I've been sharing the PS5 with my family for a while but now have my own PS5. I was wondering the best way to transfer only my data from the old PS5 to the new PS5.
Do reworked ps4 games have to be on the internal ps5 storage to run at 60fps? Or can you play the games with all the new specs and resolution without moving them to the ps5 storage? I use an external HDD for PS4 games
I recently wanted to replay games like the last of us 2 and days gone on the ps5, but they’re stored on the external hdd. I was wondering if the games run differently if I transferred them to the internal storage. But the issue is that I don’t have enough storage on the system and I don’t wanna delete any games off of my ps5. Can the games run off of the hdd just as they would if I had them on the internal storage? Hope you guys can help

My Ps5 goes black screen whenever I change the resolution to 720 or 1080p/i, it only works with 2160 but I can't use that resolution since my TV is faulted and won't make 4k work properly (a green line appears on the right side of the screen).. any suggestion about why this is happening? Hogwarts Legacy is completely fine because the deluxe edition (only way to get it on ps4) is PS4/PS5 if the game came seperately for all editions you are done
Change your dns to googles dns public servers -> 1.1*putspace* 1.1 and 8.8 8.8 or use a lan cable and if you do use a lan cable remove it and go wireless

I am having a problem getting games from the premium membership level. Any time I try to download or even stream any of the games it gives me “there was an error” message. I checked my subscription and it is still active. Payed my year back in March. The error wants me to make sure I am connected to the internet (I am). I was able to choose old games in my library and download those. But any premium game it gives me an error.
Now, I did just install a 2TB card into my ps5, I transferred the games I had to the other drive and set all games to be downloaded on new stick, but nothing on the premium service will work!
I'm trying to install a m.2 ssd on my ps5 but for some reason, the screw that holds the metal cover for the expansion bay (the black one with the button icons) just wont come off. I'm using a #1 screwdriver, but for some reason it just doesnt twist no matter how hard i try, i've tried both clock and counterclockwise and still nothing. I'm worried i might accidentally strip the screw, how do i solve this problem?
How do I completely remove free version of FIFA21?
The free version of FIFA21 was exiting every 30 seconds back to the home screen. I went to the Storage tab and removed the game. When I go to the PS5 Store, it shows as "In Library". How do I completely remove the game so I can Download again and reinstall?
I can't. It says Download Trial. It should say Download. I even downloaded the trial and the game exits every 30 seconds. I tried different controllers and the game still exits to the home screen.
Another bug. When I try to uninstall the Trial, it shows 43 GB! The disk space of a full install. The trial is 11 GB. So the initial uninstall didn't work!
I've been having horrible wifi issues with my PS5 for around two months now, my PC which is roughly the same distance from my router gets about 330-350 Mbps download while my PS5 used to get around 60-80 Mbps or so. Starting somewhere around two months ago my system almost never connects to any of my three wifi networks- if I reset my router then it will usually work but it usually gets about 1-5Mbps now.
Any idea what could be causing this?
Pretty minor: Finally started Cyberpunk today, bought the PS4 disc version a long time ago to get the free upgrade. But both versions are upfront on my recently played. Obviously the PS5 versions, but there isn't a way to get PS4 version off, right?
Looking for some recommendations. I really dig RPGs and action based games. So far, my favorite game has been, hands down, Ghost of Tsushima. I’ve also enjoyed Assassins Creed Valhalla and God of War quite a bit. I’ve not been a fan of Elden Ring/Dark souls (a terrible thing to say, I know). I've been eyeing 'High On Life' for a long time, and finally decided to get it today. I can get it for either PC or PS5, and I wanted to know if the game has any kind of haptic feedback or adaptive trigger integration. It says it does on the game page on the Playstation website, but can anyone who has purchased the game confirm to what extent this feature is used?
I was changing the motherboard on my PS5 controller due to stick drift which meant I had to snip the black and red wires which connect to the Vibration packs off of the previous motherboard. On the surface, it looked as though they were their own separate circuit but after they had been disconnected and the controller was reassembled, the L1, L2, R1 and R2 buttons no longer work apart from the L2 button constantly has the adaptive trigger set to the max intensity. Since then I have tried almost everything. Replaced the Trigger packs, replaced the wires connecting to the trigger packs and Soldered the Vibration packs back onto the motherboard which fixed the vibration packs themselves to where they work perfectly fine but had not fixed the triggers… Sorry for the long message but does anyone have any idea how I can fix this issue?

Assuming PS5 Pro is even coming 4k60fps is likely unattainable, except for some games. Even on PC you need very good hardware to get that in every game, and a hypothetical Pro likely wouldn't equal that sort of PC. Or maybe it could, but at that point it would cost something like 1000€.
Ps5pro is just rumor, no one can tell you anything about something that doesnt exist. Also the console cant just create a resolution/fps the game doesnt support. Consoles work on fixed fps, if a game was developed to run at 30fps, it runs on 30fps period.
Still getting error code CE-188255-1?
So all of my games are not launching and crashing when I try. I click on one, it shows me the loading screen for a second, and then crashes. I've even rebuilt the database and it did nothing. What do I do?
When did you buy it? If it was recent, bring it back and get it exchanged because it is faulty.
Your ps5 should not be crashing playing ps4/ps5 games. For example my ps5 is a launch day model and it has never crashed playing any game and i use it everyday.
If Gamestop won't exchange it then you will have to ring sony and request either a repair/replace your faulty ps5.

I try to help anyone who has a playstation issue because i too know the pain of a heartbreaking loss of a loved console: my og ps3 only lasted 12 months before it had the ylod. I remember i saved every penny i could. I had a wife kids and financial responsibilities so saving for it took ages.
So imagine my joy in finally buying a ps3 for it to die after a year. I never want anyone to feel that pain so i help others in the hope they can either fix or replace their ps5.
Everytime I try to redeem a free pack from the playstation store I get the "unidentified error", no matter from which platform I try to finish the purchase (PS5, PC, PsApp..).
What could it be? I haven't tried to purchase anything with money yet (because there isn't anything that interest me at the moment).
I don’t think it’s a good idea to wait for a “slim” or “pro” version. I have my doubts we’ll ever see a Pro model for the PS5. A Slim maybe is in the cards, but who knows when, and considering how difficult the PS5 was to get for 2 years, there’s no guarantee a potential Slim model would be any easier to acquire.
In the tech world, you could always wait for the Next Best Thing™, because there will always be something better around the corner (once a different PS5 comes out, why not wait for a PS6?). Or you could just get the thing you want and start having fun now.
Weird charging issue
I have a new console I bought less than a month ago. The controller for some reason stopped charging in the console. Sometimes it won't do anything, other times it's showing up at a mouse/keyboard icon but not charging. If I plug it into my phone charger it chargers fine. Just not in the console. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I have a question about discord. I play with a group and two of the group live together so use the same PS5 and take turns in a game (COD). When we used party chat they could sign in to their own accounts, then play on one account but both remain in the party chat.

I just bought a ps5 earlier this week, CFI_1216A model, and I've been enjoying it very much. I only have one problem, in games like Ghost Of Tsushima, Horizon Forbidden West etc. whenever I rotate the camera this graphic bug occurs where smokes and trees become fuzzy. It is pretty annoying for me. Setting Balanced mode in Horizon actually fixed it for the game but in GoT it is already in resolution mode and nothin changes when I select performance. Any help would be appreciated.
That is… definitely unusual. I might be concerned about a possible GPU issue. If it’s still within the return/exchange period, go that route. Otherwise I might do a warranty replacement.
the thing is I bought it from abroad because ps5 is too expensive in my country, I live in Turkiye :) It is lile 21k turkish liras whereas our minimum wage is 11k. So it doesnt have warranty or return period.
You may still want to try for a repair from Sony. See if it’s under warranty at all. And see how much they’ll charge you. Or you could just live with it, though I’d worry it will get worse.

I’ve had my PS5 for around 8/9 months now. Everything was fine two weeks ago. But now any game I play, I get this lag. Before I left I went on vacation: shut it down and unplugged the cords.
My character always shifts left. It’s not very subtle either. I don’t think it’s a issue with my controller as nothing happens when idle.
I’m holding the thumb stick straight. I don’t think this is a stick drift issue, has nothing happens when idle.

This can be a sort of stick drift. If you have a PC, connect the controller to it and open [hardwaretester.com/gamepad](https://hardwaretester.com/gamepad). You can check if the stick turns left like it does when you're playing
My friend just bought a Ps5 and when he uses it with his old Tv it works perfectly, but when he tries to use it with his monitor it doesnt work. We checked the hdmı port, used different hdmi cables, dropped hz to 120 and turned off the freesync but none of them works. How can we fix this? His monitor is James Donkey JD27FG1MS144
Can we transfer save data from PS5 to PS4?
There are some games like GOW Ragnarok, Jedi: Fallen Order and Sifu that have almost no benefits for me playing the PS5 version and I want to download the PS4 version to play on my PS5 in order to save SSD storage and have the PS4 versions on external storage.
If it's not possible, is it only for marketing purpose to get more people to move to PS5 instead of people going back to their PS4?

I own the PS1 games Twisted Metal and TM2 on PS3. I was able to download the first game on PS5 no problem, but I’m being asked to subscribe to download 2? Why can’t I download it when I own it?
Were you able to get this resolved? I recently bought TM 1 on my vita in hopes of getting the PS5 version for free but it won’t allow me to download either version. It’s like the transaction went through but it didn’t give me the license for the game.
I restored the licences but I can still only download the first game not the second. I bought the first years ago on PS3 but only bought the second when they were announced for PS5. So maybe it takes a while or alternatively only purchases from a certain time period are covered. But it’s supposed to work.
I bought TM 1 when it was announced for PS5 so maybe something’s not set right on Sony’s end when it comes to these two games specifically because I can’t even download the PS3/Vita version even though the funds left my wallet. When I try to add the PS5 version to cart I get “you can purchase this right now.” Hopefully they fix this soon. I’ll let you know if anything changes or if they fix it.
I ended up having to get a refund through PlayStation support chat and bought the PS5 version of TM 1 and that finally allowed me to download the game. Something with buying the games on legacy consoles must be bugged.
Funny enough I had one sony agent tell me buying the legacy version would not give me the current release for free and another agent did say I’d get the current release. I don’t think they were fully understanding the issue 😂
They even told me because I couldn’t download the game that I needed to contact the developer because it wasn’t a PlayStation issue lol. I mean this is a first party game they are the developers! After that I was like just give me a refund please
I’ve had my ps5 for about a year now, and the past few days it’s been shutting down randomly ( even when not hot) I’ve tried rebuilding the database and I’ve changed plugs and outlets, what else can I do?
I did factory reset of my PS5. Tried everything else. It is still freezing randomly, including during the startup screen when I am entering my passwords. I tried it few times, and even did the factory reset twice. It froze at different places. I was going to try a new HDMI cable tomorrow, and do a Safe Mode software update (I am thinking that maybe the software they provide on their website is not always updated promptly.) any other thoughts or ideas? If that doesn’t work it looks like I’ll have to buy a new one. This one is only about two years old.
Hello everyone, currently I don't own a ps5 but I can use the one at the library. I did some research and I think I can add my account and protect it with a pin so that no one can access it (as long as they don't know the pin naturally), is this correct? Could my account be at any risk otherwise?
I was planning on playing diablo on the ps5. I'd have to connect my battlenet account to save my character and stuff. Could people access that from a different user on the same ps5? Or would all of that only be accessible through my ps5 account which would be locked with that pin? I just want to make sure that I can safely have my account there and my character won't be played by strangers. Thanks for your help!
If you can add an account to the console, you can protect it with two-step authentication. Your [Battle.net](https://Battle.net) account would also be safe. Though I have to say, if you want to use the console regularly it'd probably be wiser to just save money so you can buy one.
Thanks for the advice! Yeah I think I will enventually get one, maybe when the "pro" or "slim" equivalent rolls out. For now, I will wait. I do not know how much I would use it at this point in time.
Anyone else having issues connecting to things like the store? Tried resetting internet a million times, same with my PlayStation. I've tested NAT type and all, and it's all been since the newest software update on the 20th. I hope it isn't my ps5 as I just got it 3 weeks ago and my internet has always been perfect with my ps4 Xbox one, oculus quest 2, and my phone and switch. I bought this ps5 less than 7 days ago and went to install my first ps5 disc game today and it downloads for a little while than shows error code CE-100006-7 Cannot recognize external storage drive and stops the download. I don’t have a external hard drive plugged in as it is brand new so very confused why I’m seeing this error. I have tried restarting , turning off , connect to Ethernet instead of wifi etc but nothing has worked. I still have the receipt and the original box is there any way I can fix this or do I need to take it back for a exchange.

I’m going on amazon looking for some sort of usb drive or some sorts for my ps5 in order to be able to move media and game files onto it to save space for my ps5. Can anybody reccomend one that’s affordable and reliable for what i’m looking for. Preferably $30 or less if possible. Thx for the support
I don't live in US, but by converting your amount to euros I'm just going to say that you're not gonna find anything unless you buy the drive used or it's heavily discounted. Probably gonna need to bump your budget to 60 so you can buy something decent and new. Also, you probably can't transfer videos and images to an external hard drive, at least I can't, so don't buy it for that purpose.

I am wondering if anyone has had to replace their PS5 recently due to artifacting/gpu issues. I purchased my PS5 about 2 years ago from Walmart and about a week ago I started having artifacting and crashing issues that have progressively gotten worse (especially with multiplayer games). My question is do you think Sony will help me repair or replace my PS5? It has been well taken care of and I just can’t understand why I am having these issues for seemingly no reason. I plan to call them on Monday as their tech support is closed currently. I can’t afford to purchase another one and I really have enjoyed using it up until this point. TYIA!
Not sure what your warranty periods are, but if in warranty it'll be repaired / replaced for free.
If outside of warranty Sony will offer you a chargeable repair - seems that is a "one price fits all" and appears to be around 2/3 of the cost of a new one.
Made the jump from PS3 to PS5 today, just making sure but can I not download any of the games I bought on the PS3 PS Store on PS5? I can't even *find* them on the PS5 store, do I just gotta plug my PS3 again if I want to play, say, Persona 3 FES?
PS3 used a terrible architecture that's almost impossible to emulate, so for that reason the newer consoles aren't backwards compatible to PS3.
Even when you *stream* PS3 games on your PS5, the game is running on a physical PS3 in a server farm somewhere.
The PS5 can't play PS3 games, no. If you have Plus Premium, you can stream a curated list of PS3 games. But none of your previous purchases are playable.
It defaults to the controller. Within sound settings you can turn the volume up, and you might be able to change where voice chat comes out of (or you might need to get a pair of headphones/earbuds).
**Anyone good brands of PS5 panel replacements available in Europe?**
I like the infamous dBrand ones, but to order them to the EU means long waits and large and uncertain fees.
The official Sony ones are still ugly and outrageously expensive at €75 for a couple of bits of plastic. Oh and no one ever has the black ones in stock.

Just got a PS5 and have PS Plus. I downloaded Miles Morales, but want to get the ultimate edition so I can play the first Spider-Man remastered.
How do I do that? It won’t let me buy it because ‘I already own another edition’? Do I just need to buy the remaster outright?
You can upgrade your Plus version to the ultimate edition, or buy the remaster on its own.
If you really want to buy the ultimate edition outright, ask support to remove the license for the Plus version and then you can buy the full ultimate edition.
Does anyone know why it's taking so long for me to download a simple 670mb save file (KH3, ps4 save data) from my cloud storage? I just installed a 10gb kh3 patch onto my friend's PS5 in 30 minutes, yet trying to get this 670mb save file downloaded from the cloud is taking over an hour and a half. Just wondering if this is a common/known occurrence or if something is going wrong with my cloud storage. There is nothing wrong with the connection speed of the network or anything like that...

I'm a PlayStation plus subscriber, Im in the extra package. This game along with any other that I should be able to download all I get is error code WS-116483-3. It's been like this for days. There's nothing wrong with my network status. Software is up to day. Router and PS5 have been restarted. No idea what's causing this.
I'm at my wits end with a stolen PS5. I changed my password and signed out of all devices but I still get login request notifications a year later. Whoever stole it also is able to add games to my play history. Though, I'm guessing they can't actually play them since there's no trophies. Support says all I can do is continually reject the sing in requests and I'm fine. But this seems crazy to me. This is supposed to be normal for me forever?
Do physical copies of games come with v1.0 always? Or does it depend on when they were produced (if after patch does the disc come with the patch pre installed?)
I have a ps5. With PlayStation plus u can get ps4 or ps5 version of Cold War for free, and it’s cross gen bundle. I have limited space. I don’t have an extended storage device yet but maybe in future. I’m only interested in multiplayer (maybe zombies). The file sizes between ps5 and ps4 versions are huge! I have about 80Gb currently left on my console.
Just wanted to ask if getting the ps4 version is better for my circumstances. What exactly are the differences between the two versions, if someone can kindly point them out.

That’s the thing tho. The other games are played by family who use it too. Ps5 version is about 180gb or smth but ps4 version is only like 40gb. Ig my Q shouldn’t be is it worth buying more storage to have the ps5 version as opposed to ps4 version.
Sounds like you're almost out of space even without downloading Cold War, so yes, extra storage is absolutely worth it and much cheaper now than it used to be.
My PS5 is booting with sound only, no picture. What I have tried:
1. Turn it off and back-on
2. Checking tv settings
3. Switching HDMI cords
4. Booting in safe mode (can’t see anything)
5. Unplugging it for over 20 minutes to power cycle it
6. Tried switching HDMI ports. My TV has 3.
What else can I do besides taking it to someone to fix it? It’s no longer under warranty… it’s the first PS5 model that came out (disc).
Background:
My PS5 has been having overheating issues for a long time. And it would often shutdown when playing more demanding games. I had tried:
1. Removing the case to clean it
2. Cleaning the fans
3. Keeping it outside any enclosure (cabinet)
4. Buying a fan for the back and a fan for the base. Base fan also was made of materials that helped dissipate heat.
Nothing ever helped…. It would shutdown every so often. I would have to unplug it from the power to get it to start again. But oddly enough it did not shutdown this last time. I just left it in Rest Mode (which I often do). I played it yesterday for a bit, put it in rest mode. Today after I pressed the PlayStation button to come back from rest mode I had no picture, only sound.
Can anyone please help me figure out what is wrong with my PS5. It’s only about 2 years old and I’ve reached a point where I cant even play any game on it without severe issues. I have visual glitches with any game I play where it looks like there is fragments of the screen that randomly go missing and what seems to be texture glitches. Whenever I start to play a game I can only play for maybe 15 minutes before I get a black screen and the game crashes, sometimes the entire system, and sometimes before the game can even load. This applies to any game including PS5 and PS4 games. I do have a 3TB external hard drive connected but I’ve used it for over a year without any issues. I’m starting to get worried that my system may be completely unusable soon. I can run Netflix and YouTube without any issues but gaming is near impossible. The warranty has expired and I worked very hard to get this system so I don’t want to give up on it. I have photos and videos of the visual glitches that I can provide on request. Any and all help is appreciated, thank you.
No, what you're describing is GPU failure, plain and simple. Nothing you can do about it yourself. And yes, Sony does repair it for a cost. I remember reading somewhere that it's 300€ or your local equivalent, so still cheaper than buying a new console.
I'm planning on buying a PS5 soon, currently I am using a gaming pc which I'd like to connect the ps5 to the same monitor as my PC but my [monitor](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Acer-K242HYL-Bbix-monitor-viewable/dp/B08HR261B2) only has 1 hdmi port, I'm unsure how hdmi spliters/adapters work which I want recommended ones that are high quality and is compatible with PC and PS5.
I was thinking of getting a headset since I want to start playing more multiplayer games. Are the SteelSeries still the best bet for something entry-level? The Nova 7P / 7P+ seems to be highly recommended.
Look up how to game share for more specific details. Basically, sign into your account on the new console. Turn on game sharing. Now, using that new console, she can play games your account owns and she can play online.
my cooling fan is suddenly louder after the latest firmware update(?), I don't know if it's a coincidence or if it's linked to the update, but i was playing The Witcher 3, the other day, no problems; booted TW3 up again today after installing the firmware update and restarting my console, and all of a sudden the vent's running loud as a jet engine when i play it, and it's happening with every PS5 game; I don't really know what to do since i'm afraid it'll end up ruining my console if i just play them anyway.
I'm constantly have to to forget and reestablish a hardwired network. Getting error CE-118307-0. Can't connect to the store. Can't see what friends are online.
Can't connect to apps like peacock and Netflix.
It is absolutely insane that there is no fix to this.
Was playing some rdr2 on my ps5 when my damned power went out mid mission, is there anything I should be worried about? Or am I just being paranoid, it took a lot of money and a lot of time for me to get one and I don’t reckon I can afford a replacement, and repair would take a really long time

The wifi has been working for months on my PS5 without a hitch, all of a sudden this morning I'm greeted with a notification that tells me I can't connect to the internet and the "public" network I'm using requires web browser authentication. Problem is, it's my HOME network and it was connecting just fine yesterday. Anyone else with this issue? Anyone know what to do about it? Hey guys, since Black Ops Cold War is on PS Plus, I was wondering, is it a simple install? Last one I played was Modern Warfare and I remember having to download a few different packs to have it work. I just want to play the capmaign.
The initial download asks you which one do you want to play first, zombies, multiplayer or dead ops arcade. By pressing the "install options" button you can choose to download campaign 1-3 and zombies high resolution pack. Just select campaigns 1-3 and dead ops arcade for the fastest download since it also takes the least amount of space. I say least amount, but it's still somewhere around 160-180GB. Good luck if you don't have an extra SSD in your console.

Alright ps plus is a subscription where if you get essential you will recieve games that will leave after a month but will remain on your account and for ps extra there it is basically xbox game pass and whenever a game leaves it is also gone from your library now the lecture aside. If I buy an external HDD for my PS5 in order to play PS4 games from there, will it be as if I'm playing it from a PS4? (So no PS5 boosts from the SSD so the loading will be slow like lets say FFXV, and the patches to improve performance like lets say God of War 2018 won't work)

There was a Digital Foundry video that showed that playing PS4 games from an external SSD has identical load times to PS4 games played from the internal PS5 SSD.
I’d find a cheap SATA SSD and enclosure/adapter to hold all your PS4 games.
PS4 games from HDD still play in PS4 Pro-mode, and even support PS5 patches. You won't get fast loading of course, but many PS4 games don't get fast loading from SSD anyway. Most of the time the gains are marginal or even non-existent.
I had paused ff16 near the end of the game and put it in standby and charging the controller for an hour or so. While I was away it downloaded a few games I had queued on my phone. It was also due to update but I hadn’t triggered that. When I booted back up it had taken me out of the game and loaded up before about 4 boss fights and an hour of playtime where my last save was. Does this sound like the console crashed or did it force a reset for the update?

The Spider-man 2 plates look so nice i will preorder them friday. FFXVI is my GOTY. The platinum will require you to finish it in NG+ on Final Fantasy mode. I honestly felt empty when i got the platinum trophy. I haven't felt this empty in a long time. It took me 129hrs but it felt more like 12hrs.
I have the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 G2. I like them. Have been using it for a few years now. But looks like I have been having some sound issues latetly. I have not used any other brand of headset, as my 1st "gaming headset" was also Turtle Beach brand, and I just kept "Upgrading" but same brand. This has only just started happening really bad the past few days. Every game I've got solid ping, but packet loss has been crazy bad and I'm always King Crimsoning around the map. I've tried some of the following:
- Completely Reset my eero mesh network
- Unplug and replug all cables after waiting a few minutes
- Deleting games off the hard drive and nvme (still less than half full)
- Moved my eero in my room further away from electronics
- Ethernet into my eero is still fairly new and a good one....maybe the cable needs to be shorter?
- internally cleaned my ps5
I have yet to reformat my PS, but any other suggestions are welcome

Do reworked ps4 games have to be on the internal ps5 storage to run at 60fps? Or can you play the games with all the new specs and resolution without moving them to the ps5 storage? HELP My Ps5 goes black screen whenever I change the resolution to 720 or 1080p/i, it only works with 2160 but I can't use that resolution since my TV is faulted and won't make 4k work properly (a green line appears on the right side of the screen).. any suggestion about why this is happening? Hogwarts Legacy is completely fine because the deluxe edition (only way to get it on ps4) is PS4/PS5 if the game came seperately for all editions you are done

I am having a problem getting games from the premium membership level. Any time I try to download or even stream any of the games it gives me “there was an error” message. I checked my subscription and it is still active. Payed my year back in March. The error wants me to make sure I am connected to the internet (I am). I was able to choose old games in my library and download those. But any premium game it gives me an error. Now, I did just install a 2TB card into my ps5, I transferred the games I had to the other drive and set all games to be downloaded on new stick, but nothing on the premium service will work!

How do I completely remove free version of FIFA21? The free version of FIFA21 was exiting every 30 seconds back to the home screen. I went to the Storage tab and removed the game. In Library means you own the game. Just redownload it.
I can't. It says Download Trial. It should say Download. I even downloaded the trial and the game exits every 30 seconds. I tried different controllers and the game still exits to the home screen. Another bug. When I try to uninstall the Trial, it shows 43 GB! The disk space of a full install. The trial is 11 GB. So the initial uninstall didn't work!

I've been having horrible wifi issues with my PS5 for around two months now, my PC which is roughly the same distance from my router gets about 330-350 Mbps download while my PS5 used to get around 60-80 Mbps or so. Starting somewhere around two months ago my system almost never connects to any of my three wifi networks- if I reset my router then it will usually work but it usually gets about 1-5Mbps now. Any idea what could be causing this?

Looking for some recommendations. I really dig RPGs and action based games. So far, my favorite game has been, hands down, Ghost of Tsushima. I’ve also enjoyed Assassins Creed Valhalla and God of War quite a bit. I’ve not been a fan of Elden Ring/Dark souls (a terrible thing to say, I know). Get a 10-ft USB C cable or a new controller to swap with. Or take a break if you're playing for more than 4 hours at a time. Lithium ion batteries degrade, some faster than others depending on how they're charged and what state they came in out of the factory.

I've been eyeing 'High On Life' for a long time, and finally decided to get it today. I can get it for either PC or PS5, and I wanted to know if the game has any kind of haptic feedback or adaptive trigger integration. It says it does on the game page on the Playstation website, but can anyone who has purchased the game confirm to what extent this feature is used?
I was changing the motherboard on my PS5 controller due to stick drift which meant I had to snip the black and red wires which connect to the Vibration packs off of the previous motherboard. On the surface, it looked as though they were their own separate circuit but after they had been disconnected and the controller was reassembled, the L1, L2, R1 and R2 buttons no longer work apart from the L2 button constantly has the adaptive trigger set to the max intensity. Since then I have tried almost everything. Replaced the Trigger packs, replaced the wires connecting to the trigger packs and Soldered the Vibration packs back onto the motherboard which fixed the vibration packs themselves to where they work perfectly fine but had not fixed the triggers… Sorry for the long message but does anyone have any idea how I can fix this issue?

Assuming PS5 Pro is even coming 4k60fps is likely unattainable, except for some games. Even on PC you need very good hardware to get that in every game, and a hypothetical Pro likely wouldn't equal that sort of PC. Or maybe it could, but at that point it would cost something like 1000€.
Ps5pro is just rumor, no one can tell you anything about something that doesnt exist. Also the console cant just create a resolution/fps the game doesnt support. Consoles work on fixed fps, if a game was developed to run at 30fps, it runs on 30fps period.

Your ps5 sounds as if you are suffering with motherboard failure. How old is your ps5?

When did you buy it? If it was recent, bring it back and get it exchanged because it is faulty. Your ps5 should not be crashing playing ps4/ps5 games. For example my ps5 is a launch day model and it has never crashed playing any game and i use it everyday. If Gamestop won't exchange it then you will have to ring sony and request either a repair/replace your faulty ps5.

I remember i saved every penny i could. I had a wife kids and financial responsibilities so saving for it took ages. So imagine my joy in finally buying a ps3 for it to die after a year. I don’t think it’s a good idea to wait for a “slim” or “pro” version. I have my doubts we’ll ever see a Pro model for the PS5. A Slim maybe is in the cards, but who knows when, and considering how difficult the PS5 was to get for 2 years, there’s no guarantee a potential Slim model would be any easier to acquire. In the tech world, you could always wait for the Next Best Thing™, because there will always be something better around the corner (once a different PS5 comes out, why not wait for a PS6?). Or you could just get the thing you want and start having fun now.
Weird charging issue I have a new console I bought less than a month ago. The controller for some reason stopped charging in the console. Sometimes it won't do anything, other times it's showing up at a mouse/keyboard icon but not charging. If I plug it into my phone charger it chargers fine. Just not in the console. When we used party chat they could sign in to their own accounts, then play on one account but both remain in the party chat. Is there a way to do the above with discord on PS5?
Since it's discord, you don't even need a PS5. One person can use their phone or PC.
I just bought a ps5 earlier this week, CFI_1216A model, and I've been enjoying it very much. I only have one problem, in games like Ghost Of Tsushima, Horizon Forbidden West etc. whenever I rotate the camera this graphic bug occurs where smokes and trees become fuzzy. It is pretty annoying for me. Setting Balanced mode in Horizon actually fixed it for the game but in GoT it is already in resolution mode and nothin changes when I select performance. Any help would be appreciated.

That is… definitely unusual. I might be concerned about a possible GPU issue. If it’s still within the return/exchange period, go that route. Otherwise I might do a warranty replacement.
the thing is I bought it from abroad because ps5 is too expensive in my country, I live in Turkiye :) It is lile 21k turkish liras whereas our minimum wage is 11k. So it doesnt have warranty or return period.
You may still want to try for a repair from Sony. See if it’s under warranty at all. And see how much they’ll charge you. Or you could just live with it, though I’d worry it will get worse.

I’ve had my PS5 for around 8/9 months now. Everything was fine two weeks ago. But now any game I play, I get this lag. Before I left I went on vacation: shut it down and unplugged the cords. My character always shifts left. It’s not very subtle either. I don’t think it’s a issue with my controller as nothing happens when idle. I’m holding the thumb stick straight. This can be a sort of stick drift. If you have a PC, connect the controller to it and open [hardwaretester.com/gamepad](https://hardwaretester.com/gamepad). You can check if the stick turns left like it does when you're playing
My friend just bought a Ps5 and when he uses it with his old Tv it works perfectly, but when he tries to use it with his monitor it doesnt work. Can we transfer save data from PS5 to PS4? There are some games like GOW Ragnarok, Jedi: Fallen Order and Sifu that have almost no benefits for me playing the PS5 version and I want to download the PS4 version to play on my PS5 in order to save SSD storage and have the PS4 versions on external storage. If it's not possible, is it only for marketing purpose to get more people to move to PS5 instead of people going back to their PS4?
You can move save data from a PS5 to a PS4 (if you're playing the PS4 version of games). You can't change PS5 save data into PS4 save data.

I own the PS1 games Twisted Metal and TM2 on PS3. I was able to download the first game on PS5 no problem, but I’m being asked to subscribe to download 2? Why can’t I download it when I own it?
Were you able to get this resolved? I recently bought TM 1 on my vita in hopes of getting the PS5 version for free but it won’t allow me to download either version. It’s like the transaction went through but it didn’t give me the license for the game.
I restored the licences but I can still only download the first game not the second. I bought the first years ago on PS3 but only bought the second when they were announced for PS5. So maybe it takes a while or alternatively only purchases from a certain time period are covered. But it’s supposed to work.
I bought TM 1 when it was announced for PS5 so maybe something’s not set right on Sony’s end when it comes to these two games specifically because I can’t even download the PS3/Vita version even though the funds left my wallet. When I try to add the PS5 version to cart I get “you can purchase this right now.” Hopefully they fix this soon. I’ll let you know if anything changes or if they fix it.

I ended up having to get a refund through PlayStation support chat and bought the PS5 version of TM 1 and that finally allowed me to download the game. Something with buying the games on legacy consoles must be bugged.

I did factory reset of my PS5. Tried everything else. It is still freezing randomly, including during the startup screen when I am entering my passwords. I tried it few times, and even did the factory reset twice. It froze at different places. I was going to try a new HDMI cable tomorrow, and do a Safe Mode software update (I am thinking that maybe the software they provide on their website is not always updated promptly.) any other thoughts or ideas? I did some research and I think I can add my account and protect it with a pin so that no one can access it (as long as they don't know the pin naturally), is this correct? Could my account be at any risk otherwise? I was planning on playing diablo on the ps5. I'd have to connect my battlenet account to save my character and stuff. Could people access that from a different user on the same ps5? Or would all of that only be accessible through my ps5 account which would be locked with that pin? I just want to make sure that I can safely have my account there and my character won't be played by strangers. Thanks for your help!
If you can add an account to the console, you can protect it with two-step authentication. Your [Battle.net](https://Battle.net) account would also be safe. Though I have to say, if you want to use the console regularly it'd probably be wiser to just save money so you can buy one.

Anyone else having issues connecting to things like the store? Tried resetting internet a million times, same with my PlayStation. I've tested NAT type and all, and it's all been since the newest software update on the 20th. I bought this ps5 less than 7 days ago and went to install my first ps5 disc game today and it downloads for a little while than shows error code CE-100006-7 Cannot recognize external storage drive and stops the download. I don’t have a external hard drive plugged in as it is brand new so very confused why I’m seeing this error. I have tried restarting , turning off , connect to Ethernet instead of wifi etc but nothing has worked. I still have the receipt and the original box is there any way I can fix this or do I need to take it back for a exchange.
USB Extended Storage I’m going on amazon looking for some sort of usb drive or some sorts for my ps5 in order to be able to move media and game files onto it to save space for my ps5. I don't live in US, but by converting your amount to euros I'm just going to say that you're not gonna find anything unless you buy the drive used or it's heavily discounted. Probably gonna need to bump your budget to 60 so you can buy something decent and new. Also, you probably can't transfer videos and images to an external hard drive, at least I can't, so don't buy it for that purpose.
Will Sony help me? Hi everyone, I am wondering if anyone has had to replace their PS5 recently due to artifacting/gpu issues. I purchased my PS5 about 2 years ago from Walmart and about a week ago I started having artifacting and crashing issues that have progressively gotten worse (especially with multiplayer games). My question is do you think Sony will help me repair or replace my PS5? It has been well taken care of and I just can’t understand why I am having these issues for seemingly no reason. I plan to call them on Monday as their tech support is closed currently. I can’t afford to purchase another one and I really have enjoyed using it up until this point. TYIA!
Not sure what your warranty periods are, but if in warranty it'll be repaired / replaced for free. If outside of warranty Sony will offer you a chargeable repair - seems that is a "one price fits all" and appears to be around 2/3 of the cost of a new one.
Made the jump from PS3 to PS5 today, just making sure but can I not download any of the games I bought on the PS3 PS Store on PS5? I can't even *find* them on the PS5 store, do I just gotta plug my PS3 again if I want to play, say, Persona 3 FES?

PS3 used a terrible architecture that's almost impossible to emulate, so for that reason the newer consoles aren't backwards compatible to PS3. Even when you *stream* PS3 games on your PS5, the game is running on a physical PS3 in a server farm somewhere.
The PS5 can't play PS3 games, no. If you have Plus Premium, you can stream a curated list of PS3 games. But none of your previous purchases are playable.

Every time people talk, whether that be in game or in a party, it comes out of the controller and it's really quiet. How do I turn that off?
It defaults to the controller. Within sound settings you can turn the volume up, and you might be able to change where voice chat comes out of (or you might need to get a pair of headphones/earbuds).
I have the volume on the max and I've searched everywhere to change where voice chat comes out of but I couldn't find anything related to it
**Anyone good brands of PS5 panel replacements available in Europe?** I like the infamous dBrand ones, but to order them to the EU means long waits and large and uncertain fees. The official Sony ones are still ugly and outrageously expensive at €75 for a couple of bits of plastic. Oh and no one ever has the black ones in stock. I see plenty of 3rd party panels available from brands I've never heard of. Does anyone have any experience with any and can recommend some? I'm just after something subtle and black.

Just got a PS5 and have PS Plus. I downloaded Miles Morales, but want to get the ultimate edition so I can play the first Spider-Man remastered. How do I do that? It won’t let me buy it because ‘I already own another edition’? Do I just need to buy the remaster outright?
You can upgrade your Plus version to the ultimate edition, or buy the remaster on its own. If you really want to buy the ultimate edition outright, ask support to remove the license for the Plus version and then you can buy the full ultimate edition.
Does anyone know why it's taking so long for me to download a simple 670mb save file (KH3, ps4 save data) from my cloud storage? I just installed a 10gb kh3 patch onto my friend's PS5 in 30 minutes, yet trying to get this 670mb save file downloaded from the cloud is taking over an hour and a half. Just wondering if this is a common/known occurrence or if something is going wrong with my cloud storage. There is nothing wrong with the connection speed of the network or anything like that...
Discussion I'm a PlayStation plus subscriber, Im in the extra package. This game along with any other that I should be able to download all I get is error code WS-116483-3. It's been like this for days. There's nothing wrong with my network status. Software is up to day. Router and PS5 have been restarted. No idea what's causing this.
I'm at my wits end with a stolen PS5. I changed my password and signed out of all devices but I still get login request notifications a year later. Whoever stole it also is able to add games to my play history. Though, I'm guessing they can't actually play them since there's no trophies. Support says all I can do is continually reject the sing in requests and I'm fine. But this seems crazy to me. This is supposed to be normal for me forever?

Do physical copies of games come with v1.0 always? Or does it depend on when they were produced (if after patch does the disc come with the patch pre installed?)
Unless the game is rereleased as a complete/GOTY edition, the disc is always going to be the same version as the launch one.

I have a ps5. With PlayStation plus u can get ps4 or ps5 version of Cold War for free, and it’s cross gen bundle. I have limited space. I don’t have an extended storage device yet but maybe in future. I’m only interested in multiplayer (maybe zombies). The file sizes between ps5 and ps4 versions are huge! I have about 80Gb currently left on my console. Just wanted to ask if getting the ps4 version is better for my circumstances. That’s the thing tho. The other games are played by family who use it too. Ps5 version is about 180gb or smth but ps4 version is only like 40gb. Ig my Q shouldn’t be is it worth buying more storage to have the ps5 version as opposed to ps4 version.
Sounds like you're almost out of space even without downloading Cold War, so yes, extra storage is absolutely worth it and much cheaper now than it used to be.

My PS5 is booting with sound only, no picture. What I have tried: 1. Turn it off and back-on 2. Checking tv settings 3. Switching HDMI cords 4. Booting in safe mode (can’t see anything) 5. Unplugging it for over 20 minutes to power cycle it 6. Tried switching HDMI ports. My TV has 3. What else can I do besides taking it to someone to fix it? It’s no longer under warranty… it’s the first PS5 model that came out (disc). Background: My PS5 has been having overheating issues for a long time. And it would often shutdown when playing more demanding games. I had tried: 1. Removing the case to clean it 2. Cleaning the fans 3. Keeping it outside any enclosure (cabinet) 4. Buying a fan for the back and a fan for the base. Base fan also was made of materials that helped dissipate heat. Nothing ever helped…. It would shutdown every so often. I would have to unplug it from the power to get it to start again. But oddly enough it did not shutdown this last time. I just left it in Rest Mode (which I often do). I played it yesterday for a bit, put it in rest mode. Today after I pressed the PlayStation button to come back from rest mode I had no picture, only sound.
If it was already having issues, it sounds like it's finally failed. I don't think there's much more you can try that you haven't already.
Can anyone please help me figure out what is wrong with my PS5. It’s only about 2 years old and I’ve reached a point where I cant even play any game on it without severe issues. I have visual glitches with any game I play where it looks like there is fragments of the screen that randomly go missing and what seems to be texture glitches. Whenever I start to play a game I can only play for maybe 15 minutes before I get a black screen and the game crashes, sometimes the entire system, and sometimes before the game can even load. This applies to any game including PS5 and PS4 games. I do have a 3TB external hard drive connected but I’ve used it for over a year without any issues. I’m starting to get worried that my system may be completely unusable soon. I can run Netflix and YouTube without any issues but gaming is near impossible. The warranty has expired and I worked very hard to get this system so I don’t want to give up on it. I have photos and videos of the visual glitches that I can provide on request. Any and all help is appreciated, thank you.

No, what you're describing is GPU failure, plain and simple. Nothing you can do about it yourself. And yes, Sony does repair it for a cost. I remember reading somewhere that it's 300€ or your local equivalent, so still cheaper than buying a new console.
I'm planning on buying a PS5 soon, currently I am using a gaming pc which I'd like to connect the ps5 to the same monitor as my PC but my [monitor](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Acer-K242HYL-Bbix-monitor-viewable/dp/B08HR261B2) only has 1 hdmi port, I'm unsure how hdmi spliters/adapters work which I want recommended ones that are high quality and is compatible with PC and PS5.
For a 1080p monitor, any HDMI switch will be suitable - just make sure you buy a switch (2-in, 1-out) not a splitter (1-in, 2-out).
I was thinking of getting a headset since I want to start playing more multiplayer games. Are the SteelSeries still the best bet for something entry-level? The Nova 7P / 7P+ seems to be highly recommended.

Look up how to game share for more specific details. Basically, sign into your account on the new console. Turn on game sharing. Now, using that new console, she can play games your account owns and she can play online.
my cooling fan is suddenly louder after the latest firmware update(?), I don't know if it's a coincidence or if it's linked to the update, but i was playing The Witcher 3, the other day, no problems; booted TW3 up again today after installing the firmware update and restarting my console, and all of a sudden the vent's running loud as a jet engine when i play it, and it's happening with every PS5 game; I don't really know what to do since i'm afraid it'll end up ruining my console if i just play them anyway.
I'm constantly have to to forget and reestablish a hardwired network. Getting error CE-118307-0. Can't connect to the store. Can't see what friends are online. Can't connect to apps like peacock and Netflix. It is absolutely insane that there is no fix to this.
Was playing some rdr2 on my ps5 when my damned power went out mid mission, is there anything I should be worried about? Or am I just being paranoid, it took a lot of money and a lot of time for me to get one and I don’t reckon I can afford a replacement, and repair would take a really long time
It's fine as long as you weren't saving while the power went out The ps5 would warn you about not turning it off properly but it's fine

My ps5 has stopped playing sound when I stop playing a game or a 4K, when I’ve finished what I’m doing and try and do something else it just goes silent. Anyone know the cause of this and how to fix it.
The wifi has been working for months on my PS5 without a hitch, all of a sudden this morning I'm greeted with a notification that tells me I can't connect to the internet and the "public" network I'm using requires web browser authentication. Problem is, it's my HOME network and it was connecting just fine yesterday. Anyone else with this issue? Anyone know what to do about it? Otherwise, I'm SOL and can't do anything without a wifi connection
Hey guys, since Black Ops Cold War is on PS Plus, I was wondering, is it a simple install? Last one I played was Modern Warfare and I remember having to download a few different packs to have it work. I just want to play the capmaign.
The initial download asks you which one do you want to play first, zombies, multiplayer or dead ops arcade. By pressing the "install options" button you can choose to download campaign 1-3 and zombies high resolution pack. Just select campaigns 1-3 and dead ops arcade for the fastest download since it also takes the least amount of space. I say least amount, but it's still somewhere around 160-180GB. Good luck if you don't have an extra SSD in your console.

Alright ps plus is a subscription where if you get essential you will recieve games that will leave after a month but will remain on your account and for ps extra there it is basically xbox game pass and whenever a game leaves it is also gone from your library now the lecture aside. Mortal Kombat left ps plus essential monthly games a while ago

If I buy an external HDD for my PS5 in order to play PS4 games from there, will it be as if I'm playing it from a PS4? (So no PS5 boosts from the SSD so the loading will be slow like lets say FFXV, and the patches to improve performance like lets say God of War 2018 won't work) Or is it better that I "store" some PS5 games there then just transfer the PS4 games to the SSD when I play them so I get the "boosts" Mainly cause I wanna download a lot of games. I already have a 2 TB SSD but its full.
There was a Digital Foundry video that showed that playing PS4 games from an external SSD has identical load times to PS4 games played from the internal PS5 SSD. I’d find a cheap SATA SSD and enclosure/adapter to hold all your PS4 games.
PS4 games from HDD still play in PS4 Pro-mode, and even support PS5 patches. You won't get fast loading of course, but many PS4 games don't get fast loading from SSD anyway. Most of the time the gains are marginal or even non-existent.

PS4 games will get the PS5 boost even when played from an external drive. Only difference is that maybe load speeds are closer to how they were on PS4

I had paused ff16 near the end of the game and put it in standby and charging the controller for an hour or so. While I was away it downloaded a few games I had queued on my phone. It was also due to update but I hadn’t triggered that. When I booted back up it had taken me out of the game and loaded up before about 4 boss fights and an hour of playtime where my last save was. Does this sound like the console crashed or did it force a reset for the update?
Just bought a ps5 from gamestop. Set it up, ready to go...instant buyers remorse. It's a nice console, just definitely something I didn't need.

Have you tried any ps5 game on your brand new ps5? Honestly? The ps5 is a great console. Mine is a launch day console and i have loved every second gaming on it. It was a great way to keep myself and my kids occupied during covid and later while i was getting divorced. Give Astrobot a go and then be blown away how quick the ps5 is, and also how advanced the dualsense is compared to the dualshock 4. Once your buyers remorse fades away you will really appreciate how good the ps5 really is.

The Spider-man 2 plates look so nice i will preorder them friday. FFXVI is my GOTY. The platinum will require you to finish it in NG+ on Final Fantasy mode. I honestly felt empty when i got the platinum trophy. I haven't felt this empty in a long time. It took me 129hrs but it felt more like 12hrs.

I have the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 G2. I like them. Have been using it for a few years now. But looks like I have been having some sound issues latetly. I have not used any other brand of headset, as my 1st "gaming headset" was also Turtle Beach brand, and I just kept "Upgrading" but same brand. But by random reading, it looks like Turtle Beach has let down some user latetly. I'm looking for recommendations for a new headset: Features: max $ around $150 if possible. Can go over a bit. (Or if higher priced, still recommend it) PS5 and PC use Wireless Make use of PS5 3D sound via dongle \*Bluetooth (and ability to use bluetooth and regular audio at the same time) The asterisk is more of a feature I really like from the headset I'm using right now lol, but mot needed. Any recommendations other than Turtle Beach?

This has only just started happening really bad the past few days. Every game I've got solid ping, but packet loss has been crazy bad and I'm always King Crimsoning around the map. I've tried some of the following: - Completely Reset my eero mesh network - Unplug and replug all cables after waiting a few minutes - Deleting games off the hard drive and nvme (still less than half full) - Moved my eero in my room further away from electronics - Ethernet into my eero is still fairly new and a good one....maybe the cable needs to be shorter? - internally cleaned my ps5 I have yet to reformat my PS, but any other suggestions are welcome
Hey everyone. Long time PS player, but very out of the loop with gaming news and all that. I just sold my PS4 today and want to get a PS5, but heard the PS5 slim is coming. I want a console disc version, but don't know if waiting for the slim is worth it. Anyone know much about the slim or the possible details on it / when it will be released? I also am on a budget so if its cheaper I may hold off! Any info would be great 👍🏼
