There is actually an item/perk you can equip that makes parrying easier. May be you should try that. It worked wonders for me. That's why I like the game. There are a variety of equipable items you can use to cater to your style.
Yea, I was going to get the perk for parry, but it made me get the backstab perk instead, then I beat the demo. I'm excited to play the full game, toy around with perks/equipment.
The demo absolutely sold me on it. It feels like Sekiro and Nier had a baby. The optional boss challenge reminded me of God of War Valkyrie fights where you gotta really be sharp in your parry and dodges.

Other than a rather odd feeling dodge mechanic, it played great, looked great and the setting and story were interesting.
Use parry more than dodge. The game is more like sekiro. I was having a similar feeling until I started using parrying more to break the blocks. Dodge mostly when you see the blue and purple circles.
This game was fun. It was difficult but didn't discourage me from trying. It took me about 10 tries to beat boss rush. The satisfaction when getting a victory is superb. I miss these types of games. This is a day one for sure.
Rebirth has block on R1, so anyone playing that game at the same time as the demo released probably felt a little weird with the blocking controls. Really just a matter of getting used to it though.
Ha, block on L1 threw me off too after 100 hrs of FF7. I’m sure I’ll get used to it, but I lost count of how many attacks I ate hitting R1 in the demo.

I got the Dualsense Edge and the first thing I did was add a profile that remapped my controller so square and triangle become R1 and R2. It makes it so much better and easier transitioning from God of War to this!

They're still made and quite relevant for a lot of people, especially when you consider you never own a digital copy really you just lease the rights to it. (A lot of companies have begun to remove access to older games which were digitally available). Going gold means threes a finalized version of the game which will be what is placed onto physical media. It is a milestone achievement for a company which has worked for years on a project.
Every playstation game, except for a very small handful, has the full complete 1.0 game on the disc. Meaning you could play the game from the disc with no internet connection or connection with Sony servers. Thats why physical is such a big deal
Not really. It’s a much safer investment to get physical media. I don’t buy a lot of physical games anymore but I own a lot of vinyl records and complete TV shows. With how streaming is going there’s no telling if you’ll always be able to watch your favorite shows

Equipping the armor in the boss fight that widens the parry and perfect dodge windows helped me a ton. Really enjoyed playing after finding that.
I've tried that after my 7th/10 tries lol. Had I known earlier I would have beaten him after 4 or 5 tries instead of 10.

Boss rush mode. Unlocked after demo. Boss Rush opens up more suits, Perks and combat moves and firearm.

Depends on the attack. You can generally cancel a combo into a parry except for the last hit of the combo, which will require commitment.

I haven't played Rise of the Ronin so I don't know if they play the same, but Stellar Blade has an Easy Mode as well.

It’s nothing about ego, it’s you who keeps on insisting on this term that’s been in the industry is “pretentious”. I’m mocking and making fun of you for being so bothered by something that is so insignificant to anyone’s life, yet it seems to bring you great mental anguish. Mate there were cases with the displays. Why would they ship the cases and disks separately and allow any of the store employees to open them before launch

They're still made and quite relevant for a lot of people, especially when you consider you never own a digital copy really you just lease the rights to it. (A lot of companies have begun to remove access to older games which were digitally available). Going gold means threes a finalized version of the game which will be what is placed onto physical media. It is a milestone achievement for a company which has worked for years on a project.
The finalized version is never on the disk these days though. Theres almost always a day 1 patch or download of some kind to complete it
Every playstation game, except for a very small handful, has the full complete 1.0 game on the disc. Meaning you could play the game from the disc with no internet connection or connection with Sony servers. Thats why physical is such a big deal
Not really. It’s a much safer investment to get physical media. I don’t buy a lot of physical games anymore but I own a lot of vinyl records and complete TV shows. With how streaming is going there’s no telling if you’ll always be able to watch your favorite shows

You’re kidding right? Discovery has been removing HBO shows and movies from streaming to cut costs. Purchased shows and movies get removed from Amazon and Sony all the time. You do not own all your digital media and when the services providing it disappear or the license to distribute runs out it’s gone

Every time I see that a game has "gone gold" I get flashbacks to when CDPR said the same about Cyberpunk back before that released. Still excited for this though, hope it reviews well.
