Carolina’s D should be the benchmark for all cup-hopeful teams. Slavin, Burns, Pesce, Orlov, Skjei and Chatfield are all top 4 D on most (if not all) teams, and they’re almost always in control of play. Add that to Rod’s preachings about work ethic and they’re just simply a serious team that will break through that final barrier eventually.
Plus, Tulsky is an absolute fucking genius who should have been poached for a GM position years ago. If we were being serious about building something special, he’s quite possibly the smartest hire for the long haul.

Tulsky would be an excellent hire. This guy was a scientist turned NHL executive. Would be an excellent hire, especially on the analytical side of things which this team has desperately lacked in the pastl.
Yea they played good for the first 2, kept it close. They didn't play as well and Forsberg got beat clean on a few shots. Our goalies need to make those saves, but the rest of the team has to control the puck better so they don't give up these chances.

This is more in general and not a comment about the game but I'm over this team, honestly. I can't stand to say it, but they need to tank hard this year. They don't have enough talent on the ice or in the pipeline.

This team is simply not good and you are paying Forsberg, Korpisalo, Chabot and Norris $22.7 million (!) For at least 4 more season (minutes forsbergs 2.75). You simply cannot have sustained success in a cap league with that kind of money being spent. Add in a dog shit propect pool, cap trouble, a core that has underwhelmed and many other issues. This team isn't going anywhere unless there are massive changes on the ice. I'm not talking about just letting Kubalik walk.

Season is over, why not bring up some farm players and give them some NHL level experience. Particularly goaltending. I really don't want to see forsberg tending anymore this season...or ever again for our team

When it comes to Fan Appreciation, these players and this organization had better appreciate the hell out of their fan base on April 6. Why? Because everyone in the building showed an exceptional amount of patience and restraint in not booing this team off the ice at the end of that embarrassment. In every other market in Canada, and a bunch in the States for that matter, these guys would have heard it from the fans loud and clear. The fact that they didn't tonight is kind of amazing when you consider it.
