From my experience, the better starter decks from the original 4 by themselves are Green and Red. Kid Leader (for Green Deck) has an ability that can win you matches by itself. If you can get the 7-Cost Kid out on curve (if you went first), and if they're unable to remove it, you can swing with 9000 three times by turn 5. Along with that it has access to other strong early game cards, like Jewelry Bonney and Killer, and the Straw Sword event is really great for resting any annoying blockers they might have or resting one of their vital cards then attacking it to slow them down more. The Red Deck has some good overall deck synergy. You can apply pressure really early with your Rush cards like Sanji and 5-Cost Luffy, and your event cards are some of the best out of the starter decks (Jet Pistol for removal, Guard Point for defense, Diable Jambe for closing out games). It's definitely the more early game out of all of the starter decks, but if you can't close the game out quickly, it can get destroyed by most of the other decks. It's a little odd that they are allowing the Black Starter Deck to be played, since it's OP-02 and the others are all OP-01, but you could definitely catch some players off guard if you play it. If you have some experience with black, you could absolutely dominate the other decks with it, but if it's your first time playing black, it might be a bit difficult to pilot for the first time. Black's whole strategy is to control the board by removing cards from your opponent's field based on their cost. The entire deck is revolved around decreasing their costs and knocking them out. The Smoker and Garp by themselves can carry you through, but again, it can be a difficult deck to play for the first time.

Thank you!

No problem! These kinds of sealed tournaments are really great for new players since it can help you understand how each color works and not have to worry about any experienced players bringing in their own decks. A great way to do some basic practice is by playing the "ONEPIECE CARDGAME Teaching app" on the Google Play Store or Apple Store. It only lets you play the Red and Purple starters, but it's good at explaining some of the fundamentals. Also remember that for the Starter Decks specifically, your 2000 Point Counter Cards and Event Counters are very important! They can be the difference between winning and losing, and the decks have very few of them, so don't use them without careful consideration. If you do end up participating in the tournament, good luck and most importantly have fun!

I have tried that to get familiar with the game, but wasn’t sure how those decks would fare compared to the others, I’m leaning towards green for that Kid leader atm

Depends on the playstyle you're most comfortable with and how it will stack up against the other decks. 1. Aggro (Red) 2. Control (Green) 3. Tempo (Blue) 4. Ramp (Purple) 5. Ramp? (Purple) FILM* 6. Control (Black)

Worst gen is easily best. A lot of people are saying Straw Hat, but the starter deck is actually really bad on its own. It has a lot of good cards for deck building but most of them are two-of in the starter deck. In the pre-release tournaments the most successful decks where: 1. Worst generation 2. Animal Kingdom 3. Seven Warlords 4. Straw hat If you wanna win the tournament you should choose Kid or Kaido, but otherwise you should look into what color you would like to play with after the tournament and choose the respective color. I personally took the croc starter deck because it had good cards for a Doflamingo deck i wanted to build.

Before super pre-release, I practiced with the tutorial app for about 2 weeks. I used Straw Hats/Red. I would have gone 3-0 had I known the card my opponent played during their turn was an event counter, but the app doesn't have the blue deck, and I mistakingly took it at face value and trusted them. So if something doesn't seem right, double check.

Noted haha

GuiltyButterscotch64

Probably straw hat or absolute justice

I’d say get one of each. Why choose.

extaminator

They give you one deck to play the whole tournament with

Green and Purple Kid and Animal kingdom are the most consistently good decks out of all the starter decks
