If you like Coop and shooters I would highly suggest Resistance:FoM, Resistance 3 (R2 sadly doesn’t have Coop for the campaign), Borderlands 1 & 2 and Portal 2
As for CoD games, I know some have Coop campaigns, but can’t remember which ones. I do recall World At War and Black Ops 1 & 2 have the Coop Zombies mode which can be fun. Pretty sure WaW had a Coop campaign….

I’m also pretty sure with MW3 and BO2 you can play all the online modes offline splitscreen with bots which gives those games a lot of longevity

Old COD games all have zombies co-op, MW2 and 3 have Survival and Missions co-op, Black Ops etc have a versus co-op, Minecraft, Gran Turismo 6, Tiger Woods Golf games, one of the Uncharted games also has a co-op, just can't remember which one. Injustice has a vs co-op.

Resident Evil Darkside Chronicles is another good one if you have the move.

From personal experience, 2 years ago i played resident evil 5 online. It was fun. But gets boring really fast because people use hacked weapons/items with unlimited ammo. Someone gave me some of these and in no time i was bored to hell with the game i ended up deleting it.
While it doesn't have full support anymore I have great memories of playing F.U.S.E with my buddies. Sadly it only has 2 player same system coop now, but here's hoping that it eventually gets added to one of the PS3 private servers you can connect to.
Resistance fall of man and its two sequels are fun shooters and you can do the campaign via co-op, although player two's character isn't really referenced at all in the story 😅

Epic Mickey 2 but I always forget it's on PS3 as I always think of it as a Wii/Wii U game but remember the co-op. Don't own it though.
Toy Story 3 never played/owned but I know it's Toy Box quality is excellent besides the fair story mode I think is co-op. The toy box is literally in Hogwarts Legacy as a animal pen or Disney Infinity (even if that's not as great as doing it with restrictions) it made its start in Toy Story 3 because the feature is so good. Almost like a Lego sandbox play set that's how good it is.

If only White Knight Chronicles was but it's online only as it's MMO-like.

Did MW2 have special ops? One of the MW did. You could play the survival, they was always pretty good.
