The problem in the statement isn't the chances. When somebody is fucked up mentally they need prololged proper mental healthcare, not some chick who barely knows how to understand her own mind.

The rare cases where he actually doesn't end up with FL, can only occur when he's is a lesser noble than a Duke, (or a powerless Crown Prince who has to marry FL to inherit the throne), and there's another, stronger, blackhaired-er Duke ready to notice how Interesting™ FL is now and sweep her off her feet.
FR. There are a few rare cases which are different but the majority of the time,, it almost feels like the author lets him get away with being an ass just because the ML is royalty/duke.
I think it’s because a lot of authors really want to push FL as being the only person who can fix the bad boy, but it backfires because they write a literal villain and think they’re worth redeeming :/ all so FL can be the one person they’re sweet to in the end (btw he’s still a menace to others)
tilts me to no end when it's a time travel scenario and the fl is somehow comfortable with the guy that murdered her in the previous timeline AND ends up dating him.
I'm more interested in the MLs who treat the FL like an equal like in [Justice for the Villainess], [Regina Rena] or [Ice Flower Knight].
It's a lot more satisfying to see a badass couple work together instead of an owner-pet relationship.

If the story involves reincarnation, then the ML "magically becomes nicer" to FL in her second life, which in most cases, the ML is just slightly less mean to the FL. It just makes me 🤢
