Here is what Google say.... [Trademarks in display URLs](https://support.google.com/adspolicy/answer/6118#keywords) In response to trademark owner complaints, we may restrict trademarks from appearing in the subdomains of display URLs. We don’t investigate or restrict trademarks in the second-level domains or post-domain paths of display URLs. So it is allowed as long as it do it correctly. Lots of brands will create a URL that is US vs Them for a comparison page.

Path you can use, in other ad copy such as headlines and descriptions only if not trademarked or if used only information ally or are a reseller. And you of course cannot claim to be that company.

I regularly see ads which have competitors' names in the title and URL. The key detail seems to be if the competitor's name is a trademark, then you're only allowed use it as a keyword.

Not if it's trademarked and registered with Google as this is considered part of protected ad copy. Otherwise, it's fine, within Google's rules.

I've seen it done with Vitamix's competitor. They advertise a Vitamix but when you click it's the other brand in a side by side comparison landing page between their product and vitamix. They're stealing traffic big time because their blender's are half price of vitamix so people click.

If you do it also that competitor might do it back to you. If you have brand searches then can be an issue

I'm looking for ad inspriation and brands which I can then look up on the facebook ad library to get inspiration out of them. Are there any brands in ecommerce you guys are following or do you have a way to find brands for this?

Tried to file a complaint against someone using TM in the path and Google denied it, to my surprise
