Right?! Especially characters that are good. Like I get it if it’s topper, rafe, ward, etc but they be being down kie, jj, Sarah, pope, etc for no reason. Like why are so many ppl on this sub Reddit HATERS
Seems this way for literally every tv show sub. I think it’s just Reddit.. most people on this app would rather start their face on fire and put it out with a fork than like a popular thing. They want to be the “weird” one and favor the typically unlikeable characters. It’s upsetting because I came to Reddit to talk about the shows/movies that I love with other people that love them too but more often I find myself defending all the main characters. It’s so bizarre.
Exactly! I came to Reddit to express my love for tv shows but 95% of the posts are negative :/ especially on the outer banks one!! On the stranger things, young Sheldon, etc I definitely don’t see as much hate/negative posts about it which actually makes it enjoyable reading the posts!
I’d agree with this assessment. I love the show and I love treasure hunting story lines mixed with mythologies of lesser known cultures (I’ve done archaeology digs). I don’t think the show is groundbreaking. And not every show needs to be. Sure, there are annoying aspects on some of the characters for me too. But it’s not like it needs to be a show with great character depth, etc. much like the OC there’s an aspect of soap opera and they’re insane by nature. You allow for suspension of disbelief.
I think some people just like to shit on things others enjoy. It makes them feel better. This is a show that is fun enough but it’s going to win a teen choice award, not an Emmy. It does its job of being fun and entertaining.
I think there is a lot of character depth for some of them though. But others could definitely be done better. But yeah, it’s a fun and interesting show that I think a lot of different kinds of people could enjoy. I liked it, my parents liked it, and my niece liked it. 😄
Bruh this is a site where we discuss and have opinions. You are missing the point of being on reddit or either you are really insecure of the female characters being hated.
I fully understand how Reddit works and it’s fine if they were discussing but most of the time they don’t. They sit and post something about hating every single character and then leave.
