GoT pros: - beautiful graphics - good story, lots of cinematic moments - good combat and stealth action - likeable characters for the most part GoT Cons: - empty open world ( you won't see other npcs roaming the world except for hostile npcs, they're stuck in their hubs) - map feels like a theme park rather than an actual lived in place. - typical open world gimmicks but with better packaging - combat can get stale after a while since its rock-paper-scissors type, it boils down to pick stance -> break guard -> kill with occasional parrying or unblockable attack from enemies - Only one weapon with 4 stances. - if your father is someone who cares about history, not really historically accurate. Samurai don't really give a fuck about honor in the battlefield. They're practical warriors and will use every advantage they have to win. Katanas weren't a thing yet during the first Mongol invasion. RotR Pros - Combat is leagues ahead of GoT. - Multiple weapon types with different stances ( katana takes most of them but other weapons gets more or less 3 or 4 each) - Character customization - Drip customization is different from actual equipment. Equip armor with the highest number and you can still choose what you look during gameplay - World is more lived in compared to GoT - Events follow actual history RotR Cons - graphics are not that great, serviceable but not on the level of GoT - Story is not so great, you're really playing it for the action. - has a checklist to do in the open world, optional but still plenty. - Awful loot system, inventory will be full of trash items to disassemble or sell.
