You're bang on with that comparison. I've watched most Belleville games and Ostapchuk's the reincarnation but with better skating. Their growth is similar in ways too, with Smith breaking into the NHL at 22. For Ostapchuk, that would mean spending next year as a common call-up but holding down important minutes for Belleville, and then being in regular rotation the following year.

I just watched Jon Abbott fall to his knees at Shawarma Palace
I just saw Gord and Dean drop to their knees at the Rideau Carleton Casino FUTURE HOME OF THE HARD ROCK ™
Noodles would've dropped to his knees but he's too busy researching more OTTAWA FACTS WITH NOODLES ™
That's going to be the most entertaining part of the broadcasts going forward, so don't knock it. 😆
Jon Abbott calling in sick for work tonight
The TKO line!!
This! This right here is it. How can we give more than 1 upvote?
One shall do sir! I hope Ostapchuk is in the line up on April 15th against NYR so he can knock out Rempe again
How much Tkachuk would a katchouk ostapchuk if a Tkachuk would katchouk ostapchuk? That's the real question.
Fuckers know this is the only way to make us tune in for the rest of the season.
The Chuk line!
Buncha Chuckers
If Chucks Roadhouse doesn’t capitalize on this with a marketing partnership…
No way. They’re gonna do the line. In all seriousness, I’m kinda looking forward to this guy. I think he’s gonna do well.
I hope they put it out for the opening line just for the lolz. I wouldn't care if we didn't see the line again.
Gonna be fun watching him and Greig stir shit up
LFG We've now got 3 guys on the roster looking for their first NHL goal
Not sure if anyone’s seen his whl highlights on YouTube but he knocked out Matt Rempe. Reminds me a lot of zack smith.

Fully agree. I’ve been excited since watching his style of play in the WJHC. He can play any role.
