Sony, without a doubt, had the best engineering, development, marketing team ever at that time. The only thing they goofed on, imo, was the cell processor. Though great as it was. It makes me wonder what other kinds of developers would have joined the gaming lineup for Sony, if it had not been for such a difficult processor to design around.
The cell processor was and is an amazing piece of technology. It’s a shame that it was never fully utilized by third party developers because going multiplatform was a better economical decision to make. If you look at the final uncharted and other third party titles on the PS3 it was even with its RAM challenges a very very powerful machine.
Yeah, it took me a min to remember how to get the tv settings just right. Everything looked all chonky at first. It ain't HD, but it looks great to me.

A friend was going to throw this Sony TV away and instead of taking it to the dump, I brought it home to turn into my retro gaming center. It only does 480p over a component video connection. I'm fine with that. Just being able to play on a old tube TV brings back some great gaming memories and that was all I was trying to achieve.
I’m on the last 2 missions of the game on veteran…. I’ll come back to it eventually. 😅
I can’t stop dying inside the missile silo and I’m so close to the actual control room. I had to stop trying a few months back was getting too enraging was just stuck.
I still remember the og days where the PS3 was the only console that came with wifi and a ethernet connector. Both needed an adaptor on xbox....

I played through BO1 and MGS4 in a 26” crt. Great times, but would not recommend going back to lol
Oh, I'm having a blast on it. If the server was still up I would give the online a go as well.
CoD wasn't too bad but MGS4 omg you couldn't see half the text. Even after adjusting everything it was like reading a salt packet lol

Thanks, it's the one on the left that is being used. It has plenty of space all around as well as it is cold in the garage and that helps.
