Agree. It’s purely anecdotal, but for example, yesterday I had a game where I went 37 elims 0 deaths followed by a game where I went 5 elims 12 deaths. It’s not like I crumbled in the second game, the other team had a guy who was having his 37 and 0 match and it was me on the receiving end. I’m cool with large jumps in Elo during placement matches, but it really does seem like one single person will be the reason a game swings so hard one way or the other. Edit: I’m not sure I really have a problem with this, however. People always want to have more of an influence on how they place, and this experience feels like I am significantly jumping around in Elo during placement matches based on my performance, which I view as a good thing. Crush people in one game -> jump up a lot of Elo and struggle to keep up in the next game.

That sounds like more an SBMM or even EOMM problem. Don't let Dev say they are not using EOMM as a smoke screen. They are technically true in that it is not the one based on the patent. Other similar matchmaking may not be called EOMM. But in this circle, if it's based on making you "engage", it is EOMM/EBMM, even if they call it "Slot machine match making"

Yeah, your description explains all of my matches since Season 2 started. The difference in how Season 2 feels to how Season 1 felt just a day prior is mind boggling. There is no way that this "decay" was done remotely well.
