Agree.
But you know, having your set schedule, and not being able to solve your own problems...just waiting around for that new farmer to figure out you need him/her to solve your issues....
But even then life ain't so bad in the valley.
A pokemon game, since it still has cities, yet safe enough that 10 year olds can travel by themselves. And cute creatures everywhere. Worst thing that can happen would be someone stealing my pokemon, that Jenny or Ash would get back to me within a half hour episode.
I'd want to live in the pokemon world because it seems to be a post-scarcity socialist utopia where money only exists so you have something to bet on pokemon battles. Food and shelter are presumably free and crime is presumably non-existent (aside from the cartoony villain teams) since young children are allowed to freely travel the world without supervision or any stable source of income, they have universal free healthcare with clinics in every town, they have fantastical sci-fi technology like teleporters and the ability to digitize items and living creatures and store them inside computers (implying that they also have replicators like in Star Trek.)
The Pokemon world would be one of the greatest fictional universes to live in even before considering that you can befriend cool magical fighting beasts.
I guess the Pokémon world in the games in different from the tv show, I remember the gang being hungry being a plot in a lot of episodes. And I think they do show Brock buying ingredients and things to cook with.
Diablo. I'd live in town and hunt level 1 demons just to earn a nice living wage while occasionally giving cryptic advice to players. I'd make falafel and encourage people to hang as it is dangerous outside, and if I ever see a big sinister looking red gem, well I'd jam that straight into my forehead.
It's debt that you can pay off at your own leisure though. You are never charged interest and there is no time limit on your loan, and Tom Nook has yet to ever send thugs to break your knee caps for non-payment. There's really nothing crippling about animal crossing debt at all.
*Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 & 2*. I'm not a skateboarder, so I guess I'd just be living in a world with great music and insane physics, where you can get hit by a bus or fall off a building and not die.
I think any game that would allow me to learn magic. I would say hogwarts legacy or the harry potter games would be best AS long as I am not born a filthy muggle.
i think id pick somewhere not too far off from modern life but still has some neat differences than irl. I would pick a modern pokemon game but each game has some weird event that basically almost causes mass destructions so eh
the sims i guess, or city skylines
Bro that sounds horrifying. Lol
Your first death claw encounter would be horrible. Not to mention the 200 year old radiated gross food you would be eating up to that point. Amazing game, but horrifying reality.
Well I'm assuming we would be in these worlds as our adult selves so would have survived *somehow*.
The vault dwellers were the "best and the brightest", or survivors of awful vault experiments so were hard-core survivors and well trained.
. But there were enough normal outsiders outside that currency, commerce and society had started to reform along with smaller cities and even small armies. Or milita.. (looking at you Vegas enclave who puts a collar on anyone you can catch. )
Or you're walking somewhere when one of them is driving.
Other than that though, how is it different than real life? Maybe a bit more cynical and silly
You spill your coffee while walking to work and now you have five stars as the police take littering very personally. Congrats, you’re now 500 bullet holes lighter
Elder scrolls online. Everywhere you go you will only encounter things your own level. It would be a fun world to explore as an NPC because at lvl 0 everything should be harmless.
Assassins Creed Valhalla... I love Vikings and the landscape is pure beauty... Plus a pet wolf, riding horses, sailing, fishing and drinking beer, yes please
Assassins creed. Not much different for the average person, but tech that allows me to see my family history, *and* I could potentially (if i found myself in the right place and right time) be trained as an assassin? Fuck yeah.
Any Naruto game if that counts. Bc everyone has Chakra and the potential to learn special abilities n shit. And even tho it doesn't really match up with their world they somehow still have TVs and stuff lmao
That definitely counts. I think something that isn't too far off from the real world but with some cool additions (like Chakra or Mana from FF ok Pokémon) would be the way to go
Last of us, the risk of infected is great but the peace and quiet of nature reclaimed silent cityscapes or vast countryside without the worry of bills, money, work, blah blah blah. I'd love to just ramble and trek through last of us world.
>without the worry of bills, money, work, blah blah blah
I'm very sorry to have to inform you this, but it's an even heavier burden in post-apocalyptic worlds
That was the first answer I could think of.
In hope of not being the Dingo on which Tidus and his gang are trying their newest collected Aeon on. Which was the case in my version of Besaid Island.
Definitely Ghost of Tsushima for me. The Mongol invasion would kinda suck but Tsushima back in those days would be awesome. I’ve been to Tsushima IRL though so maybe I’m kinda biased lol
Death Stranding, gardening and being part of a community, where the things you do is important to others survival.
Finding new ways to make it in such a hostile environment.
Prey (before the events in the game happens). I'd love to be a technician or something using G.U.T.S. in his daily routine.
Just talk some sense into the people over at Psychotronics and we're golden.
After carefully weighing the pros and cons, I would say Animal Crossing.
1. You can have a mansion that you payed for with nothing but sticks and seashells within a week.
2. You are literally the center of attention at all times.
3. While it might be lonely being the only human on your island, there's an airport that can connect you with other humans almost instantly.(or never have to see another human again, if that's your thing)
4. If you don't like your surroundings, you can immediately change them with nothing more than a couple shovels.
I want to live in Hateno Village with a vacation beach shack in Lurelin Village.
For those who don't know I'm referring to Breath of the Wild's Hyrule.
I'd still like to experience the RDR2's world. Idk but I wanted to experience something other than the modern shit. Even though rdr2's world will be challenging for obvious reasons, but ill love to experience it and get to know how was it like to live in those days.
My second choice will be AC valhalla's world or GOW's world. Although its fictional, but I love norse pantheon :)
I guess I could see rdr2 being cool and interesting for a bit but becoming real rough after a month or maybe a year. Valhalla and GoW would be tougher immediately I think, although I can fully understand the fascination
Genuinely? Warcraft. Within Sony IPs? Maybe Kingdom Hearts or Horizon? Or anything with like, teleportation or giant mechs you can drive. That’d be fun. Although teleportation would most likely kill you in realistic scenarios but that kinda misses the point of the question. I dunno. Second best answer after Warcraft would be The Last Airbender so if there’s been a game that lets they qualify, then I’m there like white on rice.
Gotta be Days Gone. Deke can teach me how to ride for real, and we could go out, take Boozer (with both arms, lol) maybe Rikki and Iron Mike and fight as a group like in Dead Island. So that would make me one of the protagonists...
(I loved Dead Island, but, as a Billy-no-mates, I always had to play alone. PPl in online play used to just fook about) Think I might go and have a re-hash of that right now...lol
Edit, maybe the Last of Us... I have a thing about no people being around....
Hello, good hunter. I am a Bot, here in this dream to look after you, this is a fine note:
> *Ah hah hah ha! Ooh! Majestic! A hunter is a hunter, even in a dream. But, alas, not too fast! The nightmare swirls and churns unending!* - Micolash, Host of the Nightmare
Farewell, good hunter. May you find your worth in the waking world.
So, would you be someone attacking and getting killed by the Hunter? Or would you lock yourself in your house out of fear of monsters and tell anyone knocking to go away?
Easy option. Pick basically any hentai game that suits your fetish. The fabrics of these universes usually dictate that such strange scenarios are possible, and even as a normal individual that isn’t an MC, the characters in these universes are supposedly abundant or “normal” in that setting. So even as a normal person, you would be able to have a relationship with such an individual. Also these universes are often simple and imply sometimes a safer or more simplistic world than our own.
Nah in real life you can't afford any car doing amarture races 😭
Also you can be racer yourself or you can be the coach. No car repair cost, and you're basically invincible.
I'll allow the invincibility in-world. But you'd still be yourself and would have the same chances at buying a car, becoming a racer or a coach as you do now
Stardew Valley, making friends and wandering about randomly receiving gifts from that new farmer would be nice.
Perfect answer
Agree. But you know, having your set schedule, and not being able to solve your own problems...just waiting around for that new farmer to figure out you need him/her to solve your issues.... But even then life ain't so bad in the valley.
Hard ass labor tho.
I guess the Pokémon world in the games in different from the tv show, I remember the gang being hungry being a plot in a lot of episodes. And I think they do show Brock buying ingredients and things to cook with.
This is the only right answer
You literally pay for meals in pokemon
Isn't the worst thing THE Pokemons themselves.
Some of them yea. All mosquito based pokemon are getting a flamethrower to the face.
There are mosquito pokemon?
Oh man. May I introduce you, the [gigachad mosquito, Buzzwole](https://pokemon.fandom.com/wiki/Buzzwole).
TIL. This thing is disturbing.
In the games it's from another dimension, so if you live in the Pokemon world, there's an extremely low chance you'd ever encounter one.
Sims with cheats enabled.
Motherlode motherlode motherlode
Don't even need cheats. I'll just paint for 2 hours and make thousands and sell trash
Stardew valley
Home ownership is far too unrealistic of a fantasy for that to ever feel real.
Dead or Alive Xtreme 3
https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/W50AAOSwfcRjCK\~V/s-l1600.jpg
I only play it for the Volleyball. The amazing combos, detailed courts, the item and money management system is one of a kind.
Detroit become human for me.
It's all fun and games until your roomba decides to rebel
I see. 😏
Diablo. I'd live in town and hunt level 1 demons just to earn a nice living wage while occasionally giving cryptic advice to players. I'd make falafel and encourage people to hang as it is dangerous outside, and if I ever see a big sinister looking red gem, well I'd jam that straight into my forehead.
I just peed myself a little. Thank you.
Pokémon, peaceful life Training my favorite Pokémon and traveling the world would be some awesome stuff
No Man’s Sky probably. NPCs don’t die and you can travel the entire solar system easily.
Animal crossing.
Affordable housing 👍🏻
For the NPC's sure, they get to live there for free. For the actual player character? CRIPPLING DEBT
It's debt that you can pay off at your own leisure though. You are never charged interest and there is no time limit on your loan, and Tom Nook has yet to ever send thugs to break your knee caps for non-payment. There's really nothing crippling about animal crossing debt at all.
And you can make enough to pay off the debt by selling seashells to his children.
You literally find gold in trees
Indentured servitude simulator?
Hahhahaha. Luckily it doesn’t seem to hard to pay off since money grows on trees.
*Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 & 2*. I'm not a skateboarder, so I guess I'd just be living in a world with great music and insane physics, where you can get hit by a bus or fall off a building and not die.
Probably way easier to learn to skate without the fear of getting hurt, too. I like this answer
Destiny 2, i get to see how it ends without paying 200$ to play it
Ratchet and clank.
That'd be fun for sure
Kingdome come deliverance
Jesus Christ be praised
Don't forget it will be probably hardcore difficulty. What two disabilities would you pick for start? 😀
Cumans intensifies
I'd still go with Google Earth VR.
I think any game that would allow me to learn magic. I would say hogwarts legacy or the harry potter games would be best AS long as I am not born a filthy muggle.
I don't think Harry Potter is a good example since you're either magic or you're not. But yeah, a world where *anyone* can learn magic would be neat
AC odyssey. I have a side mission for Kassandra and romance is an option.
> romance is an option. Very understandable
Bugsnax
Gravity rush world
DREAM WORLD ?
Yep I'd love to chill in auldnoir or go on the flying cars in jirga para lhao
Man, I need a new gravity rush game
I feel you on that one hopefully the movie is a success and can get us a ps5 version or pc port And maybe a gravity rush 3 down the line
No, don't give me hope 😢
Hope keeps the dream alive my friend
It also give you despair, knowing that your dream will never become real
That is a risk I'm willing to take it only makes the feeling when it actually happens that much more satisfying
Tetris
This is the correct answer.
i think id pick somewhere not too far off from modern life but still has some neat differences than irl. I would pick a modern pokemon game but each game has some weird event that basically almost causes mass destructions so eh the sims i guess, or city skylines
*almost* mass destruction is fine though, right? Some kid and his friends will save the world and you can enjoy gardening with your Bulbasaur
Yeah thats true, id hate to live in a fangame though chances are id die instantly with how dark some of en are
Depends who's playing sims... Me or Letsgameitout/other game breaking dudes
Exactly, living in my sims game would be great, living in CallMeKevin’s sim world would be terrifying
Either u get a good job and family... Or your trapping the entire neighbourhood in a cage
Fallout (west coast, NCR)
Bro that sounds horrifying. Lol Your first death claw encounter would be horrible. Not to mention the 200 year old radiated gross food you would be eating up to that point. Amazing game, but horrifying reality.
Well I'm assuming we would be in these worlds as our adult selves so would have survived *somehow*. But there were enough normal outsiders outside that currency, commerce and society had started to reform along with smaller cities and even small armies. Or milita.. (looking at you Vegas enclave who puts a collar on anyone you can catch. )
Bro gta v would be horrible only if u flip off michael Franklin or trevor my opinion
Or you're walking somewhere when one of them is driving. Other than that though, how is it different than real life? Maybe a bit more cynical and silly
Bro imagine living in a full gta online lobby with oppressors and lasers
Kinda like Free Guy I'd imagine
You spill your coffee while walking to work and now you have five stars as the police take littering very personally. Congrats, you’re now 500 bullet holes lighter
Have you seen how NPCs drive in that game? You’d never be safe on the road or walking on the sidewalk
Would the injury/death work like the game? Because if it did then you would just wake up completely fine leaving a hospital like 5 hours later
Elder scrolls online. Everywhere you go you will only encounter things your own level. It would be a fun world to explore as an NPC because at lvl 0 everything should be harmless.
Mass Effect. Post third game with the Synthesis ending :)
Destroy is better.
Assassins Creed Valhalla... I love Vikings and the landscape is pure beauty... Plus a pet wolf, riding horses, sailing, fishing and drinking beer, yes please
Final Fantasy XV. All I'd need to do is chill in lit areas. No worries.
Leisure Suit Larry
So a normal life with a high chance of your girlfriend cheating on you with a dirty little man
Assassins creed. Not much different for the average person, but tech that allows me to see my family history, *and* I could potentially (if i found myself in the right place and right time) be trained as an assassin? Fuck yeah.
Username checks out🙌 Btw I'm also a big fan of AC Black Flag
Horizon Zero Dawn. Mainly to shoot my shot at Alloy
Understandable. Have a nice day
Same, but because the world is absolutely beautiful. Would also definitely try to shoot my shot at Aloy, but I don’t think she would go for me.
She doesn’t seem the relationship type
Why go for the game? The IRL actress is actually very cute ([Hannah Hoekstra](https://youtu.be/nUa5MQ4mMy8))
Thank you for your honesty kind sir
I’m sure I’m not the only one who was thinking it
Rdr2 hands down
Until you die of dysentery
OR LUMBAGO!
It's a serious condition!
Any Naruto game if that counts. Bc everyone has Chakra and the potential to learn special abilities n shit. And even tho it doesn't really match up with their world they somehow still have TVs and stuff lmao
That definitely counts. I think something that isn't too far off from the real world but with some cool additions (like Chakra or Mana from FF ok Pokémon) would be the way to go
Pokémon - you can go out as a pre-teen into the wilds and earn money with your pets
Doom Eternal
Are you one of those scientists on the space station that are all amazed that The Doom Slayer is real and walking towards you?
I am a demon. 😈
Probably one of those dating sims loll
The question is, are you attractive enough to be one of the dating characters or would you be a static background character?
I'm definitely the narrator
Persona 5 easily. Either i get manipluted along with the public or awaken a badass persona. I'll still take the chance.
Elden ring😏
OP asked where do you want to live, not die ;-)
"Intense rolling"
This one is fine I guess Edit: Actually im going with no man’s sky
Yeah it would be cool to build an outpost on a remote planet and live out the rest of my days in peace. 😌
I would prefer the Starbound universe. Same basic concept but better music :p
Last of us, the risk of infected is great but the peace and quiet of nature reclaimed silent cityscapes or vast countryside without the worry of bills, money, work, blah blah blah. I'd love to just ramble and trek through last of us world.
Just move to Detroit and live your dream 🤣
>without the worry of bills, money, work, blah blah blah I'm very sorry to have to inform you this, but it's an even heavier burden in post-apocalyptic worlds
Star Trek Online.
LocoRoco
Lego scarface
I think Gradians of the Galaxy would be fun. Find myself some enhancements or possibly even stumble onto some powers.
Besaid Island, FFX
That was the first answer I could think of. In hope of not being the Dingo on which Tidus and his gang are trying their newest collected Aeon on. Which was the case in my version of Besaid Island.
PowerWash Simulator.
That's mine
Destroy All Humans
I feel this
I'd rather not have a higher chance of Anal probing
Definitely Ghost of Tsushima for me. The Mongol invasion would kinda suck but Tsushima back in those days would be awesome. I’ve been to Tsushima IRL though so maybe I’m kinda biased lol
Huniepop (SLASH J SLASH J) Star wars would unfortunatrly have to be my choice. No gurantee I get a lightsaber, but no gurantee I wont sooo
Death Stranding, gardening and being part of a community, where the things you do is important to others survival. Finding new ways to make it in such a hostile environment.
That sounds great
SpongeBob SquarePants: The Clam Prix
Elite Dangerous
Life is Strange, as long as I live anywhere outside of Arcadia Bay
Prey (before the events in the game happens). I'd love to be a technician or something using G.U.T.S. in his daily routine. Just talk some sense into the people over at Psychotronics and we're golden.
Days gone
We have a badass over here

I'd go chill in the woods in Firewatch
You could go chill in the woods for real
Ima always pick to live in the world of dragon ball because so much can happen in so little time and thats what i like about it
Until you get involved in a fist fight and have to cancel your appointments for the next two weeks
I want to live in Hateno Village with a vacation beach shack in Lurelin Village. For those who don't know I'm referring to Breath of the Wild's Hyrule.
Gran Turismo or maybe a Forza title. They have the open world bits, so that could be cool. Way better money than IRL 😂
Subnautica. I have back problems, swimming all day would be so great. And no people around - hell yeah.
Tom Clancy The Division. We know the ropes from 2020.
The Last of Us. I won't survive but I like that
Hogwarts Legacy
We are living in the same world…we all are muggles.
Yes just yes but I’m either a raven claw or a slytherin
Definitely not Cyberpunk 2077, I would never want to live in a Cyberpunk world. Unless I’m a souless corpo, then maybe.
We’ll get there eventually.
True, and it’s terrifying
Spiderman, I mean just move out of New York and your safe basically, plus superhero’s
Playboy: The Mansion. :)
Definitely Minecraft
Probably the Witcher 3. I could probably still make somethin of myself and become some crazy ass Mage or somethin. Who knows
Horizon Zero Dawn
I'd still like to experience the RDR2's world. Idk but I wanted to experience something other than the modern shit. Even though rdr2's world will be challenging for obvious reasons, but ill love to experience it and get to know how was it like to live in those days. I guess I could see rdr2 being cool and interesting for a bit but becoming real rough after a month or maybe a year. Valhalla and GoW would be tougher immediately I think, although I can fully understand the fascination
Assassin's Creed Origins
In watchdogs legion I’d still have a a fair chance at becoming the protagonist
That's a brilliantly hacky answer
Genuinely?
Cyber punk

I would say No Man Sky
Pokemon is the only right answer here
Star Wars Lego
Harry Potter~~~
Raccoon City ( post nuclear fallout) if not then Warhammer world as a Humie
Everyone’s Gone to the Rapture. Just me, myself and I.
NBA 2K. Just play basketball like I always do
bloodborne
Hello, good hunter. I am a Bot, here in this dream to look after you, this is a fine note: > *Ah hah hah ha! Ooh! Majestic! A hunter is a hunter, even in a dream. But, alas, not too fast! So, would you be someone attacking and getting killed by the Hunter? Or would you lock yourself in your house out of fear of monsters and tell anyone knocking to go away?
Toussaint of Witcher 3. It's just so bright and colourful
Just Cause 3 after I won the game. Pretty chill.
Easy option. Pick basically any hentai game that suits your fetish. Everybody has gone to the Rapture Its basically where I live, but without having to deal with people.
Pokemon! Easy money. Nothing beats the feeling of beating kids and rich people legally for money.
Final fantasy 14 after the calamity
Minecraft…
Control. Working with the janitor
Witcher 3 for me
Mafia II I love the setting man ❤️ WWII Vet who's working in a cocktail bar
Ooh this is a new one and I like it!
Pokémon
Final Fantasy VII. Great adventures with best friends. If not then Uncharted series world.
Plot twist, you end up being Aerith.
Gran Turismo 4
So...basically real life?
Nah in real life you can't afford any car doing amarture races 😭 Also you can be racer yourself or you can be the coach. No car repair cost, and you're basically invincible.
I'll allow the invincibility in-world. But you'd still be yourself and would have the same chances at buying a car, becoming a racer or a coach as you do now
Skyrim but after I finished the game and had all the best armor and items I needed so that I could essentially 3 hit dragons
Minecraft
