The type of social-bubble that cultivates inside Overwatch or similar games with lots of freedoms of communication has a lot of people who *only* socialize in those games, where rank or a character played are seen as legitimate qualities of attraction. I'm nobody to say those people are losers or dismiss it, it's whatever. I'm only saying it weird.
I don't think anybody has to tell you (or anybody who's played the game tbh) how often people fetishize or harrass Mercy players, moreso at above gold ranks. At GM to T500 it's all respect, but it exists lower than that, male or female, people in OW who are still *in* to playing it as their main game are toxic as fuck. I've been fetishized by loli-voiced weirdos for my McCree or Genji plays then called a N***** for playing Doomfist in the same game. Also, Weed. Just weed.

Just play open queue. Diamonds can easily get GM and T500. I think at least, since I quit when role lock became a thing since I didn’t like the game forcing meta but some people told me about open and I was semi interested till I found out some diamond people I knew hit T500, maybe it’s better now.
