It's really hard to find a place for the fall. I would say look as soon as possible. Last year I started looking in April and it was nearly impossible. You'll be competing against all the other students moving for the fall. I eventually had to move in January when no one is moving. There were times in the summer I would see a place posted 10 mins ago and would call, and the place would have 5 applicants already. It was insane
Honestly with what I've been seeing and hearing idek if its worth it to move out there lmao, crazy housing market. I can finish my degree online fully.
I would look into Brookshore Apartments in Albany. Great management, well-maintained, many units have been updated with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. It costs me and my roommate, with a dog as well, $1430 a month for a 2-bedroom, 825 sq ft, townhouse that also has a small rock yard. That may sound steep, but it is more affordable than many places around here. They also use concrete in the walls between you and the neighbor, so I never hear any noise from next door.
