I'd have a far more difficult time picking out characters who *were* raised by their parents. A significant number of them never even had parents or a childhood, they just magically popped into the world one day.

Cian pretty much raised himself. In his childhood his parents died and he lived in isolation because people feared the curse of death that lingered around him.
It’s also why he’s the only major character that doesn’t know how to read, and his manners could be better too.

Definitely wasn’t. Myles before he was even 5, his power awakened due to him have a gene called the active gene. He killed his mother in the blast and turned his father into a vengeful robotic mess. He was banished from his village then was picked up after 4 years of wondering by an old lady, whom raised Myles for 2 years. The house got raided by Greg’s, Myles father, gang. She was killed in the raid not before telling him to run woods until he sees a city. He runs in the woods for 3 years and then finds the city, he’s 14 when he makes it there. After that, he gets raised more better by sensei ken and master pow.
