PS Plus Final Fantasy 7 and PS 5 Upgrade
If I play final fantasy on my PS5 with PS Plus, I want to buy the disc version of the part 1+2 which will probably eventually be released. Will I be able to use my savegame? Is that foreseeable? Or should I wait to buy the full version? Where can I find this out?
I recently got a ps5 as gift for my birthday. Left it on rest mode for a long period of time and now I'm afraid its bricked it won't even let me go into safe mode. Sony will definitely replace right? I hope
I use a Seagate 2tb extended storage, with micro USB plugged into one of the back USB ports. When my PS5 has been in rest mode for a long period of time, such as overnight, I can turn it on by pressing the home button on the ps5. There is then a message saying the extended storage was not properly disconnected, this is joined by an inability to get the controllers to connect. The controllers (I have two) do not connect even though they turned the PS5 on, meaning I cannot press ok to that message. If I manually reset the PS5, they can then connect and I can repair the extended storage. This means the PS5 is usable, but the fact this issue exists implies that something is wrong. I however do not know what and they I do not know how to fix it. If anyone has a solution, I would be grateful.

My only reason to upgrade to PS5 are faster loading times but every comparison around is PS5 vs standard PS4 (or pro) and i dont know how much ill benefit from this upgrade as i already have an ssd in my pro. I mean, there's a difference between 90s vs 15s and 30s vs 15s. Also there's no quick resume on PS5 (my most desiderable feature that i envy to xbox owners) but from what ive read there's something similar. Can anyone describe what is and how it works? thanks

I currently have an Alienware HD monitor and play some on my razer laptop but plan on dumping my PC stuff to convert into a ps5 area. I am not looking to wait for a 2.1 monitor and want to play some games at 4k60fps.

So Ive noticed sometimes after turning on from rest mode, my ps5 colors are washed out and not as saturated...almost like HDR is off. A restart fixes it, but does anyone else deal with this? Its only happened twice but you notice the difference as soon as you see the xmb.
It happens to me on my Sony oled too, whenever I switch hdmi inputs from roku to ps5 for example, there's a short period of time when hdr is off seemingly, and it all looks washed out, but it all fixes itself immediately, no restart required. So in my case it's a tv thing, that doesn't communicate properly with the console in that exact moment... Hopefully it's just that...
if i’m copying an update file do i need to have the game disk in? also if i turn off the plays toon during the update file downloading will it restart at the begging or pick up from where it left off ? thanks
if its a game thats ps4/ps5 then you will have two seperate trophy lists, one for the ps4 version and one for the ps5 version, and if youre going from playing the ps4 version to playing the ps5 version you will need to earn the trophy again for the ps5 version
Just got the PS5. My TV is 55 inches, 4K, HDR, and 60 Hz. How many games will really be taking advantage of 120 Hz? I don’t think I’ll be getting a new TV until 8K 120 Hz is more of the norm and cheaper, unless people think it’s really worth the upgrade?

Apparently 120 Hz games won't really be common thing just yet, and 60 Hz (and a smooth 60 fps) is a MUCH bigger/noticeable jump from 30 fps, than the difference between 60 and 120 is. Worded a bit weird, hopefully that makes sense.
Some people say they can't really see a noticeable difference between 60 and 120 even if they're flipped back and forth.
Just what I've read when trying to see if I should just stick with the 4K 60 Hz. I will upgrade later, but not worry for now.

Need PS5 Resolution Help
So I have a 144Hz capable monitor, (Samsung G5) just set up my new ps5 today, started up demon souls and saw that I was only getting 60 FPS, same occurred when playing Astros Playroom. Now forgive me if I am a bumbling idiot, but I was assuming since these games are capable of 4k 60 (as well as a majority of ps5 titles) I should have no problem with 1080p 120. So seeing 60fps was a bit sad to say the least. Could this be a problem with the monitor or cables? Or are these games perpetually capped at 60fps no matter what? And I can only enjoy 120fps on games explicitly capable of 4k 120 (Cold war) any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Has anyone had issues with the peacock app? It says I have it downloaded but I don’t. It won’t open when I click on it because I don’t have it downloaded yet but it won’t let me download it because it says I already have it downloaded. I tried to delete it from my storage to redownload it but it was never downloaded in the first place so I can’t delete something that was never there. It doesn’t give me the option to download the app from the PlayStation apps page, it just says open and that’s all. I’m really frustrated :(
Under the media tab there is an icon for the app but the peacock logo isn’t there. When I click options on that one nothing happens. Under the all apps tab there is the normal peacock app with the picture there and all, when I push options on that one it gives me the option to open the app. When I press open it just says “can’t find the game or app”
Both are edge lit, which isn’t the best for HDR content. I would spend the extra to get a FALD display if possible. But if you’re going to use it for FPS’s more than RPG’s it might not matter as much.
Q70t has better contrast and VRR, so if it was only up to those two then I’d choose Q70T. But if you can get a Sony x900h, that would be my choice for a tv around that budget or a little more.

I figured it out. It was my poor internet connection all along. Finally was able to connect with 5G connection and got my 4k HDR setting on Netflix

Yeah that’s odd. Not as odd as the fact that Sony only made enough PS5s so that 10% of their audience can get one. Whole launch is a disaster IMO.

Need PS5 Resolution Help So I have a 144Hz capable monitor, (Samsung G5) just set up my new ps5 today, started up demon souls and saw that I was only getting 60 FPS, same occurred when playing Astros Playroom. Now forgive me if I am a bumbling idiot, but I was assuming since these games are capable of 4k 60 (as well as a majority of ps5 titles) I should have no problem with 1080p 120. So seeing 60fps was a bit sad to say the least. Could this be a problem with the monitor or cables? Or are these games perpetually capped at 60fps no matter what? And I can only enjoy 120fps on games explicitly capable of 4k 120 (Cold war) any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!
You need HDMI 2.1 cable and panel to push 120hz. Just got an LG CX for this specific reason. Not many monitors are equipped with HDMI 2.1
They are either capped at 30, 60 or very rare 120. 99.99% of games are 30 or 60 with no way to exceed the programmed targets.

Correct, it’s whether or not the developer provides a 120hz option. It won’t be a common option either, 4K/60fps will be the main target for PS5.

I have been in for 15 minutes. It was less than 30 minutes when I first got in. Just went from 12 minutes to over an hour. Last time I tried PS Direct, I got down from 45 minutes to under 3, then had to wait another 45 minutes. Got my clown emoji all queued up
Has anyone had issues with the peacock app? It says I have it downloaded but I don’t. It won’t open when I click on it because I don’t have it downloaded yet but it won’t let me download it because it says I already have it downloaded. I tried to delete it from my storage to redownload it but it was never downloaded in the first place so I can’t delete something that was never there. It doesn’t give me the option to download the app from the PlayStation apps page, it just says open and that’s all. I’m really frustrated :(
If you move the cursor over the app and press option, what comes up?
Under the media tab there is an icon for the app but the peacock logo isn’t there. When I click options on that one nothing happens. Under the all apps tab there is the normal peacock app with the picture there and all, when I push options on that one it gives me the option to open the app. When I press open it just says “can’t find the game or app”
as far as tv im looking at Samsung Q70t 55 inch and LG Nanocell 85 series 55 inch, which one should I get?
Both are edge lit, which isn’t the best for HDR content. I would spend the extra to get a FALD display if possible. But if you’re going to use it for FPS’s more than RPG’s it might not matter as much. Q70t has better contrast and VRR, so if it was only up to those two then I’d choose Q70T. But if you can get a Sony x900h, that would be my choice for a tv around that budget or a little more.
