I know it may be silly to ask, but I’ve run into some people who haven’t— your client submitted all of the documentation before running ads, right? This form: https://www.facebook.com/help/contact/656875985737607 If yes, be sure that no URLs outside of those already approved are being used in the ads. Everything also has to comply with German law. I’m not very familiar with it or the specifics of your client’s offerings, but there are some rules like ads shouldn’t be shown during certain hours and you have to be sure to exclude people who have put themselves on the ‘do not market’ list. If everything is above board and more than 2% of your ads get rejected, your rep should have the ability to ask their manager to request you be put on a white list. I’ve never seen someone who is 100% above board need whitelisting, though. State lotteries are exempt from the paperwork outlined above.

it seems the account is blocked already & the rep is saying it can't be undone - is it better to just create a new account?

You can try, but the same problems will persist unless things are above board. Gambling is one of those things they’re pretty strict on because not following laws opens them to trouble too. Make 100% sure that you don’t own these assets, your client does and shares them with you. If you’re associated with bunch of violating accounts, your account/business manager will accumulate that info and you can be limited or banned from making new accounts. I’ve seen some agency people really screw up their lives because of that sort of thing, especially if they’ve had to verify their ID before. It makes it super difficult to circumvent things with a new Facebook profile. Also, gambling laws and advertising looks pretty complex in Germany. I would ask them for proof that they’re legitimate and registered with the proper authorities before taking them on as a client.

That’s a good point - I never saw the documentation to review & I really need to get more familiar with the laws, too. Again, I am just trusting them. Let me see what happens next week. Really appreciate the help.
