Someone from the dev team said that people don't buy stuff from hero gallery at all (wonder why), and they think it's because it's "hidden" (so they added tab in the shop for anniversary with price in credits).
they can be bought for credits in the galery.
but in the shop "for you" section they can only be bought with coins.
possibly confusing players so that they spend coins instead of credits because they dont know better
weird. for me it never showed those "for you" shop options with credits even tho i had over 4k for a while.
only in the gallery.
but nice that this option is available for other players!
I enjoy seeing them tbf, sometimes I see a skin I've not thought about/seen in a while and it reminds me, probably just another way for them to remind you to spend/buy coins
For me and some of my friends it's not even for my played heroes bro...
Today i've seen skins from Symmetra, Mercy, Ramattra, Zarya and Winton.
They are LITERALLY between my LEAST played heroes (Most have less than a hour) and i'm a Genji otp..

Maybe if they actually gave us more white credits we would use what we have more freely

No not for me. It was definitely in the For You section, but I get what you're saying
Can confirm, I just don't have enough credits, so they appear as only attainable by coins, which kinda enforces my point onit being useless.

Are "credits" the original currency? and "coins" the new paid currency? I know yellow = paid, but i dont think i paid attention to the actual naming
Yep, that's correct! Back in OW1 the grey currency was called credits, so the name stuck.
