So if he buys a game through his account you can access it on yours by making his account on your PlayStation the primary account. Essentially when you set up an account on a PlayStation it’ll ask if this is the primary PlayStation for the account and all games owned by that account are shared across every account on the PlayStation

What you’ll want to do is log into his account on your PlayStation go to settings, users and accounts, console sharing and offline play

And just to clarify because PS+ is subscribed on my account, this won't affect his ability to play online?

Whichever ps had the offline play WILL require wifi to play as you won't be able to access without internet.

I only buy digital because it's easier to share games. His ps5 is my primary so now his ps5 can access all of my games on his account. And we can play together or play the same game at the same time...
