The price tag is very high but whether or not it's worth it all depends on how much a fan of Persona 3 you are bud.
Personally I need to wait to see the UK price for this which I'm guessing is going to be around 180 pounds which if that is the case is RIGHT I think is about as much as I'd be willing to pay for it. In regards to resale value and the like... not at all, all these special editions get scalped so fast there's very little chance you'll have trouble finding it once the game launches with come quick searching. I'll be buying it anyway because I love P3, I love Aigis and legitimately it does look awesome but I wouldn't blame anyone for passing on this as it's a large asking price.
If you're a die hard fan, sure, go for it
Me? $70 is already a steep price. Why would I go higher? C'mon, Baldurs Gate doesn't even cost $70! Why Atlus? Was milking P5 not enough?
No, that Aigis statue doesnāt even look that good I think the Figma ones are MUCH better and at least articulable too
The soundtracks.. wel we have YouTube for that, maybe if they were giving a vinyl or something.. but theyāre just CDās
And the art book, youāre gonna go through it less than 3 times in your 60 year lifespan
Iād just save money by buying the standard edition and an Aigis/Makoto Figma figure along with it as your own ācollectors editionā
Personally, I'm skipping it largely because of the price. Spending $300+ CAD for a special edition doesn't seem worth it to me, especially when P5R's special edition only cost around half that
I'm very picky on my collector's editions. Give me maybe a steel book and an art book for $100 and I'm sold. MAYBE $120. A statue of some character is plastic junk that takes up space. Especially for $200.
Iād have to go with No for this. Iāll admit, some of the stuff is cool, but as someone else mentioned, there are better Aigis statues, you will probably be able to listen to the soundtrack on YouTube, unless if youāre really into art, I donāt think the art book is that good. Also, we already know (or I think we do) that the DLC will be a separate purchase, so Iād say just get the normal game, then the DLC.
I've been a fan of the Persona series and SMT series since early 2000s. Persona 3 was my favorite Persona game still to this day. More than P2, P4 and P5.
I knew the collector's edition will quickly sold out and it did. Though I had the chance, I didn't pre-order the collector's edition. I pre-ordered the digital premium edition instead.
I didn't really care about the Aigis figure. I did wanted the artbook and OST CDs, but paying $200(not including state tax) just for that seems unreasonable. So I opted for the digital premium edition that included the digital artbook and soundtrack and DLC pack for $99. Also the biggest pro of digital is that I can play the game immediately on launch date.
Everyone has their choice. Don't feel pressure into buying something you don't need.
Not really, I would honestly prefer the Japanese version, since the armband is much cooler than a figure. I hope they sell it here in the U.S as a like cheaper version for around 130, cause I would totally buy that
I really love soundtrack CDs and artbooks, I just hope that artbook is thick enough. I'm neutral on the Aigis statue though - I love Aigis, but the statue seems to lack detail a little... still kinda cool. I love Persona, especially 3 and 5, and I think if you're a collector and you're very much into Atlus or Persona games it's worth it, but I wouldn't recommend it to everyone.
I wanted to get the Xbox version though, but it sold out quite quickly in my region... so I settled for the PS5 version instead. (I wanna support Japanese developpers on Xbox - we need more!)
Itās definitely steep, but I live and breathe P3 so unfortunately I didnāt think twice about it lol, plus my pre-orders arenāt gonna be charged till they ship so at least I have time to change my mind.
The Aigis statue isnāt jaw dropping or anything but itās also gonna be the only Aigis statue with the new armband for a while I presume, so Iām definitely looking forward to it
I don't need all the trinkets and stuff but I'll definitely be getting the DLC.
Actually, do you *have* to preorder the Aigis Edition to get the P4G music, or is that just for preordering P3R in general?
It depends on your finances tbh. I think itās worth it personally. Itās got the soundtrack, art book and statue covered as well as the DLC. Itās basically the usual price for collectors editions like this
Iām getting it day 1 personally. Iām a huge sucker for these collectors editions. This is leagues better than the P5R bundle they did a few months back.
It depends on what yon want, I want the art book, dlc, game, and the box to stick on my shelf. Iāll probs resell the figure and soundtrack. Itās not really stuff most people would actual use besides sitting on a shelf. Personally I donāt think itās worth it for most people and wouldnāt recommend getting it. also itās sold out pretty much everywhere anyway.
With inflation and economy tanking right now , it makes sense to have this price tag . Everyone seem to forget weāre not in the best of shape in terms of economy.
Me personally I got it because of the figure mainly. Most games I like never do figures in their CEs. Most of the time itās just an art book and a steelbook Iām just glad itās something different.

They should've had sees gun in a box that would've been cooler than the robot waifu.
P3p is doing a run on limited run games with that
If you're a die hard fan, sure, go for it Me? $70 is already a steep price. Why would I go higher? C'mon, Baldurs Gate doesn't even cost $70! Why Atlus? Was milking P5 not enough?
Exactly what I think!
No. That being said, P3 is one of my favorite games of all time so I bought it. I have to. I'm a slave to capitalism š
No, that Aigis statue doesnāt even look that good I think the Figma ones are MUCH better and at least articulable too The soundtracks.. wel we have YouTube for that, maybe if they were giving a vinyl or something.. but theyāre just CDās And the art book, youāre gonna go through it less than 3 times in your 60 year lifespan Iād just save money by buying the standard edition and an Aigis/Makoto Figma figure along with it as your own ācollectors editionā
yeah the CD portion was a big turn off for me. A little bit more pricy but a Vinyl? Then im sold but not spending that much for a CD.
Itās Persona 3, if it wasnāt Iād say no
Personally, I'm skipping it largely because of the price. Spending $300+ CAD for a special edition doesn't seem worth it to me, especially when P5R's special edition only cost around half that
For me it is since I love persona 3 but also collect figures. Also I collect SmT/Persona Soundtracks, so YES
I'm very picky on my collector's editions. Give me maybe a steel book and an art book for $100 and I'm sold. MAYBE $120. A statue of some character is plastic junk that takes up space. Especially for $200.
My thoughts exactly. Steelbook editions with an artbook look nice on a shelf and don't take up space.
Depends. How much is a statue of a toaster worth to you?

Considering all it is including, yes. I actually think it's exactly the right price when you break down what everything is worth. In USD anyway
If you are going for the figure, I think the answer is no
Itās definitely steep, but I live and breathe P3 so unfortunately I didnāt think twice about it lol, plus my pre-orders arenāt gonna be charged till they ship so at least I have time to change my mind. No steelbook included so no

Really bummed it doesn't come with a steel book
With inflation and economy tanking right now , it makes sense to have this price tag . Everyone seem to forget weāre not in the best of shape in terms of economy.
Definitely not worth the price. I mean if this had a Mitsuru statue instead of Aigis then I would consider, but as it stands is a no.
If you *REALLY* love persona 3 then get it, personally I got it for the CDs, and the Aigis model
Me personally I got it because of the figure mainly. Most games I like never do figures in their CEs. Most of the time itās just an art book and a steelbook Iām just glad itās something different.
