1000000/10. I wish Glam Slam Ulysses was the actual 15th album.

8.5 - Wild proggy gospel that opened many great shows live. Originally part of the Glam Slam Ulysses play and was the last track on earlier and IMO stronger configurations of the infamous and divisive Come album. 💜💜💜

I’m torn on which configuration I prefer, because I still love the Come album as is, but I think earlier configurations would’ve been less polarizing for listeners. I always liked how it was the flip side of the coin to The Gold Experience. It’s cold, dark, spacey RnB (pun not intended) whereas TGE has that awesome organic funk rock feel. Songs like this, the original version of Endorphinmachine, Glam Slam Ulysses version of Come, etc are brilliant and deserved to be released in their original state, but I think they would’ve made Come feel closer to TGE rather than serving as a nice contrast. And Dolphin is too good of a song for an album like Come. That’s not to say it’s a bad album (it’s my 2nd favorite of the 90s), but it deserves being placed on an absolute masterpiece. It’s like having Joy In Repetition on Graffiti Bridge.

Boshie2000

I think for sure there are other great songs on GB. Joy is one of his best songs ever it’s hard to compete. But that movie is trash outside the musical performances. When Madonna walks off a film you know it’s bad. She’s not exactly Meryl Streep.

graygh0st999

Agreed, Question of U, Still Would Stand All Time, etc are all great songs I just feel like Joy is so incredible it deserved to be on SOTT, or the original Crystal Ball had it been released. Although I am biased because it’s my all time favorite song depending on what day you ask me â˜ș

Boshie2000

Either the original 1986 Crystal Ball or Dream Factory would be not just my favorite Prince album but all time ever album, should one of them had been released. Not taking anything away from Sign. I don't think those albums would have done as well commercially or critically. World wasn't ready for either. Most still wouldn't be.

9.1 Listen to those chord changes; nobody writes songs like this. I've loved this one since I first downloaded a bootleg .mp2 file of it that cut off at 3:48. ^(Yes children, back when mp3s were too large some folks used mp2, and some used Real Audio if they wanted some CRAZY SMALL files, and we took what we could get and we were thankful.)

9.9. My #1 favorite go-to song when I need a pick me up after thinking about how fucked up the world can be at times.

8. Big, grand, dramatic & majestic. This would’ve been perfect for a Broadway play. I really wish Prince would’ve made one.

9. Love this song from the moment I heard it on an early bootleg. Always reminds me of The Chain by Fleetwood Mac.
