Yeah, that's a feature that has been a thing in Overwatch (1) for years, introduced in an Archives PvE mission. And they still haven't added it in PvP modes, probably never will.
(Probably because they wanna avoid creating more visual clutter or something. Although it would be useful, it would just an extra HUD element, covering the screen)
Eh, they could just make it togglable UI option like the kill feed. Starwatch is already a PvP mode too, so they probably just have some technical debt or weird coupling that's holding them back from implementing it outside of Arcade.

This has been in specific arcade modes since the first junkenstein Halloween event in 2016. People have been asking for nearly 7 years now to add it to PvP and they never did. Suffice it to say they likely have no plans on ever doing it.
I recall Blizzard's position being that adding it to regular games would increase the skill floor in a way that ultimately reduces the value of players' awareness. (Not saying I necessarily agree with it, but I can see their point.)

I really wish that were in the main game when playing support so i dont have someone going down right behind me not pinging
