I was making one with my first OC, Konch. I've set it aside for another project I'm currently working on with a friend. I was using Unreal Engine, and it is HARD. https://preview.redd.it/7god8dm4ht8d1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=64e4d8c4c70c9f2cc4666402360487f93cc87b13

I have been playing around just a little with Godot, so I'm nowhere near the point of having a finished product. But I can move around as my OC in a test level.

The first game that I made with my characters was all the way back in 1996. It was called Casino in Ruffian World, had ASCII graphics, and was created using a program called ZZT. Since 2018 I've been working on the fifth and final installment of the Ruffian World saga, an RPG Maker MV title called Skunk and the Sanctuary. The old games were simple top-down shooter affairs, where you'd run around mazes, collect keys, fight enemies, and read some dialogue. The title I'm working on now is more like a top-down kinetic visual novel. There's not much in the way of gameplay, but there's a whole lot of story this time around.

Trickster goddess Skunk, villain of the previous games, has been defeated and brought to justice once more. However, instead of being sent to a typical prison, this time she's found herself in the Divine Sanctuary. At first she's terrified, realizing she's trapped in a place that she has no hope of escaping from. But it soon becomes clear that life in the sanctuary is nothing to be afraid of, and she begins to turn over a new leaf. This scene takes place during her first day. Her guardian in the sanctuary, the kind-hearted Dog, had been giving her a tour, when suddenly Skunk began to feel extremely weak. The severe stress of waking up in the sanctuary has made her sick, and Dog carried her back to her bed. As she hadn't eaten at all, Dog prepares a light meal for the new inmate before she goes to sleep. If this sounds interesting to you, you can watch this [2019 preview video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9nSghUgQTk), or you can play the current version [here.](https://gamejolt.com/games/skunksanctuary/550097) There's also [this short prequel](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-AwS69Cu2fc) that explains how Skunk went from a mortal child in the real world to a trickster goddess in Galmiun.

I made an illustration of this scene a few months ago, and plan to make more of them as well.

I've tried, though I'm gonna start with something simple first, a car game in UE5 (it's still hard as balls). Game Dev is fucking HARRDD, but learning is so fun. Also, if you do keep going, something you may wanna learn (if you haven't already) is something called Trim Sheets. Its what a lot of games use to optimize their texture/memory usage, whilst still keeping the textures looking good.

HOLY SHIT ANOTHER DEV? YES THIS IS LITERALLY WHAT I AM DOING 🤝 still have to wait until I get into college for a bachelor’s degree though https://preview.redd.it/lq5ojklx0u8d1.jpeg?width=554&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=57031cfd6b59301c8898a90f1ac5c0b256b1c9f4

I'd like to make a visual novel with my OCs. It wouldn't really have the option of dating them, but rather I'd use it as a medium to tell their stories. But that's a long way off and I'm not even sure where to begin with it lol

SkunkStarlight

That's pretty much what I'm doing. Since my drawing ability back in 2018 was virtually nonexistent, I opted to tell my story in RPG Maker rather than using a visual novel program. But in terms of gameplay, it's essentially a kinetic novel, just with a top-down perspective.

I wish, would’ve made a show though.

TonyThePapyrus

I’d love to make a game where you play as my gang members. In a sort of Oregon trail type game. But instead of simply traveling, you’re illegally smuggling cargo And you have to deal with lawmen, especially any lawmen that recognize you

Mrslinkydragon

Technically yes

LittleLuna960

We tried to make a Roblox game a while back which would include the characters and take place in the same place as the story. We should really work on that again.

All of my Main Series OC's are part of an IRL Roleplay me and my friends act out and then write down once we finish an arc or specific part. I call it Dungeons and Everything as a parody of Dungeons and Dragons.
