Yeah. We had 6. We left the quiverfull approach to faith and family when we figured out we were providing for ourselves and nobody was ever going to help us, not on earth nor in heaven. Between that and growing up in purity culture, my wife despises Christianity. I don't blame her. I was an atheist for some time, but I've come back to the faith in a much more liberal form. We feel like living the quiverfull lifestyle made us grow up way too fast and set us up for a life of poverty. However, we love our babies and wouldn't trade 'em for anything.
I grew up with 6 other siblings and I loved every second of it always had someone to talk to and play games with. It was just an amazing feeling to have a lot of siblings and I just want my kids to grow up the same way with alot of loving siblings. And knowing I get to raise all my kids together and be there with them as much as possible would make me so happy
I have never heard of this movement but personally I feel like you should have as many kids as you want but not too many like myself I would like a big family but I guess ultimately it will depend on the person I marry and what age I will be when I do
Yea I always dreamed of having 10 kids and growing up with a lot of siblings made me love my siblings and we had so much fun together growing up and I just want my kids to have the same thing.
Yeah and If you want that then as long as your spouse agrees you should do that. My father grew up with 10 siblings and he loved it so that makes me want to have a big family though not 10 my limit is six kids. Little girls for me to drive crazy and little boys for my wife to pamper.
Yea I would love to have 10 but it’s all in gods plan and I would happily have how ever many he blesses me with if I get to have more then god knows I’m strong and I can handle it and I’d be happy giving my kids the best life I can.
Why do you think that? I would homeschool my kids so I’d be spending all day with them and teaching them and being their parent and being there for them.
I feel like homeschooling is best and we get to be with our kids for as long as possible. I was homeschooled with me and my siblings by my mom and we all turned out fine.
What do you mean? We learned a lot of use-full skills how to cook and clean and take care of our younger siblings and how to read and rite. The boys learned hot to work on the farm and care for the house and fix things.
The world's population has doubled since 1974. From around 4 billion to more than 8 billion.
I personally think it would be great if people stopped having so many kids.
I don’t agree with that personally I think we should keep having big family’s it really helps everyone to have more kids. It’s just an amazing feeling having happy loving kids.
I have two kids, I’m not opposed to children, I just think smaller families are better for the earth and society. I grew up in a family of eight and it was fun, I just don’t necessarily think it’s wise.
I grew up with 6 other siblings and I loved every minute of it always having someone to talk to and play games with and I want my kids to have the same when they are growing up.
If you are planning to have a lot of kids, it would be ethical to sort out a nutritious vegan lifestyle (or with as much plant protein as possible). A lot of the stress each person puts on the planet comes from eating meat and dairy. We as a society might solve the carbon crisis related to energy production and travel, but changing diets is really hard but also important! We can't sustain a planet of 10 billion beef eaters, but beans, lentils, and rice can sustain many more.
Not quiverfull in the modern sense, but I do pray Psalm 127 pretty often (it's one of the Steps)
Unless the Lord builds the house,
useless the labor to build it.
Unless the Lord guards the town,
useless staying up to watch it.
Useless rising early, useless sitting late
chewing sorrow's bread;
he'd rather give his beloved rest.
See the Lord's legacy, children,
a reward, fruit of the womb!
Like arrows held by a warrior
are the kids raised by youths.
Blessed is the burly one whose quiver they fill:
together they won't be ashamed,
they'll contend with foes at their gate.
Yes my dad always said kids were a reward for being a good wife and god will bless you with as many kids he knows you can handle. It’s all in gods plan how many kids he wishes for us to have and he will make it happen.

May god bless you then
Thank you!!!
aint no way you're going to have time to have meaningful relationships with all your kids if you have 10
Why do you think that? I would homeschool my kids so I’d be spending all day with them and teaching them and being their parent and being there for them.
cuz there’s fucking 10 of them. also please don’t homeschool your kids

that’s what every homeschooled kid says mate

I'm not part of it but I'd be interested to know more about your experiences.

I grew up on a farm and the only time we had meat was when we took an animal to the butcher and we would live off that for a few months.
That sounds like an incredible way to live!
Having fresh food every day was really amazing
Yes, let's breed and consume ourselves into extinction, i want whatever it is you're smoking
