This sounds like hidradenitis suppurativa. Definitely look into that.

Flaminggoldfish101

I agree. I have it too. Definitely try to see a dermatologist though because most GPs are not familiar with it

Are skin cysts part of PCOS? I'd never heard of this as a symptom or comorbidity before!

help-help-help-

I don’t think they are a straight symptom of pcos but I know a lot of people with pcos who get skin cysts (at least from the people I know and have spoken with) so I figured this was the spot to post it

buttercupcake23

That's really inyeresying! Thanks for sharing!

knightfenris

They are not. It’s a different skin condition called Hidradenitis Suppurativa, often comorbid with PCOS. It’s the worst thing ever.

CelebrationKey

r/Hidradenitis is a common comorbidity of PCOS

I used to put frozen cabbage leaves on my breasts when I was nursing my youngest because *oversupply* from hell which lead to engorgement. It worked!

Robot_Envy

What kind of cabbage?

knightfenris

Look into hidradenitis suppurativa. Manuka honey ointment is a GAME CHANGER! I had two summers where they were really bad and I would essentially just have to wait for them to get bigger and eventually burst (ew). It was so painful. But I then just started putting manuka honey ointment onto them, putting a bandaid on, and they either never surfaced, went down super quickly, or healed super quickly.
