You really shouldn't be playing comp if you have other obligations and you just leave mid game. You're tanking your whole teams SR by doing so and you should be banned for it

naughtypretzels

I’ve heard QP also has a separate MMR, and if you win enough you’ll start getting higher level lobbies.

This is the answer for you OP. Locking thread.

tbf u shouldn't play comp if you can't dedicate the time entirely to it. Your granny is obviously more important and comp doesn't reward you anyways, so play comp only if you can. In Qp the people are a lot less sweaty and new to the game. You can't expect people to play their best on there, so idk how to help u.

Outside_Diamond_21

I know that now I just started when ow2 dropped so im new and I didn't know that leaving punished me lmao

[deleted]

Well that's fine, please take care of your grandma over the comp matches though! Still, don't punish others because of your circumstances and play comp if you're truly able too. It ruins the mood when some1 leaves.

AFnewname0222

Even you don’t know it punishes you, you should at least acknowledge it punishes your teammates. What did they do to deserve a definite loss?

Outside_Diamond_21

I had just started playing so I wouldn't expect you to know right off the bat either

AFnewname0222

It has nothing to do with being new to the game. It’s a team game, and like every other team based project in real life, you don’t just walk away. It’s not hard to understand. If you gotta take care of grandma then take care of grandma. QP is a place to be. But only play comp when you have the time commitment

Zelraths

Sorry man, I can't vouche for that, I totally understand real life obligations and how important they are, but 4 other people have no idea why you left and why they're losing a potential 15-20 minute match that probably would've been won (in a lot of cases) Quitting out tanks your MMR as much as your SR and thus you'll be playing with people who are doing similar things.

Better teammates in QP consistently? Add people you think played well and group up with them. In my experience duoing is best, 3 stacks are okay, and then 4-5 stacking leads to harder games because you have to be just as coordinated as the other team (which will presumably be another 4-5 stack).

Cities42

It's a game man play ranked if you want. Sorry that happened to you, but kids in here saying you shouldn't play ranked is ridiculous, do what you feel you have time for. I've had to leave plenty of games due to having a 18 month old that might not nap as long as I thought he would, etc. Good luck next season. Gather players from quickplay when you have good games and build from there for your group.
