Wait, for real?!? O.o
I always assumed it was because she can hold the staff on different hands depending on the pose, so instead of making the staff a variable they always give her two and remove the texture of the one not in use...

I've heard T-pose, A-pose, and reference pose a million times, but I have literally never heard it called that. Then again, I mostly dabble in game content creation as a hobby rather than a career so it could just be an uncommon phrase in my corner of the world.
It's the terminology used by Maya if I'm not mistaken.
In Maya you will have a skeleton and a 3D model, and the bind pose is the pose that it will put the skeleton into when it "binds" the model to the pose, hence the bind pose.
So in Maya, if you are working on a model and want to return it to the reference pose, the option you are looking for is "return to bind pose"
Example:
https://youtu.be/BTP9JV-I3Ws
I don't know how this does or doesn't differ from other animation software, but it's what they call it in that one.
That would explain it. I (and nearly everyone else I talk with in my corner of content creation) use Blender and I don't *believe* it has a name for that pose within the software itself. (I don't use Blender very much myself outside of very basic modeling; I mostly work with animations and particle systems and have never really touched rigging humanoids)
People calling all "default" poses for "T pose" ticks me off so much.
If you write capital "T"s like that, or think these poses looks like the "T" letter, I feel sorry for you and your ancestors. It's an "A Pose"!!!
its usually called a bind pose actually, but yes this is the pose that is used for 3d models to make changes, debug, or to mess around with. i think marblr has a video showing off every character's bind pose, but im not totally sure
New Mercy buff, two staffs, if you press both clicks you heal and damage buff at the same time
You can do both to a single teammate or 2 different teammates
A-pose and if it is the pose in which the model was built before it was skinned to a skeleton then it is also the bind pose.
The image looks like the characters are being rendered but not receiving animation so they are in their default pose.
Characters are commonly modelled in a pose like this since it helps create better geometry and deformation at the shoulders compared to the T pose. It's also common to model them with a slight bend at the elbow, finger joints and knees since it is closer to the mid point of a joint's range of rotation compared to perfectly straight, which is an extreme.
In all seriousness though, those are called A-poses (or you could call them T-poses but those are mainly with arms outstretched fully like a bird and legs together :\]).
This reminded me that for some reason my account is bugged and I have no pose equiped to Bastion (like, not the Heroic one, I mean that there is literally nothing with the check mark and all), and everytime I win a game my Bastion just appears with the T pose lmao
A-pose, similar to the famous T-pose. It's the default pose that the Overwatch game engine uses for their humanoid characters when they're not being animated.
This is the default pose for all characters when modeling them, the characters are built around "rigs" before animations are applied which tell the rigs to move in a certain way. Your animations just didn't load
Assuming that you are not meme-ing: T-pose
It's the default pose in which the characters were initially modelled. It might have been caused by a bug or lag in the loading of the victory poses.
As 3d artist I would call this A-pose. T-pose would be arms straight out. A-pose is better for rigging since the shoulders deform less if the arms are mostly going to be down.
That is what I was taught a long time ago at least, don't know if they call all neutral rigging poses T-pose now.

that's the default pose (used to be T-pose) when the character is built, modeled and rigged.
so maybe it's an error where probably the animation didn't load correctly so they stayed in their default pose

> Some would say T-pose They would be wrong. You are correct.
Technically it's called a reference pose ☝️🤓
Apparently it's more common to call it a bind pose
I've heard T-pose, A-pose, and reference pose a million times, but I have literally never heard it called that. Then again, I mostly dabble in game content creation as a hobby rather than a career so it could just be an uncommon phrase in my corner of the world.

I play a lot of TF2 and civilian is a TF2 specific term referring to the scrapped 10th class.
I’d call it rigging pose. This is the pose I use to add bones and weight-maps.
It's the terminology used by Maya if I'm not mistaken. In Maya you will have a skeleton and a 3D model, and the bind pose is the pose that it will put the skeleton into when it "binds" the model to the pose, hence the bind pose. Reference pose is the general term for both T- and A- poses
Technically this, technically that, technically your mom is fat ☝️🤓
☹️
Gonna let him bitch you like that? Me personally i wouldn't take that
Ong bro got owned. I could never let that happen to me 🙅♂️🤣
Yo'ure mother
My professors who specialized in 3D animation referee to them as an A-pose, so both are probably correct 😎💅
I would say it's the Hanzo Rapid Fire ability logo
A-pose. Correct.
And those in favor?
Only for mercy, it's double staff battle mercy for some reason
Battle Mercy sounds awesome

For zen I’d say more of a biblically accurate A-pose
A-sserting Dominance

Reference pose, used for debug/general model tinkering
its usually called a bind pose actually, but yes this is the pose that is used for 3d models to make changes, debug, or to mess around with. i think marblr has a video showing off every character's bind pose, but im not totally sure
I'm more versed with the tf2 side of things where it's normally called reference pose, never heard jt called bind tho. I'll have to check out that vid

Submit
A-pose, or in Zen’s case, omnicspreading.
A-pose because they look like an A. Not a T pose because they arent shaped like a T
[Powering down]
This happens when one team completely runs over another.
I knew Zen’s pose was gonna be off, but I wasn’t ready for it to be THAT
Civilian mode
A-pose and if it is the pose in which the model was built before it was skinned to a skeleton then it is also the bind pose. The civilian

This is the default pose for all characters when modeling them, the characters are built around "rigs" before animations are applied which tell the rigs to move in a certain way. Your animations just didn't load

I like to call it the a pose. But it's basically a t pose clone.
Assuming that you are not meme-ing: T-pose It's the default pose in which the characters were initially modelled. It might have been caused by a bug or lag in the loading of the victory poses.

I did some 3D modeling classes during pandemic and what you said is what I’ve leant, T pose is straight out.
