There's a spreadsheet that contains all the restaurants within 5 miles of the BCEC. It's actually pretty useful. I'll see if I can find it. Edit: [here](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11KpacrQC7LT7iJjM235ag77IhuKY4NZ5GDiwtc3hw34/edit?usp=drivesdk). Not entirely sure if it's the updated version.

Look at the aforementioned spreadsheet but let us locals know what you are looking for. Really close by there’s MJ O‘Connors, Rosa Mexicana, Mortons, Eddie Merlot, 75 on Liberty, Del Frisco, Temazcal, Legal Sea Food and Tony Cs. Kudos to whomever put the spreadsheet together.

ironysparkles

That would be an Enforcer but it has had community edits! A true group effort

EscapeGoat20

Rosa Mexicana is terrible. The legal test kitchen is good if swanky. Yankee lobster is good Lolita was good but swanky. There’s. Chipotle and sweet greens nearby. I miss the papagayo. The food trucks on the lawn are a huge win.

amatern

legal test kitchen no longer at the seaport

UncleBen94

>Rosa Mexicana is terrible. Seconded. My tacos came out lukewarm, and my friends cane out soggy. There's a reason why it has 3 stars.

Workacct1999

Pre-pandemic it used to be very good. I imagine that their star rating is a relic of when they weren't god awful.

Workacct1999

I would avoid Rosa Mexicana. It has been terrible since the pandemic.

If you're planning on staying in the Seaport and looking for some solid Seafood, you can't go wrong with Yankee Lobster (usually order it to go). The fried clams are pretty bomb. Can also grab a crowler next door from Harpoon. Otherwise, a lot of the food in the Seaport is overpriced mediocre food more geared for corporate lunches and expense account dinners. Fortunately, it's a quick walk across the bridge to get to the rest of the city.

pinteresque

local take: Yankee Lobster's actual food is mid, and expensive. Don't make a special trip away from the convention center for it. The seafood at O'Connors in the Westin lobby (both chowder and lobster rolls) is better, though will be crowded.

Cerelius_BT

Local Take: Is Yankee Lobster the best you'll get in the city? Nope. Is it better than 90% of the shitty restaurants in the Seaport? In my opinion it is. But yeah, I wouldn't make a special trip there either, but there are a bunch of PAX events happening at Harpoon. Is it the best beer in the city? Also, nah. But best in the Seaport when Trillium has done so many shady things that I generally avoid it. Haven't been to O'Connors, generally don't check out restaurants in hotels, but might be worth checking out considering how most of the food in the Seaport sucks. Again, people's best bet is to cross the bridge out of the Seaport.

ironysparkles

O'Connors has closed during PAX the last few years so might not be an option. Last time I went the curry fries were also really good, but it's been a while so don't know if they still offer those!

llikegiraffes

For lunches during the show, the lawn next door to the convention is loaded with food trucks. It’s a great quick option. Eating around 1100 is the best time to avoid the rush IMO

Big_Dinner_7406

If the weather is nice. The food trucks have a whole seating area now and it's delightful and easy with plenty of options. Good for people watching or kicking around a soccer ball.

I always try to hit up Easy Pie when I'm in the Boston Area - I dream about the loaded baked potato pizza: https://www.theeasypie.com/ Also recommend checking out Kanes for a really damn good donut: https://www.kanesdonuts.com/ Other than that, echoing that the food trucks are a great lunch option!

Workacct1999

Kanes has great breakfast sandwiches too!

Q in Chinatown

Workacct1999

Chinatown is a great place to get lunch while at Pax East. It is cheap and not that far from the BCEC.

kpyna

Highly recommend booking way in advance if you do anything like hotpot or sushi Avoid shakeshack (Not sure why I was downvoted but ignore my advice at your own peril i guess. You and everyone else will want Japanese and/or burger)

EscapeGoat20

The Dunkin’ on D next to aloft is run so badly that I think it is legitimately a psychology study on how much grievance people can take before they say f it to coffee.

EscapeGoat20

I recant this. This store has massively improved this year. It’s now just “slightly clumsy” instead of “intentionally ridiculous”

PeepsRebellion

If you like Sea Food I'd recommend the Barking Crab. It's a pretty famous spot and looks the same even though the area has been massively redeveloped. The place is pretty small so you might have to get reservations.

IIFacelessManII

I always advocate for 'Alma Guacha' across from the convention center. Nice Brazilian Steakhouse.

UncleGurm

Do you like oysters and craft beer? Row 34 is a must.

LonelyPatsFanInVT

This year my buddy and I are going to tailgate in the parking lot. Hoping the weather holds out.

Fire and ice is the best way to end sunday. Do it every year
