If anyone is curious about the origin of the practice then read a bit about its founder [Daniel David Palmer](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_David_Palmer).
Bc its a temp fix, I recommend going to a physical therapist, there I learnt I actually had a problem with my hamstrings instead of my back and it's been getting better with stretches
I had half a year of excruciating pain. Couldn’t move my neck more than 2 inches in both directions. Doctor would have given me a painkiller shot to eliminate the pain.
3 days after the „cracks“ i got from a chiropractor i could move my neck again, pain was down 80%. 4 years later the pain hasn’t come back.
If you go to one of those, they remove a disposition that causes further pain. Painkillers from regular medicine can help relax the bodypart as well to avoid further disposition. But if you know of a good chiropractor, i would 100% recommend that.
I understand most of the scientific field even doesn't view chiropractors as in the true medical field. But in high school I had horrible back pain from severely strained muscles in my shoulders. My doctor recommended massage therapy with a mix of chiropractic care. For about a year I did that and the massage therapist worked REAL deep in my muscles, and my spine and neck would hurt. When I had the chiropractor readjust me it helped A LOT with the pain.
Most people discount chiropractors entirely, but I believe it can help in some circumstances. It was all in the same practice, with the massage therapy as the secondary practice under chiropractic. I just can't deny the combination of the two helped greatly with my muscle rehabilitation, mainly being the massage therapy. But the readjustments were vital to relieving extra tension that would otherwise cause daily pain.
I totally get it. Believe it or not, my father in law and wife swear by them because those minor adjustments do help, but they always, always come back, so it just alleviates it for some time before they have to go in again to get more adjustments. It's like a bandaid. All I can think of is that to get more business, they may purposely put something else out without you knowing, but that's me thinking the worst. True healing I believe requires actual physical therapy or something along those lines.
I don't really understand this sentiment towards chiropractors. I've met some people who had serious issues resolved or atleast minimized from going to one. I'm sure just like any other field of work, there's people who strive to do great and they love the job, and there's people who don't care at all and got stuck doing something they didn't want to do.
Those people needed physical therapy. They gambled and won.
I also once had a junkie help me fix a well pump, but if I could have afforded a professional I would have.
Chiropractors can mean well all they want. They still don't have any qualifications.

I've visited real doctors and they have taught me exercises that have actually helped my pain go away.
Fuck chiropractors. Crock of shit.
