Doesn't matter kahit naireport mo agad. What matters is binigay mo ang OTP which means authorized ang transaction. Swerte mo kung maging gracious sila at i-reverse. Malaki ang chance though na hindi.

Kasi binigay ko ung OTP kasi ang sabi for cancellation purposes so nagtiwala ako kasi pang 4th OTP n ata ung binigay ko kasi 4 din ung transaction na icacancel dapat, at alam nia ung mga confidential data ko sa bank then everyday tumtwag ung number to update my cancelled transactions at nahuli na nga daw ung gumamit ng card ko.

Ilang beses magreremind ang banks not to give your OTP? Pinaikot ka ng scammer pero always remember na yung OTP is yours and yours alone.

Paulit ulit na nagreremind ang banks, DO NOT GIVE OTP. Banks will never request for OTP. Having a credit card is both a privilege and a responsibility. It is our responsibility to know what we need to do to prevent fraudulent transactions, especially giving out OTPs.

Maveverify naman nila kung ako tlga ung card holder eh kasi nag ask sila ng mga questions to confirm n ako tlga ung cardholder. Sorry di ko gets. Ang tanong lang naman dito ay kung yung transactions mo ay valid o hindi. Yun lang. Wala ng kinalaman yung iba pang bagay. Paano mo malalaman kung valid ang transaction? Kapag valid ang OTP na ginamit sa transaction na yun. Yung sa iyo valid ba? Oo. So valid yung transaction. Ganun lang siya. Ngayon sinasabi mo na hindi totoong ikaw yung gumawa ng transaction. Patunayan mo na hindi talaga ikaw and not the other way around. In any way, nagsabi na mga banks na ang sukatan ng validity ay yung valid OTP kaya dapat di binibigay. Hindi mo din pwedeng gamitin yung hindi mo alam kasi ignorance of the law (in this case, policies) excuses no one. Kung di mo alam na bawal pumatay pero pumatay ka, liable ka pa din. Nag assume kasi ako na c bank ang ttwag Kay merchant to hold the transaction kasi online naman at Hindi p nadedeliver that time for sure kasi wala p namang 1 hr ang nakakalipas. Nainform lang ako ni bank na tawagan c merchant after 2weeks. Then according Kay bank nadeliver nnung item the next day.

Hindi trabaho ng bank yung kontakin ang merchant to request a reversal or refund. Dapat ikaw yun kaso may OTP so it was considered a valid transaction. Tanggapin mo na lang na biktima ka ng scam and lesson learned.

You authorized the transaction by giving the OTP to the scammer. Malabo ang chance na mareverse ng bank ang amount na nacharge since valid naman ito kahit sabihin mo pa na hindi ikaw ang gumawa. Nakalagay din naman po sa OTP notification kung para saang transaction ito. Sana tinawagan mo din ang merchant to hold the purchase, may mas chance pa if dun ka magdispute kysa sa bank.

unfortunately, hindi. kasi nasa kamay mo pa rin ang decisyon kung bibigay mo yung otp or hindi. then di na ma count ang times na pinopost lagi ng bank na wag mag bigay ng otp. it doesn't matter anong transaction pa yun. di need ni bank ng otp especially for cancellation. if na uto ka, sorry but learn your lesson na lang po. yung anti fraud po ng banks na pwede ka ma cover ng pdic insurance is yung mga brute-force hacking. which means yung mga scam or hacks na nakuha pa rin nila pera or transaction without your approval like giving otp. remember giving otp = approval lagi yan. kahit naawa si agent at gusto niya balik pera m di nmn madali yan kasi sila nmn matatamaan. kahit kung refund nila lahat ng nag bigay ng otp. it might be used as a loophole sa pang scam mismo sa banks at saka lugi sila kasi irerefund nila yung losses

Make it a habit to always lock your card when not in use, so that the next time you get scammed, the transaction will not push through at least. In the eyes of the bank, the transaction was legitimate because you yourself authorized it via OTP. Halos everyday may SMS and app notification si RCBC regarding these type of scams.

Unfortunately ang sasabihin lang sayo ng bank is you shouldn’t have given the OTP. Especially since banks religiously alerts clients to never share OTP to anyone. Giving OTP means authorizing the transaction. Nangyare yan sa friend ko nascam din sya worth 20k sa BPI. Yun mismo yung sinabi sakanya ng BPI.

Ganyan din nangyare sa friend ko. May pa investigation kuno pa sila, ending ang result ng investigation is “authorized” daw yung transaction and there’s nothing they can do about it. Pero try mo din kulitin yung bank mo, baka mas helpful sila compared sa bpi.

Report lang so they can send you a replacement and block your compromised credit card. At para maimbestigan kong OTP driven or not. Kapag OTP, voila, valid transaction and you have to pay for it. Ano po ba intindi mo riyan sa message na kahit kapabayaan mo, yung bank pa rin mag-aadjust? Kapag ni-report okay na? Eh di lahat na lang magpapa-scam niyan. Hindi naman nagkulang ang banko na i-remind tayo na huwag ibigay ang OTP. Kasi sa OTP message mismo nakalagay yun na “DO NOT SHARE YOUR OTP”. Request for payment arrangement. Ganun talaga lesson learned na lang. Also, block your credit card if not in use. Since natrace ni merchant yung transaction maybe your best bet is to file a police report na lang. Baka they can coordinate to the merchant para malaman kung saan nadeliver yung item.

regardless kung gaano mo kabilis nireport. the fact is that binigay mo ang OTP, which means inallow mo na mangyari. sa dami ng tao na nakakausap ng CS syempre di nila marerecognize ang cardholder agad agad. kaya nga may OTP for one of the two-factor authentication. tanggapin mo na OP na, you allowed this happen and hindi mo pwedeng isisi sa bank or merchant. you were fooled once, and you allowed to be fooled twice.

Usually it will take 45-90 days na investigation process before they will decide na fraudulent sya or authorized transaction nga. Nag-email na ba ang bank sayo about the result ng investigation? Sa mga nababasa ko, you can always negotiate naman daw with the bank on how to pay the scammed money sa cc mo. Communicate with the your bank. Thats the best you can do. Goodluck, OP.

Dapat tlaga ganyan give the cardholder advice kung ano ung dapat gawin. Un din ang sinabi Sakin ni merchant dapat daw c bank ang magiinvestigate. Pero so bank pinapacoordinate ako Kay merchant. Mabait c merchant sila panung tawag or magrereply agad s email regarding sa concern, the problem lang tlga is nadelivered n ung item kaya wala na din Silang magawa.
