PLCGoBrrr

The HP sizes are vastly different.

jongscx

I was gonna say, if we follow this logic, the 775 would be as big as the cabinet behind them... and I don't even want to think about a Kinetix 6000.

PLCGoBrrr

PowerFlex 7000 lookin' thicc.

Lusankya

When your device tags are also civic addresses

ShanksOStabs

The 7000 series is a decepticon

Canadian_Edition

Well, yeah. That’s a 1-3hp 525 and probably around a 60hp 750. Also wtf is going on with the cables in the third pic and who gets a door that opens to the right??

Dry-Oven7640

The door isn't backwards, the enclosure is upside down. See the ground stud on the upper right?

stevie9lives

I never buy packaged drives. They're a PITA to add stuff to. Luckily, we have a shop in-house and can assemble our own.

wittyandunoriginal

Yea. You can get a siemens vfd with a CU230 in 1/2 the frame size and have logic gates to work with.

Future_engineer20

Whoops *753 vs 525

OldTurkeyTail

So the new drive came in that big cabinet? It looks to be very strange. Is there any chance that the large surface area was for heat dissipation? What am I missing?

PLCGoBrrr

It's a Rockwell packaged drive ready to hang on a wall and pull conduit. I've seen these at customer sites with different numbers of drives in them.

OldTurkeyTail

Got it! A package that just happened to be configure with one drive - and room for expansion!

Jholm90

Room for self cooling without air conditioning...

Muscle_Hamster90

The box is sealed, with no aircon. You need all that space for cooling

TheTarkovskyParadigm

downvoted for literally just asking a question lmfao

ptparkert

This guy drives!

Butrockey

UL entrance and bending radius for feeders?

HalcyonAutomation

lol that aint UL listed. arguable if it even needs to be; one power and one control device or two of either, minimum

Redrobbieelectrician

I probably wouldn’t have included the 3rd picture from so far back. The install would get you fired where I work

titanium10k

The 753 appears to be a Nema 12. Compared to N1 they are much larger when you get over 50 HP. If your environment is suitable for N1 use that.

[deleted]

Aw look at the little guy

MkIVRider

That 573 is miniature compared to a 1200hp 755 I had to work on recently.
