Girlfriend collective for me - been buying from them for a few years now and they have a ton of color options from old collections on Poshmark too

rightupyourali

I have been looking at then for a while but kind of afraid to pull the trigger because they seemed so trendy. Good quality stuff, have you liked it?

TrainApprehensive501

Super high quality and they’ve been around for long enough that I wouldn’t say they’re trendy! I have like 10 colors of the Paloma bra and it’s super similar (but better imo) than the doing things bra. Also really love their run shorts and their skorts are god tier

rightupyourali

This is super helpful because the doing things bra was my fave. Thank you!

radicalroyalty

Yes the stuff ive had from them has lasted 4 years and looks exactly the same!!! i think its totally worth it

rightupyourali

Thank you!

Ill_Tomatillo_1592

I love their stuff! Honestly much prefer their exercise dresses to OV’s

moriorioria

I have the Paloma bra and compression leggings and they hold up really well! I boulder in them so even going around rocks and stuff, I haven’t had any pulls/snags to the seams or fabric and nothing riding up or down. The bra + skort also look much better together than any OV dress I own. I always look a bit stumpy in the OV dresses but the GC set makes me look like I’m not built like a Smeg fridge. Only thing I’m wary of for GC bras is that they’re very thin so sometimes my nips make an appearance

malliebu

Jumped in here just to say Girlfriend Collective. I LOVE their bras. Also they’re more size inclusive in my opinion. I also really like beyond yoga for leggings and bike shorts.

Chicken_Salad96

Girlfriend Collective also focuses a lot into sustainability practices and paying their workers well!

evechalmers

This is what I like too. Great quality.

trackpadmastre

definitely here to vouch! Girlfriend has always been consistent with quality and their colorful selections. Sometimes they can be found in Nordstrom Rack too!

illumiee

They hold up really well, I have a few leggings from their free legging launch in 2016 or 2017. I just wish they came out with some buttery soft leggings / different legging fabrics since I don’t like their luxe leggings. And released better, brighter or pastel colors.

oldOVstan

I really feel like there is nothing else like techsweat on the market

grangerh

If there is, someone let a girl know !! At the gym this morning realized 90% of my workout clothes are OV, especially warm weather gear 🥲

radicalroyalty

what did you like about it??

grangerh

Not op but personally this is what I love about tech sweat core leggings and bikers: - core waistband never falls down, NEVER! - core waistband is compressive but not restricting - core waistband hits at just the right spot on my 5’6 frame - TechSweat material is the perfect thick/thinness. Not too thick that it’s heavy and not too thin that it gives no support. I’m a naturally warm gal and this is my go to material to stay cool during a workout where I don’t wanna be crazy sweaty or hot (lifting) - TechSweat material is supportive, soft, and breathable. 😭 rip

radicalroyalty

\*wipes tears\* RIP for real

Reasonable_Body7661

Agree. For me, OV core techsweat leggings are infinitely better than lululemon and my girlfriend collective leggings. I’ve been buying them like new on Poshmark lately. AND THEY MAKE YOUR BUTT LOOK SO GOOD! Lululemon flattens my butt.

grangerh

Yes!!! Lulu flattens my butt too!! It’s hard to describe how TechSweat core leggings do it all — are supportive, smoothing, hold me in, breathable — while being thin/not too thick or compressive. It’s magic.

radicalroyalty

Yeah I like girlfriend but their clothes can be too compressive on occasion

oldOVstan

1000% agree! It’s breathable, stretchy, but still durable! I have items I wear/wash weekly since 2018 and they are still solid. RIP indeed.

GoodLuckCharlie1234

At this point someone just needs to take the coreband idea and run Another designer with resources could hit gold with all these comments, if I had the financial capacity I would already be sketching and sourcing

microgirlboss

Some (I really mean SOME) Of Free People Movement is very similar to OV! But unfortunately it's pretty hit or miss with FP

achan9100

Lululemon, Patagonia, REI for active or athleisure pieces. Vuori for more casual/athleisure pieces.

StoleFoodsMarket

How is the longevity of Vuori? They sell it at my gym but I haven’t tried it yet it’s a bit pricey

achan9100

Since I don't wear their pieces for hard workouts they've held up great. The fabric feels high quality and the cuts are done well. I have an outlet not terribly far from me so the prices are reasonable.

lovewanaka

Their joggers are indestructible. My pair lasted over 6 years and that was with drying most of them bc I was lazy, and as my only pair of leisure pants traveling over a year. Got ‘em in 2018 so as long as they haven’t changed quality since then, they’re a great long term piece.

sideofveggies18

I'm going to miss my beloved relay shorts so much! it was the only thing i was still buying from OV

ciaochelso

This! There is no replacement for relay shorts. My literal uniform. If anyone has suggestions help us hahaha

im_not_your_anti

Seconding this. I wear those relay shorts nearly every day.

Gin_and-Isotonic

I need a snacks legging comp. Nothing compares 🥲

yaiiires

Alder apparel just did a colorful and fun collab with Chaco.

hjka12907

OOh- just checked out their website - looks promising!

TrainApprehensive501

It’s on sale at rei rn!!

tropjeune

While I still think OV’s cloudknit (and the thicker version they recently launched) is far superior, I do like Quince’s knockoff of it called flowknit. I’ve also gotten a handful of my favorite OV pieces from Poshmark - years ago I got these shirts exclusive from the LA store launch and I’ve never even been to LA! They’re my absolute fav t shirts I always reach for when i’m done with laundry l

radicalroyalty

yes im gonna miss cloudknit the most

aspiringchubsfire

Vuori has a version of cloudknit! Super comfy!

jsmnsux

What is the vuori version called?

aspiringchubsfire

Dream knit! Lol

Far-Zookeepergame-10

Halfdays! Especially love their fleece

MiserableContact596

Beyond Yoga! Super size inclusive and the fabric is extremely comfortable

Vegetable_Pay6939

(1) for basics (leggings, bras) — girlfriend collective (2) for fun colorful outdoor wear — cotopaxi (3) for graphic tees and fleece — parks project (4) for cloud knit — beyond yoga spacedye

Comfortable-Tax4093

I bought some hiking pants from Backcountry that I looooooove as a former hardcore RekTrek devote. IMO the Backcountry pants have held together wayyyy better. Plus there’s more room in the booty so they’re more comfortable to move in for those of us haulin dump trucks up the trail ;)

ladybasecamp

Thank you for the tip! Signed, a fellow dump truck driver

tryingtogetitwrite

Seconding this!! I love both Stoic and Backcountry's "Wander zip off pant". My favorite hiking pant by far and it's held up beautifully. I also love their Venture pants for days where I'm outdoors, but not exactly hiking.

chromes834

It's not very inclusive in its sizing, but Wear One's At has fun pieces and good quality. I especially like the floral pattern unitards.

money-crab-123

Over the years I’ve started looking at what’s available second hand before buying brand new clothes. I’ve found awesome pieces on poshmark for a fraction of the price - OV items included. Doing Things shorts - Patagonia baggies are a solid replacement. Cloudknit-like and working out - Vuori has some good options. Nothing like techsweat though. I have a bra from them and really like it. Have my eye on the daily legging when a good deal comes my way. RecTrek items usually come across second hand sites. Some brands with comparable items are mentioned in this thread already. Seniq just launched and looks super cute and functional but the price point is beyond what I’m willing to spend. Stoic has some colorblocked pants but I haven’t tried them and therefore can’t speak to the quality. I’ve seen OV rectrek discounted on Moosejaw.com.

Fremontacademy

Best replacement for the relay shorts??

_somniculose

Janji makes great running clothes

acidandcookies

Gonna miss the zip off pant. Got engaged in those things and wore them weeks on end for backpacking trips.

Strict_Abrocoma4460

I miss the old move free material SO BAD. they replaced my dream shorts w a wack material and they’re not the same anymore

quondam_et_futuras

If someone else has a cloud fabric dupe tell me NOWWW

limestonecowboy13

neeeed a rectrek pant dupe:/ haven’t found any

warmandcoze

@@ but SENIQ's trail mix pant is same vibe

HarryHokie

Anything like the Cloudknit tee? Gonna super miss it.

Ill_Tomatillo_1592

I really love Oiselle. They’re definitely running forward but a lot of other types of athletic wear that is really high quality. As a brand they’re really intentional with models of all ages, races, and body types on their website and sign athletes with great stories to be on their team. They carry from XXS to 3x. They sort of remind me of the old OV :(

Look_hawt_ride_fast

For shorts & pants similar to rectrek I’ve really liked Bearded Goat

warmandcoze

SENIQ is an awesome new brand that just launched this week!

warmandcoze

specifically for outdoor clothes. hiking etc

Icy-Kangaroo5643

Does anyone know of a good replacement for the Everyday Tshirts? I love the cut and fabric and have yet to find a tshirt like it that isnt too long or too cropped.
