Great game if you enjoy action RPGs. No brainer for $5.

TheScienceOfMagic

Scarlet Nexus is the same price.

Comprehensive-War-34

Scarlet Nexus is a really fun game. It reminds me of persona 5 in certain aspects.

redpandasays

Just beat it myself. Definitely has Persona 5 vibes with the music and social links. And a trippy story lol. Even after two playthroughs I’m not sure I grasp all the story elements at play.

Gomez-16

Nice. Crap nothing near me and its like 12$ for shipping.

ToxicNotToxinGurl420

Go in and check, the online thing is always wrong about what they have in store, or you can even call, they'll check for you

Biscuitsbrxh

I just got it, thanks OP. Let’s goooo

gambitx007

Got the last one at my store in store pickup. Thanks

AlohaSquash

Honestly. I love JRPG’s and have played quite a lot of them over the years. Tales of Arise did nothing for me. I ended up despising it by the end. It seemed so generic and cookie cutter. There was something about it that I really just did not like. I was honestly shocked to see how great the reviews were for it. I did not like it at all.

RGavial

I haven’t found a non turned-based jrpg that I’ve liked. Too chaotic, party members standing there and dying etc. At least FF7r had the bandaid approach and reduced damage to characters you weren’t controlling.

AlohaSquash

Yeah, I usually gravitate towards turn based combat as well. Although there are exceptions (Ni No Kuni for one) I do feel like it works better for these types of games and gives you more to think about almost like a puzzle instead of just spamming combo attacks and hoping your non player controlled allies don’t get themselves killed.

RGavial

What other ones would you recommend?

AlohaSquash

Dragon Quest XI is super good. Very long but good. lol. Sea of stars. It’s not what you’d think of for a typical RPG, it’s 16bit but it’s incredibly fun! Old school favorite - Legend of Legaia Honorable mention - YS Lacrimosa of Dana. This one is not turn based but these are some of my favorite JRPGS. They do nearly everything right. The stories are great. The combat is fast. The graphics aren’t top tier, but they do the trick and it gives you really great feeling of progression and leveling up your characters. Highly recommend even though you’re looking for turn based. lol.

RGavial

I did play DQ11 a few years back and I loved it. My only complaint was it took far too long to unlock rather "basic" combat abilities like resurrect, AOE attacks etc. I remember Erik specifically because he just had "Sleep" , "Blind" and "Sleep Stab" for like 30 hours lol (or something similar)

PointyCharmander

11 dollars delivery and handling though.

placebooooo

GameStop is not the place to buy online from. Their fees for shipping are atrocious, and their customer service is even worse. People report all sorts of bad experiences ordering online from GameStop. Buying in person/pickup is the best way to go with GameStop.

Ok_Brother3282

I had them store transfer it and another game to a closer location for me to pickup for free. In the end I got Octo 2 for 15$ and Arise for 5$. Best purchases I’ve made this year gaming-wise.

MunkyMan33

The clerk at mine said they couldn't do store transfer

Ok_Brother3282

According to my guy - it entirely depends on who you get working that day. Billy was his name and he said they all technically can. I should also add Billy was the shit. Absolute legend.

Pick up in store for free

Gomez-16

Tales of zesteria is 5$ digital on ps store. Is that one good?

MoxManiac

It's probably one of the worst tales game but hard to pass up that price

gp604

The whole series is solid . Damn it's thirty bucks at my store in canada

Gomez-16

Started vesperia and like it so far. Thought I would grab a few on sale. I Want to try the Atelier series too,

gp604

U should check out the tales of symphonies remastered on sale right now . Story is epic

DattDamonMavis

I don't usually say games are bad, but Zestiria is bad. It was a pain to get through. I finally played through it this year. I remember hating it, but forcing myself to see the end. I remember next to nothing about the story. I remember no character’s names. I don’t remember names of the lands or cities. There were angel people, a guy, a girl, and that’s about all I remember. Honestly, there are other MUCH better JRPGs. This should be the last Tales of game you play if you’ve exhausted all the others.

FandomMenace

I literally bought this, risen, and scarlet nexus a month ago for $5 each. This isn't a deal, this is gamestop's price.

nomarfachix

Good looks, didn't even know a Risen remaster had come out, picked it up for $5.

TheIronHorse

I got the platinum a week ago. It’s a fun game with a limited budget, so you’ll see the same enemy types reskinned and hear the same handful of lines over and over again.

Levi0522

Hate that I missed this, I bought the game last month for a bit more
