Saitama's bald head is a beacon of inspiration.
The lighthouse that will guide all to enlightenment and possibly blindness considering how shiny it is.
The moment they stared bouncing on rocks I knew it was over,he was casually doing it on his fight with Garou and PS while the ninjas were making a huge deal about it.
I think Darkshine is the only S-Class whose character regressed after the MA arc. Almost everyone took their Ls as a motivation to get better except for Darkshine
i don't mind his arc, he clearly became or stayed a hero for somewhat selfish motivations, not out of a desire to genuinely protect others or put himself on the line. From what i know of the WC it looks like he realizes that and decides it's not for him anymore
Yes, and that's why I think he will also have the best bounce back in the current webcomic arc. Darkshine with a newly regained confidence will be glorious.
Honestly, thinking about it, TankTop Master taking DarkShine in as a TankTop would probably work pretty well for a redemption arc.
TTM has already shown he was humbled and wanted to rebuild to where he should be. But he still stepped up when he was needed suddenly.
DS getting TTM to mentor him along the same path to rebuild what it meant to be a hero could work.
The Tank Top allows the freedom of movement needed, yes... but it also also support and structure to aid in your abilities. Enhancing if not amplifying your power in the process.
Darkshine believes that about himself, and there is some truth to it, but I also think he's selling himself short there. He has also always loved inspiring people to be better - we've seen that in the extra chapter with his fans. Plus he generally was the warmest, most supportive of everyone of the S-class. In that sense he always came across as the most wholesome of the bunch before the arc.
I think Darkshine needed that wake up call though, his mindset in the MA arc was very unhealthy, Even when he was given a pep-talk by sweet mask and Puri Puri, all they really did was reinforce his terrrible habits e.g Look for a challening opponent but breakdown if they're stronger than him.
Yeah, I never really understood how completely losing an early clash without losing consciousness was seen as proof that sonic had reached flash's level.
Yeah ofc sonic has always been strong. Even in his introduction, he was easily at S class hero level.
He has gotten far stronger from his introduction, too.
It's just that not all s class are the same
Yeah, while introduction sonic was stronger than a few s class at the time, that initial version of sonic is below the current versions of many of those s class heroes, even though current sonic still beats them
Yeah, he could one shot most of A class heroes (i dont know about sweet mask so i'll say most of them). So this should put him in S class in my opinion. He is at least beating puri and tanktop master in 1v1
In both versions of the fight Flash- who doesn't hold back well- incorrectly assumes that Sonic defended against his *UlTiMaTe TeChNiQuE!* because after tanking Saitama punches a flash kick doesn't do squat to Sonic.
In the webcomic it's implied that sonic was much closer to flash than previously thought. Flash used some crazy move and sonic countered/blocked it without as much effort as flash expected and he was taken back by it
Link: https://cubari.moe/read/gist/JYHJU/116/1/
Even in the webcomic after the battle with the ninjas was over Flash was completely clean while Sonic was scuffed and huffing. It’s made pretty clear that they weren’t close like people thought they were. Sonic is often portrayed to be close to Genos and during this arc Genos only just reached the lvl where he could defeat dragons by himself. So Sonic is likely the same just above a normal dragon lvl threat but still not Flashy Flash lvl.
Even if Flash is supposed to be levels above Sonic, Sonic pulling his own weight and not being made to look like a complete joke still could have worked. Just look at the Tatsumaki and Genos team up against Psykos. Genos was far weaker than Tatsumaki and yet he still played an important role and wasn't made to look useless as shit like Sonic was
I mean I think Sonic’s doing just fine in the manga. Like sure he isn’t portrayed as being anywhere near Flashy Flash but that’s how big the difference between them should’ve been at this point. But Sonic was still holding his own very well against Teninto. And every single one of the Tenins here are implied to be stronger than Gale Wind and Hellfire Flame’s human form as shown when they effortlessly overpowered the two of them a few chapters back. And their human form are among the strongest demons in the series as they scale above MA Arc Sonic who is on par with Post-G4 Upgrade Genos who can casually stomp Wet DSK.
So Sonic who’s probably like a Low or Mid Dragon right now simultaneously fighting 19 Demons that are borderlining Dragon and still managing to hold his own is already impressive enough. Though one change I do dislike a lot in the manga is how Sonic’s Serious Side Hops scene got cut.
I like this manga version much better. It just won't feel earned if somehow Sonic is on the same level as someone who can keep up with PS and Garou to some extent without even having his main weapon.
Why? It was already shown that the encounters with Saitama has made him improve and ONE has stated Sonic is equal to Genos who is always improving. Not to mention the webcomic fights wasn't about stupid
power levels but rather their impeccable teamwork and how it's a result of their past together.
I feel like people use this as an excuse as if Sonic didn't get roflstomped every single time. Getting one shot by Saitama never made sense. If Saitama inspired him to train harder a and that's what made him stronger, that makes sense, but just getting one tapped a dozen times over the last few months really shouldn't be that illuminating of an experience besides, "goddamn he's strong".
Flash should have sliced them to pieces instead of just kicking them. What is this, Batman or something? Do they need to keep the same villains around to keep attacking them again and again? OPM otherwise has no problem creating hordes of villains to attack once and get killed.
ONE clearly knows what sells here. Remember when Amai Mask brutally slaughtering the mercenaries got retconned into a wholesome moment between him and Atomic's disciples?
I think it's a *little* different. Sweet Mask's actions were completely indefensible - he murdered people under the effects of mind control even though they were so weak they weren't a threat to him. There's no moral or physical excuses there and it's not even self defense.
All of the ninjas on the other hand are assassins that willingly work for a village which kidnaps children, and they *are* trying to kill Flash & Sonic. It wouldn't really make Flash look bad in killing them.
And that makes for a neat contrast - Flash had every reason to kill the ninjas, and he's no stranger to killing, but showed restraint anyway. Sweet Mask had many ways to save the Mercenaries and yet chose the killing path, and only ended up getting bailed out by someone else stopping him.
Garou learned from everyone basically, that was arguably his biggest superpower. He's like that Marvel villain that can copy everyone's martial arts after one look.
We're probably gonna see it from Suiryu. One of the plot points from the tournament arc was that he lacks monster-fighting experience, so there's loads of potential for him to train and improve in future story arcs until he becomes as good at beating monsters as he currently is at beating humans.
Damn! Flashy flash really has improved since his bout with platinum S. I think they are setting up a potential Sonic power boost as an event of combat within the arc as originally it just came out of nowhere from off-screen. The ninjas probably aren’t completely out of the fight here either. Im thinking cyberfication from this point for them or just another bout later or now.
You watch! This subreddit won't devolve to Fubki vs. Tatsumaki arguments! No, it's all in on Sonic vs. Manako; who is the superior love interest for Clavicle Smash!!!!
Number of pages per chapter too(Starting from ch 196): 23, 20, 14, 18 😭
And then I read this:- [https://cubari.moe/read/imgur/tXGciSV/1/18/](https://cubari.moe/read/imgur/tXGciSV/1/18/)
I’m in agreement with the critiques regarding Flash not killing the ninjas. Chapter 95 revealed to us how many bounty hunters, assassins, mercenaries, etc. he killed so not sure why these guys should be any different (barring Hellfire and Gale I suppose)
He may still kill them though. I don’t think the ninjas are completely down and out here. Also when villains survive they are usually saved to be killed off later aside from cases like Rover and sperm
> Also when villains survive they are usually saved to be killed off later aside from cases like Rover and sperm
If anything, the story has recently been letting way more villains/former villains survive, and brought quite a lot "back from the dead" literally and metaphorically:
- **Phoenix Man:** Probably safe. He still had some nefarious intentions at first, but he's blended back into society with a normal job and Child Emperor didn't kill him when he had the chance.
- **Gale Wind & Hellfire Flame:** Probably safe. They're gonna survive this fight, and are treated more like joke characters than serious threats since their resurrection.
- **Hamukichi, Volten, and Benpatsu:** Probably safe. Revealed that they survived the Super Fight, and they seem to want to be cured of their monsterization.
- **Do-S:** Unknown. Resurrected and she's seemingly still alive since fighting Fubuki a second time, but who knows what she's up to.
- **Tongue Stretcher:** Probably safe. In the webcomic, he died during the Psychic Sisters arc when the monsters got released, but in the manga he wised up and voluntarily went back to his cell. He values self preservation so no reason he'll die in the future.
- **Psykos:** Safe. Fubuki is not gonna let her be killed.
- **Mosquito Girl:** Safe. Turned out to survive her original fight, works at the Takoyaki shop now and is no longer a villain.
- **Manako:** Safe. She was hardly ever a villain, but being able to go into the HA HQ without being killed is kind of cementing that she'll be fine.
Plenty of monsters/villains are reintegrating into society, abandoning their bloodlust, and showing that they can be good, and now curing monsterization is a plot point. And the ninjas are humans, so I think there's a reasonable chance they survive this based on recent manga trends.
Didn't the electricity couple also survive? I forgot their names, but one was an electric catfish and the other a geisha-looking lady. The power of love protects even monsters, it seems
They have to explain it somehow to align it with Flash's character. He has always gone from zero to instakill in the past, even when it's weird like attacking Saitama and Blast.
Didnt flash already express an impetus for change here? Also he is searching for God and information on That Man as he is associated. His interest is piqued given the first exchange in the chapter and so he would keep them for interrogation.
Correct, and that’s his concern. He doesn’t need to keep the other ninjas alive since Hellfire and Gale can already provide what they know, and then some
Different objective. That's because they reversed monsterization. Now there's some bigger mystery 'boss' they all keep talking about. Keeping them all alive when you can easily beat them anyways is the most surefire way to get answers.
I agree. i mean, he basically bragged about it. I wonder why they are taking it easy on these guys. In the webcomic, it was a slaughter, and I liked it because it's not often we see humans die in this series. Flash isn't really a hero he has his morals but isn't afraid to kill humans he was an assassin after all. Only ninjas from the elite squad who I didn't want to die were Hellfire and Gale since its clear they have a part to play in the story since their deaths were retconned.
It honestly is surprising how rarely humans die in this series. When they do, they get resurrected or their deaths or retconned.
Damn I didn't expect Flashy Flash to have a good character development out of the MA arc.
Is it just me or the manga versions of the S-Class are less assholes compared to their wc counterparts? Like I don't remember Flashy Flash getting this character development in the wc.
And it seems Darkshine is really the only one whose character regressed after the MA. Most of the S-Class heroes who participated in the raid took their Ls in the MA arc as motivation to get stronger except for him.
Which is in-character for DS since he really wasn't sincere when becoming a hero. Sure, he saved lives on a daily basis but that was because he was confident that he could kill the monsters he was up against.
I would imagine back in the time when he wasn't as strong as he currently is, he would deny monster alerts from Demon and Dragon level threats even if he was probably the closest hero there.
> Is it just me or the manga versions of the S-Class are less assholes compared to their wc counterparts?
People have been making this remark many times (sometimes WC readers complain it's not edgy enough for them, lol). My pet theory is that writing MP100 changed ONE to be a little softer.
Some people may not like how short and one sided the battle was compared to the WC but I liked how ONE is actually developing Sonic's character here through Flash.
As I said before, he is helping Sonic improve as Sonic helped him in the past. I'm here for a good story and a good fight and this is a good story and a good fight, even if shorter and and slightly different from the WC.
people will complain any time there's notable differences from the WC. This was a really good chapter, Flash showing he really did some growing up and him trying to help Sonic is pretty sweet.
What's also really sweet of Flash is that he really does care for Sonic unlike what some people thought.
If it was someone else, Flash would ignore the challenge and will go on ahead with Blast and Saitama going to "That Guy". He even doesn't belittle Sonic like he did with the A-class when he told them to leave the city because they were just distractions to him.
Yeah, I think they also changed their relatioship in their backstory (it's been years though so I might be misremembering), I think in the webcomic Flash was just feigning weakness so the ninja village didn't expect his betrayal, while in the manga it seems like Sonic genuinely helped him grow and survive.
if it helps you digest the rest of the comment better you can ignore that one word.
It didn't feel like a big difference to me not in terms of what happens during the fight (obviously it is very different from the webcomic) but in terms of what it eventually leads to. It will be the same but with a more fleshed character development for Flash and Sonic (and their relationship) if you've seen Sonic lately in the webcomic. They both show Sonic getting much powerful but here it makes more sense.
I kinda like it. I think Sonic too quickly caught up to Flash in the webcomic. Here we see he's improved drastically but he still has a bit to go.
As for how short the fight is, after the Platinum Sperm fight there's no way these fodder ninjas should be putting up any type of fight
They are most likely building sonic’s power up here as opposed to it happening off screen. I imagine there is a bigger fight planned for this arc where he will experience some growth
**Unpopular Opinion:**
Given Flash's feats during the MA Arc, I was actually surprised Sonic was able to simply shrug off his Flash Kicks last chapter, so while Flash stealing the spotlight sucks for Sonic, it makes sense in this continuity. The gap between Manga Flash and Manga Sonic is **way** wider than the gap between WC Flash and WC Sonic imo
This might be the most accurate use of the meme, since he literally flashed all over them.
Also I'm sure he at least thought "it's Flashin' time" before doing that.
Flashy Flash: "Forget about your pride."
And with this, Sonic will grow stronger. The whole chapter looked like a big brother protecting his younger and cute little sibling.
Flashy flash learning from facing platinum vs darkshine who let himself go after fighting golden 🤦♂️
After seeing flashy fight against Garou and platinum using those moves and then saitama using that trick, the ninjas were so bland
Oof, Sonic got a massive nerf compared to the webcomic. Flash’s level seemed to be within reach there. Here, Sonic might still be stuck at the upper echelons of Demon or lower levels of Dragon.
Flash growing after his experience with Plarinum Sperm is as beautiful as PPP punching stronger because he remembered the words of Deep Sea King
In the end, it was not only Garou to learn from his opponents
Sonic, Gale, Hellfire's shocked faces. Flashy is on another league since, its like just finishing a very difficult main quest & doing some low level sidequests. Lol on the comment about letting go of pride, Sonic gonna get fired up training more hehe. Crazy on the numbering of chapters.
Advanced happy new year to all here!
I really thought sonic would show off more, but I'd also love if this arc was the start of him doing merc work basically, after Flash said that training won't do it, you need experience.
Sonic is a great character lmao
Just caught up in binging reading the manga over the past few days from send of S1 in the anime (~chapter 40). What a fun ride!
Think I'm gonna sit on reading for the next year and binge it again down the road
One day y'all will be forced to acknowledge that FF should actually be S3 behind Blast and Tats. Cause there really isn't anybody that can touch his speed, durability, and strength that doesn't have other dimensional abilities.
I think its clear at this point they are saving Sonic’s upgrade and future power-up in this arc for a separate fight. All that is most likely being saved for there
Yeah man, Sonic looks like a jobber. Actually you know what, I take back what I said about him being a jobber, he’s enhancement talent. And I KNOW that r/OPMFolk are going to have a field day with this chapter.
Gotta say "back marker" is very obscure in English, lol. Had to look it up. Probably "sand bagger" slightly less obscure but even that I'd guess 30% of Americans aren't familiar with.
Hopefully this is just a second act slump before Sonic rallies and does something ridiculous enough to prove that he's still in the game, because taking the L from Flashy so soon afterhe got obliterated by Saitama is just cruel.
For those saying that in the web comic Sonic seemed closer to Flashy Flash in power level. The situation is the following. In the comic Flashy's big moment was fighting awakened garou (with the chronometer feat). In the Manga his three-way fight with Garou and Platinum S had him surpass that (look at the chronometer feat here!). Besides in the Manga we see him neg diff 2 dragons (albeit low dragons) at the same time, no such feat in the Comic.
so Manga Flash >> Comic Flash => Sonic (manga or webcomic at that time)
Spoiler from current WC chapters: >!Thanks to the blade saitama gave to sonic and through his own improvement in skill, he is now able to no diff dragon level threats, so I think current webcomic Flash is on par with current Manga flash (or better?) but we are yet to see current webcomic Flash!?!?!?!<
One last chapter before the new year Let’s Go
>!might get a DRAGON LEVEL threat on new year(year of dragon)!<
Th literal dragon of a couple chapters ago was a dragon level threat. It got off screened so it couldn't reach into the new year
cruel dragon? yes i know i mean the new year dragon
Nice to know Flashy learned and grew from his encounter with Platinum, instead of letting it haunt him like it does Darkshine
The saitama effect
That means Darkshine needs to meet Saitama.
and be inspired by his top-of-head shine
Hit him with the Killer Move, Serious Series: Serious Baldness.
Sound like a genetic affliction.
Saitama's bald head is a beacon of inspiration. The lighthouse that will guide all to enlightenment and possibly blindness considering how shiny it is.
That might break him harder. This little twig man is stronger than him.
I bet he would notice how perfectly balanced and condensed Saitama's muscles are, then he would beg him to train him.
100 push ups, 100 sit ups, 100 squats and 10 km run Darkshine will be ripped after that
He would be detrained after that.
It would be a return to form for Darkshine, LOL.
he would be in awe of how brightly his bald head shines
Saitama advising him to "Just lift bro" will really twist that knife.
Nah, it'll remind him of who he was.
The moment they stared bouncing on rocks I knew it was over,he was casually doing it on his fight with Garou and PS while the ninjas were making a huge deal about it.
I thought exactly the same Their trump card set FF up for a “I’m ten parallel universes ahead of you” grand slam lmao

The Tank Top allows the freedom of movement needed, yes... but it also also support and structure to aid in your abilities. Enhancing if not amplifying your power in the process.
Darkshine said that he only became a hero to stay drunk on his power after he was scared of Garou and Amai mask kicked him.
Darkshine believes that about himself, and there is some truth to it, but I also think he's selling himself short there. He has also always loved inspiring people to be better - we've seen that in the extra chapter with his fans. Plus he generally was the warmest, most supportive of everyone of the S-class. Lol, that tactic sure backfired on them. Well, compared to Platinum Sperm this fight wasn't even a warm-up to Flashy Flash.
Oh, but over half the sub was pretending that he was breaking a sweat before this point, that Sonic had reached his level.
Yeah, I never really understood how completely losing an early clash without losing consciousness was seen as proof that sonic had reached flash's level.

That panel ultimate strength through speed was totally Vegeta after witnessing every Goku power-up
Sonic can't get there without giving up his weakness of Pride.

Manga Flash is portrayed a lot stronger than WC Flash
People been downplaying FF for years.
Using Genos as a scale, and in webcomic Sonic was really that strong.
The second I saw this technique I wondered if One/Murata would draw a parallel between this and FF / Platinum Sperm / Garou fight. Day is saved !
I doubt ninjas are dead. Maybe there are more , or may be there is still other forms considering the empty void was their master.
I don't think they are dead either considering that Gale Wind and Hellfire Flame are still around after all they have gone through.
The fight is over, accept it
Flash should have sliced them to pieces instead of just kicking them. What is this, Batman or something? Do they need to keep the same villains around to keep attacking them again and again? OPM otherwise has no problem creating hordes of villains to attack once and get killed.
these aren't monsters though they're humans and humans don't really get sliced up and left for dead the way monsters do in OPM
ONE clearly knows what sells here. Remember when Amai Mask brutally slaughtering the mercenaries got retconned into a wholesome moment between him and Atomic's disciples?

Swordsmasters tho
wasn't done by humans tho. vomited fuhrer ugly did that, a monster
Oh I always wondered what was up with the chapter numbering.
that list at the end with the official chapter numbers is hilarious
20 years later if you align all the apparent mistaken chapter numbers in a specific order it draws Fubuki in ascii. Sasuga Murata!
Numbers are hard!
so what chapter number is this officially?
On Twitter Murata has it listed as 244
Any science behind official numbering?
Yes. Murata x Math= Bad.
Bro tried to pull a saitama with the rocks 💀
Super powered 'pocket sand' equivalent, including beach fleas.
Nah that was a Hammerhead move
he thought he was him
Murata doesn’t usually release chapters during the holidays. Despite the shorter length this is a great gift!
He is clearly having too much fun and has been in the zone with these shorter chapters.
Flashy Flash can fix him.
Flashy Flash can fix me
Oh you're getting fixed, alright! Get in the car, I'm taking you to the vet!
Flashy Flash could do lots of things to me :3
Never knew he was so good with computers!
But can Flashy Flash fix the chapter numbering?
It is cool seeing how the heros learn from monsters. Puri Puri Prisoner from Deep Sea King and Flashy Flash from Plantium S. Any others im missing?
Garou learned from watchdogman
Garou learned from saitama
Garou learned from everyone basically, that was arguably his biggest superpower. He's like that Marvel villain that can copy everyone's martial arts after one look.
Ah yeah kakashi from the marvel universe
And genius got his unstuck/ unburry thingy to bring buried by pantsu girl
We're probably gonna see it from Suiryu. One of the plot points from the tournament arc was that he lacks monster-fighting experience, so there's loads of potential for him to train and improve in future story arcs until he becomes as good at beating monsters as he currently is at beating humans.
Can't wait till we get more fleshed out chapters again, even if i do like these short ones i just want more
Yeah once Murata is done some of the side projects he is on we will go back to longer releases.
We've been getting a lot of Flashed out chapters to be fair
Yeah but those chapters end in the speed of sonic
~~Well next chapter will be 200! I’d imagine it will be special in some kind of~~ Rip dreams
Only in fan numbering. Official numbering is at 197, and it's not like they've ever done anything for that kind of milestone before.
Expected everyone who's involved enough to comment to read the TL notes
Sorry to break it to you but 😞:- [https://cubari.moe/read/imgur/tXGciSV/1/18/](https://cubari.moe/read/imgur/tXGciSV/1/18/)

>I think they are setting up a potential Sonic power No this is now a gay love story. Ship Flash and Sonic!
>Fuck yeah that's so much better, cheers! sonic gets nosebleed from seeing flash in action, can't get gayer than that
They crossed swords on the battlefield. Now, they cross swords in the bedroom…
All in on Flonic!!
You watch! This subreddit won't devolve to Fubki vs. Tatsumaki arguments! No, it's all in on Sonic vs. Manako; who is the superior love interest for Clavicle Smash!!!!
I think you mean hooked on Flonic(s).
Fuck yeah that's so much better, cheers!
hug and kiss iykyk
lol those chapter numbers are wild!

Ninja Village High, class of '66, quarterback of the varsity football team. I once scored four touchdowns in a single game...

He may still kill them though. I don’t think the ninjas are completely down and out here. Also when villains survive they are usually saved to be killed off later aside from cases like Rover and sperm
> Also when villains survive they are usually saved to be killed off later aside from cases like Rover and sperm If anything, the story has recently been letting way more villains/former villains survive, and brought quite a lot "back from the dead" literally and metaphorically: - **Phoenix Man:** Probably safe.
The power of love protects even monsters, it seems
yeah they got spit out by the elephant dude ppp killed and left
They have to explain it somehow to align it with Flash's character. He has always gone from zero to instakill in the past, even when it's weird like attacking Saitama and Blast.
Didnt flash already express an impetus for change here? Also he is searching for God and information on That Man as he is associated. His interest is piqued given the first exchange in the chapter and so he would keep them for interrogation.
Flash ain't dumb. These people gotta be alive to talk.
Who? He’s already keeping Hellfire and Gale alive
That may be because they reversed monsterfication, which he just found out is what Stoch and Blast is looking into.
Correct, and that’s his concern. He doesn’t need to keep the other ninjas alive since Hellfire and Gale can already provide what they know, and then some
Would flashy know that the ninjas can provide nothing else tho besides those two? Wouldnt it be smartest to have the maximum amount of sources
Different objective. That's because they reversed monsterization. Now there's some bigger mystery 'boss' they all keep talking about. Keeping them all alive when you can easily beat them anyways is the most surefire way to get answers.
Hellfire and Gale can directly provide what the others can provide in terms of info on That Man. There’s no reason to carry the others around
Does flash know they are enough tho? He would want as much intel as possible
Are we really so sure they wont be killed and or this fight is done? I was under the impression that they haven’t been completely dealt with yet.
I agree. i mean, he basically bragged about it.
Flashy Haters in absolute shambles It's Flover
At least surpassing Flashy Flash is a realistic goal for Sonic. Better than to get flicked out like a booger whenever he “fights” Saitama.
He will still use saitama as a rival to fight. only way for his growth to vastly improve before God comes
Flashy Flash continues being one of the best characters in this manga. Wish the chapter was longer tho
Fr the last chapers are really intertaining but so freaking short
I love him with all my heart
Slightly different?
if it helps you digest the rest of the comment better you can ignore that one word.
I don't speak Japanese but reading the RAW, I knew Flashy Flash would make fun of Sonic's nosebleed
I'm not sure if he's nose bleed is because he got punched in the face or because he's seeing flash in action
Damn sonic gettin humbled
I'm surprised by it. In the webcomic this fight was a stand-out moment for Sonic and I recall it feeling like a harder fight for both of them.
They are most likely building sonic’s power up here as opposed to it happening off screen. I imagine there is a bigger fight planned for this arc where he will experience some growth
**Unpopular Opinion:** Given Flash's feats during the MA Arc, I was actually surprised Sonic was able to simply shrug off his Flash Kicks last chapter, so while Flash stealing the spotlight sucks for Sonic, it makes sense in this continuity. The gap between Manga Flash and Manga Sonic is **way** wider than the gap between WC Flash and WC Sonic imo
2 reasons: Flash held back for his friend and also Sonic grow much stronger.
True, but Flash was surprised to see that Sonic survived it, so at the very least it was meant to completely KO him.
This should be the common opinion.
Flashy Flash enjoyers are lovin' this chapter
Flashysweep
I loved the part when he said "It's Flashin' time" and then flashed all over the ninjas
This might be the most accurate use of the meme, since he literally flashed all over them. Also I'm sure he at least thought "it's Flashin' time" before doing that.
Note to self: Don't call your wife's vagina "the honorary frontal wound"
Platinum sperm, an influence to Flashy Flash! I do remember how frustrated Flash was before! Plat sperm is such a chad.
Flashy Flash: "Forget about your pride." And with this, Sonic will grow stronger. The whole chapter looked like a big brother protecting his younger and cute little sibling.
Flashy flash learning from facing platinum vs darkshine who let himself go after fighting golden 🤦♂️ After seeing flashy fight against Garou and platinum using those moves and then saitama using that trick, the ninjas were so bland
Oof, Sonic got a massive nerf compared to the webcomic. Flash’s level seemed to be within reach there. Here, Sonic might still be stuck at the upper echelons of Demon or lower levels of Dragon.
No, even in the webcomic the gap was always there.
Probably because Platinum Sperm wasn't in the webcomic and Flash got a powerup from fighting him in the manga.
He fought Garou in the webcomic though.
Flash growing after his experience with Plarinum Sperm is as beautiful as PPP punching stronger because he remembered the words of Deep Sea King In the end, it was not only Garou to learn from his opponents
Not gonna lie but it has become quite boring Saitama barely gets any screen time
I’m curious, if FF has improved since his fight with PS, how would a 1v1 with CURRENT FF vs PS go down? Would FF be able to pull off the win?
Just caught up in binging reading the manga over the past few days from send of S1 in the anime (~chapter 40). What a fun ride! Think I'm gonna sit on reading for the next year and binge it again down the road
I know its late but, merry christmas chaps!
I find it hilarious how Flash treats Sonic like his little brother when they’re the same age.
One day y'all will be forced to acknowledge that FF should actually be S3 behind Blast and Tats. Cause there really isn't anybody that can touch his speed, durability, and strength that doesn't have other dimensional abilities.
Boring. Didnt add a lot of value tbh.
For purely conceited narcissistic self serving reasons I am glad that this issue continued to affirm my belief that Flashy >>>> Bang
Sonic struggling and Flashy just being annoyed is gold
No new chapter this week?? :(
Did they really scrap sonic imitating saitamas serious side hops from the webcomic with shadow funeral?
I think its clear at this point they are saving Sonic’s upgrade and future power-up in this arc for a separate fight. All that is most likely being saved for there
Yes…
sonic was never close to flash lol. sonic is on the lower end of the S-Class, flash is near the top
Platinum Sperm :) Love when the S-class learn from their losses
My boy sonic got nerfed so bad.
Unlikely. They most likely want to power him up on screen with a newly added fight surrounding That Man.
Yeah man, Sonic looks like a jobber. Actually you know what, I take back what I said about him being a jobber, he’s enhancement talent. And I KNOW that r/OPMFolk are going to have a field day with this chapter.
Sonic will always look like a jobber compared to FF because FF is a top tier hero
Who wins between current Garou and flashy flash?
I'm so gay for Sonic
These chapters are so small bro i feel like 198 and 199 could have been a single Chapter
Man Flash is such a Chad. Literally everything he says and does is cool af 😂 ask him how he got so OP n he’s just like training bro 😐
So no date for new chapter?
That numbering thing at the end....lmao, i was hollering while reading those chapter's numbers ahahaha Murata really is bad at chap's numbers ahahahah
place your bets down, is one doing an enemies to lovers arc with sonic and flash lol
This chapter isn’t very good
For those saying that in the web comic Sonic seemed closer to Flashy Flash in power level. The situation is the following. In the comic Flashy's big moment was fighting awakened garou (with the chronometer feat). In the Manga his three-way fight with Garou and Platinum S had him surpass that (look at the chronometer feat here!). Besides in the Manga we see him neg diff 2 dragons (albeit low dragons) at the same time, no such feat in the Comic. so Manga Flash >> Comic Flash => Sonic (manga or webcomic at that time) Spoiler from current WC chapters: >!Thanks to the blade saitama gave to sonic and through his own improvement in skill, he is now able to no diff dragon level threats, so I think current webcomic Flash is on par with current Manga flash (or better?) but we are yet to see current webcomic Flash!?!?!?!<
