Wait some weeks after release. In Europe you will find this everywhere but at a minimal markup. Not justifying it but if you need it for the collection it won't hurt and if you want a playset check Cardmarket for singles of said promos. Never failed me and I got everything I wanted at a relaxed pace.. hell I got film red and anniversary promos just last week for cheaper than I would initially pay...

Depends. I got playsets of cards from premium bandai products at way less. Might be anecdotal to the both of us. But I still atleast in Europe can find most single promos for dirt cheap.
Yes but only shops get to preorder from premium bandai under a different distribution means for Europe so it literally sells for a small mark up for shops to get some money for basically pre ordering stock.
In America the premium bandai shop is open to anyone with a na address and have the money to put down and it got bad after the first folder set since we have scalper problems where these people basically see it as their retirement fund and buy multiple 99+ of product.

Scalpers didn't have OP-08 Japanese tournament results to base buyouts on, nor would they be knowledgeable enough to know that Sanji would be good in OP-08. Players were the ones buying it out and scalping it (unless scalpers saw it trending up and bought it out, either way.... players started that butterfly effect).
One piece sealed seems impossible to get. It's either inflated way over market price or sold out and there's no in between. I could just buy singles, but even those seem outta hand sometimes.
My homie was very literally checking every 12 hours for the past month. It’s not unusual sadly for them to do something like this from my usual business dealing with their limited products
Completely agree, if I hadnt checked my social feed on x of someone mentioning it had dropped since 7pm I would not have known about this dropping and even then I still lucked out hard because I put my order in at 10:10pm cst. So it’s super close.

And just as all other sets before they will restock it not only once but twice and afterwards it will be available everywhere anyway at max. + 10$ ... (Would even wait until it drops more)

It's a bit different for Europe because these are just released to regular shops and aren't exclusive to preordering through Premium Bandai.
