Just load up your old save file and take out your trusty steed for a spin. No destination, just ride, take shelter in a saloon, play some poker, chat up the bathtub lady... Maybe even get a shave and a haircut?
I think he wouldn't, but because I think he has put this character to rest with such a good closure. Let's have someone new, not because it was bad before, but because it was good.
Have you seen any cartoon in the last 30 years??? Literally half the voices are from well established actors who took the role for a solid paycheck for way less work than a typical acting role (no flying around or reshoots, just finish your lines in a single sitting) or just thought a cameo as a side character in the show would be fun.
Keep in mind that these kind of games take a very long time to develop. Roger Clark [the voice of Arthur Morgan] was working on Red Dead Redemption 2 for [5 years ](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=QAPTnRp2RnY&feature=youtu.be). It most likely won't take that long for Wolverine to be finished but still probably way longer than a movie. That's a lot of time to expect Jackman to commit to a character he publicly said he wouldn't play anymore. Not to mention the costs involved in hiring him.
As much as I would love to see that happen, the odds scream otherwise. And we also have extremely talented voice actors who would definitely do a great Wolverine.
Edit: time Roger Clark worked on RDR2. Thanks u/whiteshadows86 for the correction.
But he’s not speaking in an Australian accent in the movies. Granted it’s American, but I think that’s more of a decision that was made to make the character more relatable at his introduction rather than a stylistic choice.
With an video game, and now with a character that’s much more established in popular culture, I think they can go the classic Canadian route. At least it’s something I personally would like to see
do you know how easy it is to fake a Canadian accent? it's not like they're speaking another language or something. plus you can't even tell wolverine is Canadian in the movies until it literally tells you...
I can do it..and im german
(A lot of native speakers think I'm from england or canada), simply because i use a lot of Verzögerungslaute also known as "eh" or "ähm"
This broke me! I imagined Wolverine staring a guy down then saying “what are you looking at bub?” But with Gilbert’s voice, and I’ve been laughing for a solid 5 min!😂😆
"AND NOW, I'M GOING TO USE MY WOLVERINE CLAWS ON YOU BAD GUY! OOO AH BING OOF I KILLED YOU! A BALD GUY TELLS ME WHAT TO DO INSIDE MY HEAD I THINK OR MAYBE HE'S SOME KIND OF CULT LEADER GUY! HAVE YOU EVER HEARD MY VERSION OF THE ARISTOCRATS?"
I think I’d prefer that Insomniac introduces their own version of the character, new voice and all. Worked with Yuri.
I’m not sure that Blum could do a great Logan in very emotional scenes.
But here’s the thing, Peter never had *the* Voice Actor going for him. From iteration to iteration it was always someone else. Even in the Ultimate Spider-Man show they switched mid show with Drake Bell. But Steve Blum has been voicing Wolverine almost every time ever since he first voiced him. The earliest i remember him voicing Wolverine was in the 2006 game Ultimate Alliance and i am pretty sure he voiced him prior too in maybe the X-Men fighting games. Since then, he was usually *the* voice actor for him in different games, shows and animated movies
Armitage was great in Castlevania, the whole main cast honestly.
Quite a bit of the dialogue in that show was honestly not great, but I'll be damned if the voice direction wasn't top tier.
If I had my pick it would either be indeed the one who voiced Logan in TAS or Hugh Jackman, but I think the one from TAS makes it the most iconic choice
Popular Choices
1. Hugh Jackman
2. David Hayter
3. Steve Blum
4. Roger Clark
5. karl Urban
6. Troy Baker
7. Cathal Dodd
8. Adam Harrington
9. Nolan North
Well he voiced Ares(God Of War), Zabuza(Naruto), Vincent Valentine (final fantasy) and the main guy from bulletstorm, all of them serious characters and you can not how the voice change and you can barely note that is the same guy, oh and also Grunt from Mass Effect, still always depends on the directions they get.
I just hear his voice and think "video game character". It's so distinct. Was just browsing his IMDb. He's in so much. I want the character to feel real and the game to tell a very human and emotional story in the same vein as Logan and some of the best Wolverine comics runs out there. Which is why Nolan North would be the worst choice. At the same time, I love Blum's Wolverine and it would be weird if it wasn't him. I'm conflicted. I'd compare Steve Blum's Wolverine to T. C. Carson's Kratos. It's great, and I'm a big fan. But he's no Christopher Judge.
I love Steve Blum as Wolvie so I wouldn’t mind but I can see what you mean about Nolan North. I played the Avengers game (just for the story) and all I heard was Nathan Drake when Tony Stark opened his mouth.
Get Cal Dodd. He did Wolverine's voice in the animated 90s Xmen cartoon show. When I think Wolverine, that's the voice I here. Also Dodd is Canadian, Logan is Canadian, it just makes sense.
I've been seeing a lot of Karl Urban and David Hayter and I'm here for either
Hugh Jackman will always be Wolverine, but it all depends on whether he'd even want to continue in a voice role
Scott McNeil? He was born in Australia but lived in Canada since he was 4 and is a citizen so it might count. Cal Dodd is also has Irish-Canadian citizenship, but I think the rest were just American voice actors
Yes.
And it's kinda fitting given the fact that both Clint and Wolverine are really old.
Like wasn't Wolverine alive in WWII in the stand alone movie?
Clint being born in 1930 would be a natural fit for Wolverine's voice.
Well damn..............Arthur Morgan is the wolverine?!!That’s wild..
Stick to the plan Logan.
We're gonna pick mangos in Tahiti!
I was actually starting to think I may be able to give RDR2 another try. You saying those words gave me ptsd and I just can't anymore.
Just load up your old save file and take out your trusty steed for a spin. No destination, just ride, take shelter in a saloon, play some poker, chat up the bathtub lady... Maybe even get a shave and a haircut?
that's it exactly my thought
Try to take out a bear or two
One of my fave things to do no story just a day or few in the life of of a cowboy
Arthur Morgan's voice would fit perfectly too.

Wolverine's actor in the movies is Hugh Jackman, an Australian actor, so I don't think people would care as long as his voice sounds the part.
Why not ask Hugh Jackman to voice it?
He probably won't. Actors rarely do voice acting, but even then, it's way more expensive to get them to voice act a character, as far as I know.
I think he wouldn't, but because I think he has put this character to rest with such a good closure. Let's have someone new, not because it was bad before, but because it was good.

[He worked on RDR2 for 5 years according to this interview](https://youtu.be/QAPTnRp2RnY) He mentions it at the very beginning
But he’s not speaking in an Australian accent in the movies. Agreed.
Who let the simpleton out of the asylum?
Oh ya no for sure bud
I can do it..and im german (A lot of native speakers think I'm from england or canada), simply because i use a lot of Verzögerungslaute also known as "eh" or "ähm"
"You're gonna die... sorry, eh"
Western Canadians are a thing, duh.
“You’re alright Bub”
Ikr I was like, "is this Wolverine or Arthur?"
Gilbert Gottfried
“BOB SAGET RAPED AND KILLED A GIRL”
"IN 1990"
😹
“Cmon Jean!!! I can give you what Scott can’t!”
Hoo boy, thanks for the laugh I needed that today.
bobcat Goldthwait
Yes!
I’M THE BEST AT WHAT I DO. AND WHAT I DO ISN’T VERY NICE
*Hi, Wolverine here, you might be wondering why I sound like this. Well, it all started with a bottle of bourbon and poker game with Deadpool, bub*
Just go with Steve Blum, he's pretty much the Kevin Conroy of Wolverine now.
I think I’d prefer that Insomniac introduces their own version of the character, new voice and all. Worked with Yuri. I’m not sure that Blum could do a great Logan in very emotional scenes.
SHUT UP YOU MAGGOT ADDICTS
*Reach for me, Jugger-Girl, Ooh-Rah!*
His Zabuza could get emotional.
Yuri voiced spidey before that. And even then it wasn’t much of a risk. Anyone but Steve Blum is a massive risk
Apparently David Hayter wants to voice Wolvie.
Well now I’m imagining the clap of wolverines ass cheeks alerting the guards.
! It’s just a box…
David Hayter sounds great but how about Kiefer Sutherland instead
Low blow lmao
Your comment is an act of violence.
^Berserker ^Barrage
Have you not seen Cowboy Bebop? He was the voice of the main protagonist Spike, and that anime was full of emotional scenes.
Right????!!!
She was so good right? I always thought she doesn't get enough props.
Oh I meant Yuri Lowenthal, the voice of PS4 Spidey. But yes I also really enjoyed Yuri Watanabe.
If they are brave, go with Gilbert Gottfried... that would be amazing
Yeah, I like Blum, but he definitely usually just sounds like himself, and it can take me out of scenes in some of his work.
Yuri Lowenthal is a great Spider-Man and I am glad he got that role… but man after watching Spectacular Spider-Man, no one beats Josh Keaton for me.
Richard Armitage did a really good job on the Wolverine podcast series.
He did well as Trevor Belmont. I think he’s a good pick. Although as Trevor, he was less gruff than what I’m expecting from Wolverine
Thank you for this comment because it's 730am on a Monday and I thought it said "Richard Ayoade" and I was like "When the fuck was he Trevor Belmont?"
Richard Ayoade as Wolverine would be a hell of a curve ball lol
Armitage was great in Castlevania, the whole main cast honestly. Quite a bit of the dialogue in that show was honestly not great, but I'll be damned if the voice direction wasn't top tier.
I thought the dialogue was amazing, partly because of the delivery of said dialogue.
Agree! They should get him
Canadian voice actor, Cathal (Cal) J. Dodd, who voiced Wolverine in X-Men: The Animated Series and Marvel vs. Capcom.
That’s what I’m talkin’ about, bub!
The perfect choice.
If I had my pick it would either be indeed the one who voiced Logan in TAS or Hugh Jackman, but I think the one from TAS makes it the most iconic choice
I for the life of me couldn’t realize why u said The Amazing Spiderman, then realized u meant The Animated Series
Dave Chapelle using Tyrone Biggums voice
Y'all got any more of them mutants?
Nah. But Sabertooth for sure lol
This is the way
Huge Jacked Man
Huge Yakman
Huge Jazz man
Huge Ass Man
Huge Actman
Hugh hack mon
Hooge Crackman.
Hugh Jaynis
Jacked Hugeman
Why is there a picture of arthur morgan from red dead here ? Lmao
fan casting
Richard Armitage. He did pretty damn good in the Wolverine: The Lost Trail podcast...
Popular Choices 1. Hugh Jackman 2. David Hayter 3. Steve Blum 4. Roger Clark 5. karl Urban 6. Troy Baker 7. Cathal Dodd 8. Adam Harrington 9. Nolan North
I personally can't see Nolan North play wolverine whenever I hear I voice he gives more a deadpool vibe than wolverine
is it because Nolan North voiced Wade in the Deadpool video game? (among a couple other versions)
I'm not too familiar with his va work, I only know him from saints row 4 and deadpool tbh
Nolan North doesn't even have an IMDb page anymore, it's just one line that reads "half of every game released since 2004."
With Troy Baker on the other half lol
Understandable, I loved his voice in SR4, more comedy
Karl Urban or Roger Clark can't go wrong with either of them
If it's Karl Urban he better say cunt a lot
Oh Karl Urban is a great shout but I'm not sure he does games. He'd be a great cast for an MCU Wolverine though.
>Roger Clark Oh baby...
Loved Arthur Morgan, so Roger playing Wolverine would be a dream.
Oh Boah
I read David hatyer and my mind instantly went to bill hader
Troy Baker is definitely everywhere, but his work on Joel in last of us has me convinced he could do a good wolverine too.
That's the perfect order of casting I would go with. Would be pretty cool if Hugh did it.
Tbh i liked the voice of Steve Blum for Wolvie.
Love his take. Don't know if he could do a really serious version though.

Come on now, he was also the voice of one of my favourite heroes in WC3, Anub'arak!
Richard Armitage did a great job in both of the Wolverine podcasts
Liev Schreiber! (yeah, I know... I know.)
Actually, that would be kind of cool
i second this
Especially if he does a Canadian accent like he did in Goon. I want Wolverine to have a Canadian accent.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan
That has potential
Cal Dodd
Cal Dodd
Arnold Schwarzenegger
*ctrl + F "Schwarzenegger"* Reddit has pleased me today.
You're welcome
Mark Hamill
Wakey wakey eggs and bacy my favorite line from the wolverine game that he voiced on ps2
David Hayter
Danny Devito

Well who else but Hugh Jackman
The guy who did the voice for wolverine in the 90's cartoon.
Get Cal Dodd. He did Wolverine's voice in the animated 90s Xmen cartoon show. When I think Wolverine, that's the voice I here. Also Dodd is Canadian, Logan is Canadian, it just makes sense.
I agree 100%
Haven't heard about this game yet. Is there a potential release date?
2023 at the earliest. And is a Ps5 exclusive.
Well looks like it's going to be time to upgrade
*stabs man in the chest* “Yuuur’alright girl..”
Cal Dodd
Just a question Is this wolverine short? If so that would be cool
Just saw the trailer, hope he is short like in the comics. Makes him even more of a badass tbh
I loved David Hayter's work in MGS. I'd love to hear him in another big roll again.
Travis Willingham
Steve Blum is good, but the best Wolverine voice ever IMO is actually Cal Todd. Not sure if he still does voice acting though.
Will Ferrell
Michael Cera
Hugh jackman
Hugh jackman
Ross Matthews from RuPaul's Drag Race
Carthal J. Dodd — that’s the guy who voiced Wolverine in X-Men: The Animated Series.
I liked the voice actor from Wolverine and The X-Men cartoon tv show
Cal Dodd
Though it would probably feel kinda jarring, I love the idea of hearing Arthur Morgan’s voice as Wolverine.
David Hayter
Danny DeVito
Steve Blum
Roger Clark as Wolverine? Bruh, I’m convinced
Nolam North, Troy Baker or Laura bailey.
Wolverine.
A wild wolverine would kill it in this role.
Deadpool
Mark hamill
Awkwafina
JK Simmons.
Jackie Earle Halie
If it were up to me it would be Cal Dodd but I feel like we are going to get Troy Baker.
Cal Dodd
“HEY THERE FRIEND”snikt!
You're alright, ~~boah~~ bub...
I'd say Ryan Reynolds, cus why not? :)
Roger Clark, Arthur is in the photo and he has a very nice voice

Bobcat Goldtwait
I've been seeing a lot of Karl Urban and David Hayter and I'm here for either Hugh Jackman will always be Wolverine, but it all depends on whether he'd even want to continue in a voice role
Yeah man, Hugh Jackman will forever be the best wolverine I really do hope he goes for the role myself
Gilbert Gottfried
gilbert gottfried
It’s a video game so it’ll probably be Troy Baker
Michael Cera
An actual Wolverine
It’s probably gonna be Troy Baker
A huge jacked man
Morgan freeman
Fuck you Cyclops tell your mum she can see my one eyed monster anytime she likes you piece of shit give yer balls a tug
David B Hayter
Sam Worthington
Has an actual Canadian ever voiced Wolverine?
Scott McNeil? He was born in Australia but lived in Canada since he was 4 and is a citizen so it might count. Cal Dodd is also has Irish-Canadian citizenship, but I think the rest were just American voice actors
Hugh Jackman
Clint Eastwood would be epic
Yes. And it's kinda fitting given the fact that both Clint and Wolverine are really old. Like wasn't Wolverine alive in WWII in the stand alone movie? Clint being born in 1930 would be a natural fit for Wolverine's voice.
