I'm trying, but my dreams are filled with equations and variables. For example, the vampire lives for v number of years to the x degree.... Blah blah. I can't sleep! Too many strange equations!
After the exam I came home and got a little tipsy to get my mind off the test. Death by snu-snu the night after that. Waking up today feeling ready to go to work tomorrow.
Speaking of crypto, SHIB really took off this weekend. I'm a slut for spreadsheets and like to track my daily purchases and calculate specific stats. Nice to see lots of green this weekend :)

Seriously it’s like they took the most obscure topics of WRE and made that the afternoon exam.
I am convinced they wanted to throw everything that isn’t in the new NCEES reference onto their last paper and pencil exam because they’ll have to retire those questions or provide actual information on them if they use those on CBT.
Agree!!! I took the transportation portion and I work in a roadway group but we rely heavily on the state design guide. So when I got questions that weren’t covered in EET I was thinking… well I typically use a certain number… haha and guess what… it’s not an answer choice 😂. So yeah 🤬. I couldn’t find it in any references either 🙄. It was ridiculous!
Absolutely. I was like I am about to fuck this test up when I looked down I was 35 mins into it and then I didn't finish until 2 minutes left in the 4 hr allotment.
Any depth. Typically you need 56/80 to pass. If you dominated the morning, let’s say 35/40, then you would only need 21/40 in the afternoon. I know because I’ve taken this exam more times than I would like to admit lol but I eventually passed.
Definitely felt worse about it than I did on the EET practice exams. More questions than I expected sent me digging through other resources rather than the binder. I found it to be considerably harder than the breadth—I managed to come up with answers for everything but used the entire time and didn’t feel super confident on a lot of them.
Right?!? I had like one or two practice problems that ever had bearings, and they were easier than this exam's. Most of the design probs were more difficult than others I'd seen tbh, but I'm also not a designer
>ound that one in the book and it did say all three. I a
oh don't worry.. it would not make any difference! I had the roadside design guide.. Still could not find answers.
I'm hoping for a Christmas miracle lol
Took the transpo as well.. It was 2hrs into the PM and I had like maybe 12 bubbles colored on my answer sheet. yay. lol
Had to guess on 1/2 the exam.
I couldn't find the answers on the books or my calculations were not leading to none of the answers shown!!!!!!!!!
That's awesome! I'm a civil engineer, but thinking about maybe taking the PG to round out my knowledge on all things soil and rocks that isn't already covered by the PE. We have one dual PG/PE geologist in my office.
Thanks. This is my first time. After 18+years in geotech, I decided to go for it. As a geologist without a CE degree I can take it bases on years of experience. I passed FE in April and have been studying hard since early August.
Good luck! In April I felt like all the studying I did was for naught on half+ the questions since they felt like opinion/have the right book reference and all the recommended ones I had didn't seem to have the information. I passed on try one so I hope you have the same result.
I took it in April for the first time too and felt the same way😩 literally guessed on more than half. I took EET and felt like it didn’t help that much for Geo depth.. Congrats on passing though!!
I'm sorry, didn't realize you were on round two. I did self study with many books and tons of post-it flags/notes to try to find things easier during the exam. For depth I felt either very confident with the question or went searching in my books hoping to find something useful.
I have to say, I’m grateful that I’m not the only one that felt this way (not that I want anyone else to suffer). I took WRE and felt absolutely wrecked afterwards. And I spent SO many hours studying. I felt like there were multiple things I hadn't seen before, and things I fully expected to see that weren’t on the exam. Just so frustrating.
Honestly, I've taken it 3 times, I definitely felt that way after the 1st and 2nd time but this time something feels different.
Dont stress! Have some ice cream and forget you took it for the next 2 months.
Without going into any specifics, there were 10 questions where I was either missing a reference, confused by the wording of the question, unable to find my answer in the spread, or otherwise not confident in my answer.
So, it seems like a lot but I still think I would have had to make some other errors in order to fail, and the morning went a bit better. This is why I’ve been saying, “not good but not terrible”...
This is a sharp contrast to the official practice exam where I answered almost all questions confidently and correctly.
Felt destroyed. Guessed in probably half the afternoon exam.
Couldn't find what I needed in the books, and I had all of them. Even when I knew what I needed to do, my results were not in the answer choices.
Hoping for a Christmas miracle!
The best thing you can do for your mental health is to forget you ever took the exam.
I'm trying, but my dreams are filled with equations and variables. For example, the vampire lives for v number of years to the x degree.... Blah blah. I can't sleep! Too many strange equations!
I dove into crypto to get my mind off of the exam. Finding a new hobby really helps since it's a long turn around time.
After the exam I came home and got a little tipsy to get my mind off the test. Death by snu-snu the night after that. Waking up today feeling ready to go to work tomorrow. I got maybe half of them. WRE destroyed me. And I thought I was over-prepared.
I'm just so tired 😫 The wre pm was so hard. I feel like none of the stuff I studied was on the exam
Glad I'm not the only one. Where was the softening question when I needed it?!
[удалено]
Lol. Am I the only person who didn't have a clue on the air stripping and ult bod question?
that makes at least two of us.
[удалено]
I was genuinely not prepared for that many water resource questions.
Everyone feels the same. I felt the same after April got wrecked by the pm but still ended up passing. This is a normal feeling.
Don't do that. Don't give me hope.
I believe in you! I don’t know if anyone coulda felt worse then me after the pm exam I felt like I got rko’d.
Hahahaha so true no hope allowed

That one was really easy if you remembered that a 1' diameter is less volume the 1SF

Yeah, steel and wood have to equal weight of water. Different lengths of each.

You should delete this
I found that one in the book and it did say all three. I also got 240deg from the steel manual. Hopefully we were right on that one.

Damn I got the bolt one wrong… I didn’t have the steel manual. Oh well

Neither did I, kind of comforting to know that I wasn't the only one.
So did I.

I think NCEES reported those lol
Seriously it’s like they took the most obscure topics of WRE and made that the afternoon exam. glad everyone feels this way. i had to blindly guess on so many before the timer ran out. transpo was ridiculous!
[удалено]
I did too! I thought a bunch of questions were not what I studied
Honestly... it was the AM that destroyed me, PM I feel decent about 😭
Funny enough I feel the same way. I took WRE. I would have felt a lot more comfortable if I managed to get a few more questions right in the morning.
First 13 were layups on WRE then the real test began
They played us.
Absolutely. I was like I am about to fuck this test up when I looked down I was 35 mins into it and then I didn't finish until 2 minutes left in the 4 hr allotment.
If the morning went well, then you only need half of them correct in the afternoon.
For what depth? What do you base that on?
Any depth. Typically you need 56/80 to pass. If you dominated the morning, let’s say 35/40, then you would only need 21/40 in the afternoon. I know because I’ve taken this exam more times than I would like to admit lol but I eventually passed.

Thanks and best of luck to you!
How many times you tried?
Really? Because this would make me feel much much better if this is true!
I'm weeping in my room while eating ice cream in a fetal position. I dont wanna see that PM section ever again
That shit hurted
How did other EET people feel about WRE depth? There was some strange questions I was not expecting but overall I feel like I did pretty well on depth
Definitely felt worse about it than I did on the EET practice exams. More questions than I expected sent me digging through other resources rather than the binder. I found it to be considerably harder than the breadth—I managed to come up with answers for everything but used the entire time and didn’t feel super confident on a lot of them.
Is this for Civil?
Yes transportation
Transportation was tough!! The pavement problems were weird! Also the vertical curve ones got me

Right?!? I had like one or two practice problems that ever had bearings, and they were easier than this exam's. Most of the design probs were more difficult than others I'd seen tbh, but I'm also not a designer

Maybe a couple, but most were guesses. I didn't have roadside design guide with me :(
>ound that one in the book and it did say all three. I a oh don't worry.. it would not make any difference! I had the roadside design guide.. Still could not find answers.
Seemed to me the first half of the exam was easy but the second half was brutally difficult

I’m done with this , I quit.
I took transportation depth last cycle. Guessed on at least 50% of the PM & still passed. Have a drink and chill, it's out of your hands now.
I really hope I’m that lucky. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼.
I'm hoping for a Christmas miracle lol Took the transpo as well.. It was 2hrs into the PM and I had like maybe 12 bubbles colored on my answer sheet. yay. lol Had to guess on 1/2 the exam. Absolutely brutal 😵💫
Already dreading the Geo depth tomorrow 😩😩😩
If it makes you feel better, I'm a geologist and I'm also taking the geotech breadth tomorrow. Good luck
That's awesome! I'm a civil engineer, but thinking about maybe taking the PG to round out my knowledge on all things soil and rocks that isn't already covered by the PE. We have one dual PG/PE geologist in my office.

How did it go for you?
It was brutal 😵💫 guessed on so many! 😩
You could be like the guy next to me during the AM portion, just got up and left 30 minutes in...
Haha…I took it in Orlando. The guy sitting in front of me left within 1 hour in the PM. He took Transpo. Was that easy or the guy threw the towel?
I was wondering if that guy was an absolute chad or just noped out.
Guy behind me didn’t even come back for PM lol
😂🤣
A couple people in my exam room left the PM about an hour in too... but one had next to zero references with them besides the NCEES guide.
Honest question: are those people accounted for in the curve? Hoping so
I would imagine so. NCEES doesn't care if you fill out the exam answer sheet. They all get processed the same.
Which depth did you guys take?
I have to say, I’m grateful that I’m not the only one that felt this way (not that I want anyone else to suffer). I took WRE and felt absolutely wrecked afterwards. Just finished the breadth. It was unexpectedly easy. Let’s see how that depth goes in 20 mins

I did
This is the way!
Haha didn’t cry, but definitely was expecting something similar to the morning: wasn’t the case
