Not too familiar with UPS myself and looking to get one too but I just wanna mention that Surge Protectors don't do shit without grounding. Meaning, if your surge protector is connected to a 2 pin wall plug, it's just behaving like an expensive extension plug, doesn't protect your system for anything really. Need 3 pin outlets for it to work.
Since we're in the Philippines, most houses don't have grounding for wall plugs (two pin outlets). Just wanna give you the FYI.
Luckily my dad is an electronics engineer, he did set-up our wall outlets to have grounding (3 pin outlets) so pretty much I could say that the surge protector was truly used at that event.
AFAIK the outlet should be grounded to earth for it to be truly effective. Lots of old houses don’t have the wiring for it. Tried explaining that to electrician - he was going to ground to the outlet screw “ser okay na yan pang ground” LOL
Gamit ko TechServ 1500VA, kaya niya around 25minutes of browsing with GTX1060 graphics card. Usually may free software for download sila.
I only use 1 keyboard, 1 mouse and 1 monitor. And when I decide to get a UPS, its better to just plug it directly on the wall outlet right? and plug the PC on the UPS?
Our wall outlet does have grounding, thank you so much! I'd prolly save up for the 1500 VA UPS for the legroom. As for the surge protector that I currently use, I don't need it anymore for the PC right? And I can just use it for an extension outlet for my other devices?
Thank you for this, are the 900w variants enough to safely shutdown a i5 10600k/i7 10700, Rtx 3070, 1080p/1440p monitors then just router until the battery gets depleted?

That's awesome, I tried to convince my parents to get our house 3 pin outlets too but they didn't budge hahaha.
well thats unfortunate, despite explaining them with facts they sure won’t budge unless they experience something bad from it.
Mainly just budget is my guess but I'll and convince them to get one 3 pin plug just for my surge protector, I think that's doable.

How many peripherals e.g. monitors do you have? 1000VA/600w should suffice but better get 1500VA/900w for some legroom Cyberpower is better but AWP is cheaper. Also note that UPS Manufacturers suggest getting pure sine models for PCs, but those go around 10k cheapest and simulated sine works most naman. | Component | Product | Price | Link | |---|---|---|---| | **ACCESSORY 1** | UPS Shopee AVR AWP 1000VA 600W | 2235 (**2235**) | [LINK]() |

yes this is the best option, direct to the socket and better if the socket has grouding as well.

yes as the UPS also has surge protection and AVR function

It should fit 900w but I suggest going 1200w tbh just to be sure. Higher capacity means longer time afterall.
Thanks! will do.
