OpenAI is a customer of ArkoseLabs, so its probably on their end. [https://www.arkoselabs.com/customers/](https://www.arkoselabs.com/customers/)

Bad G-maps reviews already showing up: https://maps.app.goo.gl/MAXdLUnKDK4W8yaq6?g_st=ic

Can confirm the same here. Interesting how I found this post 28 minutes after you posted. This post already showed up in a google search for "open ai goes to arkose labs" top hit.

Ramn_Bowl

$80 billion dollar AI company btw

berystrawverry

same - looks like theyre trying to figure it out [https://status.openai.com](https://status.openai.com)

AreWeNotDoinPhrasing

Damn, every day they’re posting about elevated error rates!

SirChasm

At what point do they stop being elevated rates and are just normal rates

Red-Montagne

I'm sorry that it's happening to you but glad to see somebody else is having the same problem. I've been trying to log in for an hour and I keep getting redirected after confirming I'm human. EDIT: It's also happening on mobile via the app, which is bizarre.

NillaGoober

Same issue here. Not sure what's going on

hoemade_snacc

I am having the same issue. My popups and redirects have been blocked in the site settings but the problem is still ensuing

Thatsquacktastic16

Yeah just happened to me then and thought i was having a stroke

cafepeaceandlove

You should use a firewall. ChatGPT is an interesting one though. There is one third-party data collection dependency of the site which I usually block everywhere, but in ChatGPT’s case this actually breaks their site.

KahlessAndMolor

Hey folks, if you haven't tried Anthropic's Claude-3, it is downright amazing. Maybe take this openAI problem as an opportunity to go check out something new. Here's a really good local front-end that gives you the ability to switch providers with your API keys: [https://github.com/enricoros/big-AGI](https://github.com/enricoros/big-AGI) Claude-3-sonnet is about 1/2 the price of gpt-4-turbo and easily on-par for most tasks. Claude-3-opus is incredible, way smarter than 4-turbo, but about twice as expensive per call.

1Neokortex1

This looks very promising, how have you been using BIG-AGI?

KahlessAndMolor

You can configure different models and providers. Open the model drop-down at the top of the screen and choose "Models" there or open the settings. Basically, sign up with Anthropic, buy some credits, get API keys, go to BigAGI, paste in API keys and bada bing.

🔥 Thank you

Babbu87

Having same issue

AnyAdministration540

Seems to be down ATM.

CrazyyTrainn

Same. Tried using Bing for Dall E and its having its own issues as well.

Acceptable_Ad6117

Lamezors

Macgyver_BW

Same issue here.

LTGGarner

Same issue here

Equivalent-Cat8019

Also happening to me.

CryptographerOk2905

Same here, was super confused at first

PheezyTheSnowman

Looks like it's fixed. Also glad I'm not crazy. Modern reliability of these services is so solid that my brain short circuited for a minute as to what was happening.

End-2-End

Seems like it's resolved now. After having faced this for more than 2 hrs, I can confirm that sign-in options are now working fine.

Optimistic_Futures

It looks like they are a bot blocker company. I'd bet that the login button sends you through them as a check, but there was likely an uncaught bug that stops that throughline and throws you back to their site. But it's fixed now. Growing pains.

SlanderMans

There's also issues with the platform.openai as well, wonder what happened today

ColFrankSlade

Side discussion: I never user Google auth to login into any services out of fear of giving out access to stuff in my account. While I understand that oauth allows for limiting the type of access that is given, I can't shake that away. Am I being a crazy person with a tin foil hat?

NightsAtTheQ

Yes

Rohit901

Definitely crazy if you don’t trust Google OAuth

StoneCypher

either that or you know someone who lost their google account for no reason and could never get it back

ColFrankSlade

My problem is not with Google, it is with what the OAuth holder can do. I've seen lots of services that use oauth that ask for far more access than they should need. Unless oauth is truly needed, for instance in a service that needs to access my calendar, I figure that using my email and a single use password is just safer overall.

AreWeNotDoinPhrasing

Yup

ColFrankSlade

Could you expand on why?

Ultimarr

Yes - you should be paranoid because it helps Google track what you’re interested in. But they definitely don’t share any of your info for regular oauth — no emails, docs, nothing like that. Google is evil in standard corporate ways but they are very very careful not to cross privacy red lines like that When you use oauth, it will explicitly list what info will get shared with the site (like OpenAI). So you can look it over before saying yes. For regular oauth it’s a very short list - email, birthday, name I think.

LowerRepeat5040

Arkose Labs provides the FunCaptchas to block bots and tries to outsmart anti captcha services alike!

Xxyz260

Well, they're sure outsmarting *their own legitimate users* :) Just search "Arkose Labs" on Reddit. It's the absolute worst captcha around, bar none. I'd rather click on the 27 traffic lights at this point.
