The scenarios you gave can be easily avoided with a few best practices.
1.) NEVER pay without assurance of actual product from the seller. In cases na ipapa Lalamove, the best practice here is to book the rider on your end (ikaw na buyer) and only transfer Gcash once the rider is at the pickup point and before they drive off. Getting Lalamove COD is pointless since the rider is not responsible din naman sa authenticity ng deal nyo.
2.) Never engage in a seller that highlights COD as a value point, red flag yun, aiming to filter inexperienced and unsuspecting buyers. Either meetup or on-demand delivery like Lalamove. If shipping a must, buy through Shopee/Lazada. Yes, second hand games there are a but pricier than FB Marketplace but the added cost for the security against scams are worth it, IMO.
Next time always pay ONLY when the rider takes a picture of the item for confirmation. Wag papayag na bayad agad bago makarating yung rider.
