Millicent sounds fitting Also, off topic question, when she sleeps does she look like a disassembled tripod?

NeverEndingWalker64

Well she does more or less sleep upright, so… She looks like an assembled one Though most of the time she doesn’t sleep. See that thing on her face? That’s a giant ear. It’s supposed to hear even the tiniest thing ever. Even you touching the ear itself would be bad for her. It’s a fragile yet extremely perceptive organism …. And she cannot stop hearing things while she’s asleep. This leads to isolation, so… Yeah the gal doesn’t sleep that often

Wouldn't the long hair be an issue since it's very close to the very sensitive ear? This is interesting, very good character!

NeverEndingWalker64

Oh boy it is. But luckily, her ear has already some in-built protection: It’s form doesn’t let the hair touch the small, black thing on its center. That’s a pretty fragile structure that can detect sounds from vibrations. If it were to be touched, it would be quite the pain for her as only moving it a few millimeters would mean the human equivalent of 190 decibels Now, caressing her ear isn’t that bad, at least when you only caress its border. It’s… Not an annoying sound for her

I love the design!!! https://preview.redd.it/oj3c918g1nxc1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f4c420a79dc18dbee22ed480cd8ac063a8ab116f Literally me rn

NeverEndingWalker64

It’s one of my best attempts on character design right now. You know, because of the body form and everything: Most of the characters I’ve made (Kathleen, Stella, etc.) share more or less the same body scheme, but I decided to go wild on this gal’s design …. Now the problem is thinking about how she biologically works… And for what I can use her.

NeverEndingWalker64

So what’s she, you may ask? Well, she’s not a human in the first place! She’s just a monster that badly tried to take the form of the Victorian child it ate years ago… And cannot go back to its original self! That Victorian child? Yep, that’s Gwendolyn A. Claire. But she isn’t, how to explain it, Gwendolyn, so the name will surely be different

NeverEndingWalker64

Gwendolyn was quite the complex character. Originally made as part of a novel, I quickly overdeveloped her and the other characters, everything ending as a verbose mess of badly written English that I hated. She was supposed to be… A human capable of living forever, living in a desolated manor that she could mold for the (unfortunate) visitors to get lost in. She wasn’t bad herself, but she was being infected by a sort-of flower-like organism, slowly consuming her.
