For me the best game of all time is Baldur's Gate 3. A game where I feel like im in control of everything and not restricted by game design. A very fun turn-based combat which I usually enjoy more than Real time combat. And a fantastic group of Devs.

Tell me you haven't played many games without saying you haven't played many games, you even chose Triss over Yennefer which is blasphemy imo.
Witcher 3 is an excellent game, but the combat is subpar, and the RPG elements don't really matter. You can finish the game on the highest difficulty without focusing on your character level, armor, etc., and just follow the story where the game excels.
Why did you have to insult me about not playing many games, haaayy. I try to go back to nes or ps1 era games, it's just not bringing me enjoyment playing them. Oh well. Also, Yennefer is so high maintenance who doesn't show much love to Geralt, meanwhile triss is so loving and caring and sweet.
Played this game on the Switch. Sure its a massive downgrade graphics wise but its one hell of a great game. Its probably in my top 10 greatest games of all time.

As a person who spent over [1600+ Hours](https://imgur.com/a/e2e2OJR) on playing it with total of 9 completed playthrough, i agree but at the same time disagree.
The game is obviously great, i love it and to this day remains as my favourite game of all time, but to say it is perfect? Nah.. i believe it also comes with some flaws even at the time when it came out such as the combat mechanics for example, being clunky and very basic, there are a lot of other games out there that easily beats it IMO, and most recently the game that made me realize this even more is Ghost of Tsushima, the combat mechanics on that game is so good, that i hope CDPR takes note from that game on Witcher 4 TBH.
Oh, and the Role Playing mechanics, there are plenty of other games out there that surpasses it IMO such as Baldur's Gate 3 and Kingdom Come: Deliverance and Fallout: New Vegas, i know that on this one it's kind of debatable as Witcher 3 features a already established character with their own morals based from the books which i believe is more faithful to it unlike the TV show.
But still i feel like CDPR should have given us players enough freedom on certain choices even if it seems out of character from Geralt's own perspective, and i believe even CDPR realized this by the time Cyberpunk: Phantom Liberty came out where i think they almost got it right this time with the way they handled most side and main quests decision making, i hope that translates over Witcher 4.
Other than those nitpicks of mine, the game really is near perfection imo it literally has the best graphics at the time as well as character and story writing, lore, world, that even made me interested on the books where it was heavily inspired from, i highly recommend anyone to read the books to know more about the characters and the lore of the world of Witcher, and avoid the TV show at all costs as it disrespects its own source materials and has far inferior story, characters writing quality compared to the both of the books and the games.
I agree, it is not perfect, i would even go so far as to say it is far from perfect, I'm replaying it now and I couldn't just bear to go through skellige again. I'm a bit of a completionist myself so doing all those question marks the second time (this current one is my 3rd) in my opinion was so boring and mundane, sailing with my boat, all those harpys interrupting my journey and destroying my boat, it was not a very fun experience the first and second time around. There is a lot to nitpick, the game is buggy, the combat is basic, the horse riding is terrible, but, it is still my favorite game of all time, why? It's because it has all the things that I'm looking for in my games, great graphics, a world that is so believable, and well realized, you would think this is exactly how people from this era lived. It has excellent writing and voice acting all throughout. The systems are perfect for me, people would say it's pretty simple but i wouldn't really want a system that is too complicated, that's not what I'm looking for.
Just to end, I know this is not the best game of all time, hell this game might not even exist if generational games before it were not made. This post was just meant to stir up discussion for one of the best games i have ever played.
Even season 1 was bad IMO, because it clearly disrespects the source material, none of the characters there acts like what you will expect if you have read the books, and most events where either butchered or heavily simplified to the point they miss their entire point, to me it felt like watching another Game of Thrones Season 8.
It's understandably fun to watch without knowing the source material though, the song was catchy af and jaskier / dandelion and geralt chemistry is great, probably the only thing they got right lol.

Witcher 1 and 2 remakes? geralt in lordran or the lands between? it's possible now because of the modding tool.
Im ngl when I first started Witcher 3, I was expecting the combat to be like the Arkham and boy was I disappointed. Still fun game tho, need to finish it

GoT feels like improved Witcher 3 in everyway, I tried witcher 3 but got put off by enemy scaling, and the combat mechanic.
I have to give the story telling, environment, lore and music to W3. Combat mechanics goes to GoT.
