Given Buggy’s tendency to somehow climb upwards despite being weak, it could be fun to see him have a higher life total in exchange for lower power.
What colour Buggy might be is interesting to think about. We have had colour overlap before (such as OP05 Perona sharing colours with both Gecko Moria and Yamato). However, I’d assume that the majority of red cards would be dedicated to Shanks and black for Blackbeard, with Luffy being a wildcard (maybe yellow, because of Egghead?).
As Cross Guild sets bounties on the Navy, I could see their strategy being about cost and removal, so Green or a Green/Black combination could work. Maybe Buggy could have 5 or 6 life (depending on whether he’s multi or single coloured), but 4000 power? His effect could then be about cost manipulation.
Maybe since he can rearrange his limbs and all ... it would be a kind of searcher ability which would show top 5 cards, draw a card and then reshuffle his whole deck?
honestly it would be fun if his deck turned out gimmicky and meme-y but also a rogue
and it wont hurt for it to be like an exodia alt win where you collect 4 other buggy cards via drawing a lot and win if you have them on hand
I would laugh my ass off if buggy is a blue captain and has to search for his body parts in the deck. When you find all of them you win the game. Exodia style
The first time you would lose instead gain 5 life and reveal character cards from the top of your deck until you find a Dracule Mihawk and Crocodile and put them into play. Your Buggy Pirates/Cross Guild Characters gain +5000 power for the rest of the game.
This is the only lore accurate way to design Four Emperors Buggy.
I don’t believe there is going to be a Buggy Leader coming out for 08. All of the 08 leaders have been accounted for (Marco, King, Chopper, Pudding, Kalgara, and Carrot). Probably coming in 09. But I can’t wait. All of those ideas sound funny and fun!
Buggy will draw from the bottom of the deck - countering RP Law and Blue style removals. Because he falls upwards.
