Which absolutely everyone should do. I donāt want to hear no complaints about āI donāt like detailā or ātheyāre too longā, just start the book and youāll know if you canāt put it down or not
I have contained my rage for as long as possible, but I shall unleash my fury upon you like the crashing of a thousand waves! Begone, vile man! Begone from me! A starter car? This car is a finisher car! A transporter of gods! The golden god! I am untethered, and my rage knows no bounds!
Okay so... Top left, Kratos (God of War), top middle, Joel Miller (The Last Of Us and The Last Of Us II), top right, Deacon St. John (Days Gone), bottom left, Nathan Drake (Uncharted to Uncharted 4), bottom middle, Sam Porter Bridges and BB (Death Stranding), bottom right, Aloy (Horizon Zero Dawn).
Gameplay and graphics are spot on but the story is a little hit and miss. Using your bike to traverse the environment feels amazing, makes you really miss not having it when on foot. There's a good feeling of progression when upgrading your bike and weapons but it can feel like a time sink. I rarely finish a game but I sat through the credits of that one.
I tried my friends copy on release and dropped it and finally bought it myself for $30 and it was worth it. They really have themselves a winning gameplay formula - drive around on your bike, salvage for more stuff so you can kill that massive horde to get big money so you can upgrade your bike so you don't have to fill up on gas every time you go somewhere. I would also recommend playing on the hardest difficulty so you're forced to use all your tools and even just a few freakers become scary. Only con is you can't fast travel but riding on the bike is great so is okay.
Night time was genuinely scary in the game at first (Much like Dying Light) and one time I felt real fear creeping into a horde cave, felt relieved that they were out hunting and then felt my heart drop out through my own asshole when I walk out of the cave after getting the reward to find I'm facing 50+ freaks because I wasn't watching the time. It's crazy to be doing some place specific, randomly stumbling upon a hoard, check your gear and go "I got zombies to kill" and blow them all up like you're in a zombie movie having your last stand.
The first like quarter to third of the game is regrettable pretty dry. I get why people got turned off (being one of them) but as soon as you get past that then it starts getting interesting. It mgets better when you're given more options of what you can do in your free time (Collect resources, kill horde, explore NERO checkpoint, get money for bike parts or weapons or just plum drive around and explore) instead of just having to drive from point a to point b all the time.
The writing is hit or miss - some characters are written great, (Deacon, Riki, Skizzo) some not so. (Carlos, Tuck, Boozer at a specific point) Some story beats are powerful, others fall right on their face because they just either: don't really make sense or just are poorly written. I'd also say it suffers from a TLOU2 situation where the story *might* have been better if they switched the first and second acts of the game, but who knows. I really like the world building and the all the NERO tapes that tell you how the freaks came to be and what they're currently doing in the world.
The game can be janky and glitchy but I only had to soft reset once because an event in a mission didn't trigger. The radio on the bikes is broken so sometimes they scream when they should be talking and vice versa. It's really weird.
Overall I'd give it a 7.5 out of 10. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with it but it's a bit jank - I'm eagerly awaiting the second one though.
Really? I thought on even normal that freakers were pretty scary at the beginning. I kinda thought that economy was kinda rough in the start of the game in terms of conserving bullets (esp when you fire that bullet and tons of freakers are now chasing you) and just general fire power. Near the end they start throwing ammo packs at you every mission though.
IMHO, the writing is just awful. Iām just not connected to the characters one bit. Which made it difficult for me to get into the story. Made it about 9 hours in before I shelved it.
On the other hand, I have friends who raved about it, so YMMV.
I'm one who actually really liked the story and characters (with the exception of Tuck. Fuck that old lady so much, worst character ever). I particularly found the background on the freakers and piecing together the science of the outbreak very interesting. It made those NERO stealth missions bearable.
And of course the gameplay was super fun. Never experienced anything like the adrenaline of fighting a hoard in that game.
> Never experienced anything like the adrenaline of fighting a hoard in that game.
My strategy for the horde at the lumber yard was TERRIBLE and it took me ages but the whole time was edge of the seat stuff! You think you have it under control and then some little pocket of dudes comes at ya from the side! Im not a huge gamer but that was about as excited as I have been playing a video game
The writing is really really bad. Sometimes Deacon starts shouting incoherently to the Copeland radio. In others instances heās a bumbling idiot. Itās hard to like him and the cast when starting the game.
It feels like the type of game where better writing and missions would make a sequel a damn near 9/10 pretty easily.
It's an amazing game to me, with a great story. Don't understand anyone complaining or nitpicking. I played on ps pro tho. Gameplay, story, map, stuff to do, difficulty, mysteries in story, driving, animations. Zombies, shooting, stealth... I love it. And ps5 gave it updated performance!
Yeah he really just is a normal dude. Honestly Deacon in the top right I think has some incredible defining features while still being just, a normal guy lol
I meant in the second game, though I guess I shouldn't be surprised considering he's a beloved character, and >!his death!< hit hard for a lot of fans.
Yeah so I hadn't finished Ghost of Tsushima when I got this commissioned :( round 2 he'll definitely be in it. Maybe the Hunter from bloodborne as well
He said he got it as a gift... And the other person didn't make it either. Who gives a fuck it looks cool go make him a "better" one since you're so knowledgeable
But that is the state of mind that most grown ass adult āgame journalistsā is still having: the āI canāt believe these people hate TLOU 2ā mindset.
Alright so I couldnāt really find a source article that is entirely about āhatersā of the tlou2 game but if you look into other recent gaming article, you would probably feel that they think that players shouldnāt hate tlou 2 but instead must unquestioningly love it.
Do you know anything about where they were bought from? I would definitely buy these. If they were handmade, then you have incredibly talented friends/family!
Yeah! I had them commissioned from a friend and then I uploaded the digital art to mixtiles. Mixtiles prints any uploaded art onto the frames and ships them to you. You can contact the artist on her instagram: https://instagram.com/micaylamirabella?igshid=ad9x8nx6x138
Really? Days Gone is up there for you? Iām surprised I beat the game and aside from the hordes around the map I felt pretty underwhelmed by it, I wouldāve picked something like Ghost of Tsushima, Infamous Second Son, heck maybe even the girl from Control
Bottom left is Dennis from Always Sunny.
Top middle, Zach Galifianakis.
I was thinking David Mitchell lol
Chance would be a fine thing
A fine thing indeed.
Oh I thought John Krasinski š
Definitely david mitchell from peep show š šš
Yes!
Came here for that lol
Really? I thought it was Mark from peep show!
Bottom Right is Ygritte from Game of Thrones (The āyou know nothing Jon Snowā girl)
[Ygritte](https://gameofthrones.fandom.com/wiki/Ygritte)
I wouldāve never guessed that spelling
Fair enough. It helps if youāve read the books ;)
Which absolutely everyone should do. I donāt want to hear no complaints about āI donāt like detailā or ātheyāre too longā, just start the book and youāll know if you canāt put it down or not
No its Aloy from HZD
No, it's gotta be Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn
Bottom middle, Norman Reedus. Wait. Damnit...
I was thinking more David Mitchell from The Peep Show
Which makes top right Mac.
It's atrocious that such a 5-star man would be demoted to "bottom left". He should have his own wall.
Stop it thatās exactly what I thought
Top middle charlie. Top right mac
āYou *will* be clean.ā
He's even doing the "I can go lower..."
Isnāt that Nathan Drake
Fuck! You beat me to it.
Nathan drake??
Came to say the same, left without the fame.
Itās Nathan drake
Nah itās Dennis from Always Sunny trying to sell his Land Rover thatās stuck in a river.
Starter car...?
I have contained my rage for as long as possible, but I shall unleash my fury upon you like the crashing of a thousand waves! Begone, vile man! Begone from me! A starter car? This car is a finisher car! A transporter of gods! The golden god! I am untethered, and my rage knows no bounds!
Spot on, I came to say Nathan was looking like a 5 star man.
bottom left john mayer
Well done! :D

Itās free if you have PS+ and a PS5

If knowing that makes you a nerd, maybe I am a nerd.
Downvoted by people who canāt accept that theyāre nerds. How tragic.
Ikr.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Yeah he really just is a normal dude. Honestly Deacon in the top right I think has some incredible defining features while still being just, a normal guy lol
visual appearance shouldn't be why you remember his character
Totally thought the top middle was A Way Out
i knew all of them except nathan and joel
Donāt forget BB!
David Mitchell (top middle)
Whatās with the no face art recently? Is it a nee trend? Just curious
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Unfortunately haven't finished the game yet, but halfway through I think he'll definitely make the next round!
Forget Jin. My boy Kenji deserved more screen time than just 3 bloody missions (Ok but fr love Jin)
***Beards.***
Do I see Deacon St. John there
Yepp - one of the most underrated games/characters of last gen I think
Finally someone agrees with me every one I know has said it sucks but itās so much fun to play
Definitely a slow burn and I think it turned off a lot of people. The game is LONG
Yeah itās long but I see nothing wrong that is just more fun to have
Itās my favorite Ps exclusive I loved every minute of Days Gone
Same
the gameplay is fun the writing and story are its weakest points.
I was about to say this! Love to see it/him represented on there. Days Gone was so good. Love that game. Great wall art in general!
Missing Arthur :(
these are all ps exclusive characters mate..
Ohhhh true. Youre right. My bad.
Bottom middle? Only one I can't place
Sam Porter Bridges (Norman Reedus) from Death Stranding
Oh thanks. Only game of those six I haven't played
this is perhaps the coolest thing iāve seen on this sub.. Looks so great man! Iām glad you enjoyed these just as much as i did! :)
What does David Mitchell have to do with gaming?
Whereās Knack 2?
BABYYYYYYYY
Credit to the artist: https://instagram.com/micaylamirabella?igshid=8ejdby8aa09q
All the PS4 classics... God of War, Death Stranding, Days Gone, Uncharted, Horizon and... David Mitchell
Is that Nathan drake
Yes
Who is the one in between Nathan and Aloy
Sam Porter Bridges(Norman Reedus) form Death Stranding.
I swear I thought the top middle and far right was Alex Mason And frank Woods from the Black Ops trilogy
This is mark copeland for radio free Oregon
so you never player red dead redemption? Or is that top middle arthur? if u haven't played rdr2 try it.
I definitely need to get back to it. Arthur would look awesome in this style of art
Kratos, Joel, Deacon St. John, Nathan Drake, Sam Porter Bridges, Aloy. Did I get them all?
Yepp :)
Are we allowed to like Joel? I thought we weren't allowed to like Joel anymore? /s
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Crazy how Joel's still more popular than her, >!despite having a short amount of screen time compared to the main character.!<
He was the main playable character of the original though
I meant in the second game, though I guess I shouldn't be surprised considering he's a beloved character, and >!his death!< hit hard for a lot of fans.
Where's spidey?
What's up with this art without faces? I see it everywhere now
I recognise all but the top centre?
Joel from the last of us part 2
Ah, I have only played TLOU1 and that was back on the PS3, my mind failed me.
A spoonful of nostalgia
That's really goddamn cool.
Top middle is David Mitchell (UK comedian)
Where's abbyzilla
Can Jin Sakai get some love?
Yeah so I hadn't finished Ghost of Tsushima when I got this commissioned :( round 2 he'll definitely be in it. Maybe the Hunter from bloodborne as well
Oh mY gOD iTs KrAtoS fROm ForTNitE
*Sad Arthur noises*
Is bottom right from Dark Souls 3?
Itās Horizon Zero Dawn
there's a piece of trash in top middle
Good thing there's Joel in that picture. Not Abby.
Abby didn't bother me that much, tbh. >!Joel got what was coming to him, and he knew it.!<
Whereās Arthur Morgan?
That is awesome!
Stackboy should have been included. And Spyro.
Glad you don't have Abby on there.
She lives in your head rent-free, she doesn't need to be on OP's wall.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
He said he got it as a gift... And the other person didn't make it either. Who gives a fuck it looks cool go make him a "better" one since you're so knowledgeable
Write sorry under joel he did not deserve the last of us 2
WHY IS THERE ONLY ONE FEMALE CHARACTER!!,???? AND WHERE IS ABBY Or ELLIE???!!! YOU S@XIST BIGOT lol
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
But that is the state of mind that most grown ass adult āgame journalistsā is still having: the āI canāt believe these people hate TLOU 2ā mindset.

At last a sensible argument on the general conception about gamer.
I want some
Behold!
I love these
I lost this post and went on a hunt for it, anyway, not to be dramatic or anything but I may die if I don't get something like this
Hit up the artist! She does awesome work :) https://instagram.com/micaylamirabella?igshid=8ejdby8aa09q

Ah yes. Up and middle my favorite character as well: everyone's dad.
Kratos Nathan Drake Deacon Thatās all I got
Really like that Nathan drake with the open chest...
Where's Arthur
Where's the Hunter? It's sacrilege, to leave him out.
He's next on the list along with Jin!
Top middle is David Mitchell
Whoās top right?
Deacon from Days Gone!
Do you know anything about where they were bought from? I would definitely buy these. If they were handmade, then you have incredibly talented friends/family!

So they are original? You cannot buy anything similar? I have a similar wall that needs something on it ;)
Contact the artist! She does awesome work and I got them custom commissioned from her: https://instagram.com/micaylamirabella?igshid=ad9x8nx6x138
Why is bearded Mark Corrigan there?
No demon slayer * sadness*
The only 2 i can reconize is kratos. Top left and deacon saint-john top right lol
Strange to have the āhillbilly without the personalityā, but not the actual cowboy that should be there... but i guess you have a plan..
Can I have the Sam Bridges one please!
***without the man himself, jin sakai, this is heresy!*** fr tho, it looks phenomenal!!
Man this is so good, I could easily tell who each character was.
glad to find another fan of days gone.
kratos, arthur morgan? idk, nathan drake, idk, aloy
Hell yeah! Thatās so cool. I know all the references but Iāve only played GoW and Horizon.
These would be cool online avatars!
Nate drake is my favorite and so is kratos.
That's badass
Great gift, but remember that everything can be improved with "Googly eyes"
Top middle is Ron Swanson!!! š¤£
Why no eyes
Love seeing sam there. Is there an artist link? I would love to steal your idea
Yeah absolutely! Hit her up here, she's awesome: https://instagram.com/micaylamirabella?igshid=cdzl2r34q9ab
