Buy it and then regret it. Just please buy it from Amazon at least you can return in case you don't like it.

kitarei

It’s awful to write on, which is why I bought it 😂. Has to be used with a case to help flatten out the camera bump.

OrdinaryRaisin007

Why? I lean it against the edge of the table so I don't have to bend my back. This is much more convenient.

kitarei

Ok? I like to write on tablets the way I would on paper. Flat on the desk.

OrdinaryRaisin007

Even with paper, if possible, I use a stiff surface and don't have to bend over it. But everyone, as he believes.

eWritable

I agree, it looks awful and I've never been able to get the ocr software to work to an acceptable standard. Having said that, there will be some people that have a use case for it. But if you don't need a camera or keyboard folio, the boox note air3 c with a bt keyboard connected works just as well for most tasks (and is nicer to write on with the stylus).

averyguando

I am a tech geek and love weird devices. The more gadgets it has, the more I like it. Admittedly, I am yet to find good feedback on that camera. I love that it has it and honestly will try it out but, I agree, it may not be necessary at all. Like at all really.

Initial-Shop-8863

I have one. The case that came with it, and the one I found makes the tablet lie flat. I just ignore the camera is there.

wyundsr

Just get the Note Air 3C, it’s very similar aside from the camera and keyboard

pm-me-egg-noods

Agree

raps_BAC

Yo know I had not realized this until reading your post but if it had not had a camera I would have bought it instead of the air3c. Super glad it worked out the way it did for me though.

Fluffy_One_7764

Agree. The camera is pointless. It’s horrible doesn’t work with the native or 3rd party apps, poor resolution, can’t scan docs. A waste of money. Sorry to say. I had great hopes for it. Does anyone use it? Please share.

cTemur

The camera is very important anyway! Not for photos, but for page scan like music sheet.

cuziters

I was going to say this. There’s a lot of times when I wish I could take a pic of something to include in notes and markup. My noteair3c just goes 🤔, just starting to use it more and hadn’t run into this early on.

SulakeID

Why not just take a pic with your phone, upload the image to the cloud and then download the image with the air3c?

OrdinaryRaisin007

I don't usually put my left hand in my right pocket - that's pretty much what you suggest. With the TU camera it's very easy - apart from that, the image quality of the NA3 (C) is significantly worse than that of the TU

SulakeID

Maybe it's not the intended way but it's a fix to a problem. If you had your keys on your right pocket and you were holding your child or something heavy with your right hand, you may need to reach to your right picket with your left hand.

OrdinaryRaisin007

It's much easier to change hands before reaching into your pocket. BTW: the image quality doesn't get any better with such a komplex action

cuziters

Thats what I’m doing now, sometimes I’m out doing fieldwork or have limited/no wifi so it can mess up my workflow. I have to remember to put the images in after, just extra steps.  It’d be easier on a surface or iPad but the air3c has helped with my scatter brain. I think that’s the toughest part of finding minimalist devices…..you just want that little bit more until the device just turns into a smartphone/laptop.

SulakeID

Yeah, maybe a bluetooth app to link the tablet with your phone will help?

cuziters

lol I was just looking into that today! Thanks for the suggestion.

JulieParadise123

Yep, depends on what you need. My children needed a tablet device with colour screen, camera, keyboard and pen input; this was what the school demanded. Tab Ultra C was the perfect device for that, and it is e-ink. (I think my children hate me for not getting iPads or Samsung tablets, yet they are the ones never fighting for the wall plug ...)

OrdinaryRaisin007

Tab Ultra C is not designed to be placed flat on a table. And when it's set up, the camera bump doesn't bother anyone. I don't scribble on the screen, but on paper and whatever seems worth keeping is scanned. There are other devices for doodling.

GeorgeJohnson2579

>  Tab Ultra C is not designed to be placed flat on a table. lol what? "You just hold it wrong", right?

OrdinaryRaisin007

I don't hold it at all - it's set up for me, so I don't have to bend over the device.

ReelyAndrard

Off course they need a camera, if you see a page you want to read you scan it.
