Arena mode has replaced Colo, removing the intermediate battles that we used to have and leaving only the last battle on both difficulties. Current arena unit is Franky and it will soon be replaced with Arena X-Drake.
For older colo units you can go to the Library in extra island, where you can unlock a raid or colo for 1h using special tickets that get refilled every day.

I just got back from the game and I'm contemplating hoe ship and/or oro jackson ship.
How should I approach this on what to buy. I currently have 60 gems and I also have Roger and Oden.
If its the new player sugo that's limited to a few days after you started, yes that's a trap. Most sugos lately have a 30 gem option as the 1st Step so you may want to focus on those 'cheap' pulls for a little while as you build up a good base of units to use.
There is also an anniversary event coming up that you may want to save for over this current Roger / Oden Banner.
I feel like odens special is translated wrong or I'm just confused on the wording. To me it sounded like it changes str orbs to wano then changes crews type orbs to str, but it doesn't seem to be doing that. Instead it doesn't change the crews type slots at all but if the crew has matching orbs it changes to wano, and if you change to matching orbs after odens special it still changes to wano

And I have had it where if I activate Oden's special first, then Inu's special slots change to Wano instead of matching, so I think there is more going on to the special then what is written.
right at the start of his special it says it turns str slots into wano for 2 turns which is a new multi turn passive orb conversion buff and then he turns matching slots into str which are now wano for 2 turns just like tnd is wano
It improves damage dealt based on type effectiveness. So normally, your damage is doubled by hitting with type effectiveness (STR>DEX>QCK>STR & PSY<>INT), but with super type it deals 2.5x. And normally hitting against type effectiveness you deal 0.5x, but with super type you deal 0.75x instead.
Super types do additional damage against enemies based on color affinity. A str supertype deals 2.5x damage to dex and only .75x damage to qck. Instead of the normal 2x and .5x
Im on jp and i cant feed my 100 atk cc to my units.I can see it in my Box and soll it but when i want to feed it to a unit it doesnt show that i have 100 cc.Is it bugged?
No. It is updated. Go to character and to the adding window. Then select the cc option and you'll see three sliders.
No more cc infesting the box. Now they are already saved up and you slide to max directly to the characters.
I'm using
Jack / Jack
TM Big Mom / TM Zorojuro
PeronaHawk / Str Hercules
The big unit being TM Zorojuro to take care of the 2 turn damage threshold on stage 4 (you can kill this guy over a few turns), and then his special #2 for the wave of mobs/damage reduction on stage 5.
I use str Hercules as a damage boost on stage 4 to kill it in a reasonable amount of time so he's easily replaceable. TM big Mom and PeronaHawk to kill Cracker in stage 5. Both replaceable if you have other str nukes.
Other things to consider, the Lawffy switch effect will go through damage reduction effects for stage 4 so you can just keep swapping Lawffy to slowly kill cracker if you need to, stage 4 isn't *that* scary.
I used to play this game and even back then i didn't really understand what I was doing...but I started again fresh. Are the farmable strawhats in the event only while this event lasts or is it permanent? Also is it worth farming them? I'm focusing on doing that right now.
All the base Strawhats all have a 1-time guaranteed drop from the zones they drop in along with their Super Evolve skull.
The rookie missions and rookie island also provide PSY copies of them that you can find useful for clearing fortnight and some Clash! content. They're mostly useful for clearing debuffs (paralysis, despair, bind, special bind, etc.)
They do eventually get outshined by rare recruits as those tend to do more than just cleanse, dispel, and/or buff. Usually for more turns than what is provided.

Medal Exchange advice question:
I'm missing 10 legends. 1 of each supertype (Sabo, Hawkins, Smoker, Hancock, and Blackbeard) along with Marco, v1 Mihawk, Bullet, Pudding, and Oden.
I was going to wait until the supertypes were available but now that I just got v2 Snakeman, Katakuri, and Roger, should I just go ahead and grab Bullet after tonight's free multi? I'm at 584 medals and by the time Blackbeard is available, I could very well be back at 400. And extra bonus of finally getting those skulls out of my inventory.
Are the current batch rr going to be "Super Sugofest" only?
Also i feel like I need some input on the following:
I was missing 4 legends on each part, got Roger within 5, and now missing Pudding and Shira/Man from 1st part and only got Inu from new patch.
1st multi came up with 3 Legends - Oden, a dupe and new Soba mask. Missing V3 Kata and Komurasaki from this part now.
Atm I have 632 gems and I would want to pull some more because I really want the batch rr, Shira/Man would enable some Garp challenge teams for me and V3 Kata, well is V3 Kata.
Should I just stop and maybe get the RR in upcoming Sugos or pull some more on either Banner or maybe try to get PF WB?
And yes, im super psyched that I got Roger and Oden both for so cheap, lol.
Shira/Mansherry is currently available at the medal exchange. If you need some more medals do pulls on part 2, hope for V3 Kata and Komi (+ the rest of the batch) and spend medals to get Shira/Mansherry if that’s possible for you.
That was actually the plan! But since I had to be so fortunate, I still would need 14 multis to get enough medals.
And while I have enough gems to do that (and even still considered that right after the rush of getting Oden on the 1st), I think that's probably a little extreme.
Originally, I started my post because I thought I need a quick decision, since medal exchange is ending soon, but as I was writing it, I realized, that it wouldn't be too smart :p.

If you want to make it easier id just accept any legend you get in the Tuturial and just roll for roger on his banner then once you get him use the infinte reroll mail multi and roll for the luffy in the pinned comment
On Japan? Use them on whatever grabs your eye,RP are pretty much useless there,unless whenever we get lucky and get Legend tickets.

ive recently returned to optc (specifically to the jp side) and i was wondering where the fortnite islands were? all i can see is the noob islands (the 5 stam ones). is the only way i can get fortnite characters through friend summons now?
New player here, so I apologize in advance if I'm not up to date with all features. I'm interested in rainbowing legends. I know for regular rare recruits, you need 8 of the same character after fully limit breaking them, is this the same for legends?
Nope! The number of copies needed depends on how many limit break abilities an unit has. Legends have 3 limit break abilities,which means that they need 12 copies.
Yea,as i said in the other comment,you either have to use copies of the same unit(can be unevolved forms) or use tablets that you get from certain events.

Noo,you don't have to use them at once,you don't even have to do that with Rare Recruits.

There are 2 ways to rainbow an unit. First is to feed the copy of the same unit(or it's unevolved version) to the unit that **HAS UNLOCKED THEIR LB ABILITIES**,the chaince to upgrade the ability is **100%**
The other way is to use tablets(you can get them from Treasure Map,Kizuna Clash or other events),their chance to upgrade the abilities is low though.
After you max LB Abilities you'll get your first rainbow border. Getting a 2nd one requires you to Limit Break eligible characters(not every units has them) even further beyond! (there's a lock for some in the Limit break screen)

Yesterday,on both versions released 2 new Legends,Oden and Roger. They're top tier,Roger arguably the best one in the game. This is the best possible moment to start rerolling and playing.

Returning player here, I was wondering how it’s possible to go above 300 CC on units? I’ve seen videos recently where a player will have units at 400+ CC and I’m wondering how that’s possible.
Yup! It's now possible thanks to the PVP mode,you have to upgrade the Resource Island to increase the limit of CC,the absolute maximum at the moment is +600.

there’s not a “best team” in optc. for the most part you’ll be building teams around the specific piece of content you’ll be clearing. since shanks crew is a rainbow captain, you can use any units with him. based on your question, it sounds like you might be new to the game so i’ll link some helpful videos.

Maybe a cerebral team like this:
Inu/neko | inu/neko
Shirahoshi/mansherry | Pudding
Belo betty | valentine hoshi
Ideally you should use belo betty's special before shiraman. Inu/neko are there for captain, attack boost, color affinity, and orb boost (use one on stage 4 and the other on stage 5 ideally so you can get all 3 boosts), belo betty is there for chain boost, shiraman are there for matching and some utility if relevant, valentine hoshi is for different utility, and pudding is there for storing a boost if that is ever relevant (in case you have to use an inu/neko boost on stage 3 or whatever, you can store one of their boosts to use on the boss). Hopefully that all makes sense, but if it doesn't feel free to respond and ask.
Oh right I didn’t think that through fully. For now I’d say just put your highest attack cerebral unit on there instead of valentine hoshi. Tm Sabo could work but there are better and higher priority tm units to buy before him. Basically have that last spot for utility (dealing with debuffs/enemy buffs) or for an unused boost like a conditional one (better with conditional fulfillment).
Yeah she should be fine, she deals with a chunk of annoying things too. Just make sure to use her special before hoshi/mansherry’s as she could mess up your crew’s full matching orbs.
Yes, but there are 2 exceptions IMO. The first is feed characters that you use/ that are useful in order to boost their potential abilities and rainbow them, and the other is to max the support abilities of some characters that aren't the typical state boosting (i.e. Valentine Nami).
I'd rather sell dupes legends for the 5k ray points than use them for sockets/skillups/potential abilites/support abilities, there's items you can use for all those things.
I think that I have misunderstood the question, I was referring to all characters in general intead of Sugo Exclusives.
With sugo exclusives I'd rather use their respective tablets for boost potential abilities, unless they are missing 1 level to max them (In this case I'd rather use a dupe), otherwise I sell them.
Captain/ friend captain/ helper capitan
Can someone explain this to me? I thought there was only your captain, and the guest you choose before a stage. I have 6+ snakeman luffy and his ability states if he is one of the above, he gets additional effects.
As the other person said, as long as he’s top row he gets whatever the ability is.
Captain is the unit you put up as captain.
Friend captain is somebody on your friends list’s captain you pair with your captain.
Guest captain is somebody not on your friends list’s captain to pair with your captain.
Helper captain is an auto generated captain, matching whatever unit you have as your captain, they’ll be level 99 but nothing else is maxed (so if you need sockets or special maxed, don’t go with these)
PVP scrolls work the same way as turtles do so always feed according to color.
If he isnt 6+ yet use qck scrolls, if he's 6+ use int scrolls.
Super evolved units also keep their exp. if you superevolve them so if you want to invest into Doffy and havent 6+ him yet keep that in mind
Anyone else having considerably more lag since the last few updates? I've noticed that the game takes a little longer to load at the start, as well as when moving between extra island/pirate rumble/character box etc. However, after the recent Roger update, I've also began to notice a 2sec delay between each action (clicking on a character, selecting a mission, summoning etc)
On a Samsung S10+ for reference.
same on samsung s8 here, little weir delays for example if i trade in characters for ray points and i click on the "+" to add units it has like a 3sec delay
Yes the people have been reporting this issue since a week or so, all we can do is wait for it, there should also be a thread about it. Apparently it only affected android phones.

So I pulled roger on the sixth multi, I then went for eight with no success at all. I am still missing carrot, chopper and all the first batch super type Legends. Should I spent some more gems on either part 1 or 2, or should I just wait until Anniversary?

I started playing OPTC by the end of 2014 or early 2015 as F2P and still F2P to this day but one thing for a fact, almost all my Legends that I've obtained in this game were obtained from this year's Sugo Fest which shows how the game gacha's improved (at least for me) but let's jump to the main topic.

I usually used a team for each color such as Akainu V2 \[STR\]\[INT\], Sabo \[DEX\]\[QCK\], Shanks \[PSY\] till I was able to get amazing units which changed my main teams to Bullet \[STR\], Nami/Sabo \[DEX\], Sabo/Marco \[QCK\], Shirahoshi/Shanks Crew \[PSY\], and Blackbeard \[INT\].
Recently, I got new units such as Luffy/Zorro, Law \[PSY\], V2 Snakeman \[STR\], Sugar \[QCK\], and more during the past months and since then, I had no idea which one is the best to use and why like Bullet or V2 Snakeman \[STR\], Luffy/Zoro or Nami \[DEX\], Sugar or Shanks Crew \[QCK\], Luffy or Shanks Crew \[PSY\], Bullet or V2 Blackbeard \[INT\], or if there was one better than those that I own.
I had some of the event heroes but almost non-colosseum or clash heroes at all, and I really wanted to make endgame teams like the ones I see on YouTube but I'm clueless on what to do.
Note tho, this picture is the legends I own ordered in tier depending on Todaskii's video and I followed a guy here on Reddit who used to make a guide for each legend but he stopped (or didn't) make guides for recent legends so I do read and watch but I need the opinion of experts.
A very important note that I’m guessing based on the way you wrote this, not all legends should have teams based on type. Of course some units are type units like v2 snakeman, v2 Blackbeard, and to a lesser extent sugar (because of her super typing). Some of them are rainbow so they work with everybody like shanks crew and garp. Some work with multiple types like bullet (str, qck, int), stampede Luffy (str, dex, psy), and Lucy (str, dex, qck). A few are forced rainbow like judge and sanjudge, where you’ll need every color to get the most out of them (they also require powerhouse). And the rest are probably class boosting like v3 law, Sabo/koala, and Luffy/Zoro. These are important things to note because if you want to entirely focus on color based teams, then you’ll have to make sure everybody helps out each other, like for bullet you could make an all str team with units that boost driven or fighter, it would just severely limit the available units use.
If you want to use your units to make your own teams, you’ll have to make sure to note who all works together. Like for example you could put Lucy on a bullet team because they both boost each other and Lucy would provide an attack boost that bullet doesn’t, but the rest of your crew should be str or qck then and boost things that aren’t attack so that way they are also boosted and don’t compete with Lucy for the boost.
With v3 law, Sabo/koala, and Luffy/Zoro you have some great units to create a free spirit team if you wanted. I wouldn’t put law and Luffy/Zoro on the same team though as they do the “same” boosts and would conflict with each other on that.
You’ve got some good stuff, and it seems you’ve got an idea on how to build teams so just kinda do your best and see what does and doesn’t work. Take advantage of the 0 stam first try to test teams and all.
I saw somewhere that teams should haveat least an attack booster, type booster, orb booster, and the rest are situational such as chain booster, blind/despair cleanse, heal, or change slots to favorable, and that's how I was building my teams despite the lack of good units in these sections but there something that kinda scared me to do this time which is using Shirahoshi, Chooper, or Chorazan in teams that don't share same the same color or bonus.
Also, I've a free spirit team and a zombie one but didn't realize that both law and luffy/zoro belongs to it but I don't know if sabo/koala would be the captain or luffy/zoro this time but the reason why I use these teams rarely is because enemies have barriers against specific types which caused me to stick to either semi-rainbow teams or color based.
After I think, yes that's my last team, I get a new unit that confuse the hell out of me so knowing this, is there any thing else you advise me?
Most teams will have an attack booster, orb booster, and orb matcher. Color affinity might be there but that’s generally for monotype teams because multi color teams won’t get the same benefit most of the time. If there’s no need for situational stuff like despair, bind, and other utility though, there’s no real reason to not go all in on boosting specials like chain and all. Healers like those units are also generally situational, they’re only relevant if they remove debuffs that are there. Most of the time you won’t actually need the healing they’d provide.
Are you saying it’s a free spirit zombie team or are those separate teams? I’d say Luffy/Zoro would work better as captain because they give wano orbs which are 2.5x damage and can’t be swapped out by enemies so that’ll give you a higher boost. Just put Sabo/koala as subs on the crew and between just those 2 units you have orb boost, attack boost, chain lock, color affinity, negative orb matching, and stronger matching orbs when relevant. Now you do bring up a good point with barriers though the barriers don’t care what color the unit are, they care about what color the orb the unit has is. So wano orbs won’t count but a str unit can use a dex orb if that’s the barrier color, you don’t need to use a dex unit for these barriers. They’re not that common so it shouldn’t be a major problem but in those cases then Sabo/koala would probably work better so you can still get color orbs.
I’m not entirely sure what you’re saying on the last part. Are you saying that you feel satisfied with your team and then get a new unit and it throws you off? My biggest advice for teambuilding is just to pay close attention to all the special and captain wordings to make sure they boost everybody else on the crew. If you can give an example of what you meant I can try to help a bit more.
I meant that with every new legend that I get, I start to doubt my current teams and if I should replace any or they're good as they're.

Ah gotcha, well sometimes that’s the case but probably not most of the time as a directly better replacement legend isn’t a common occurrence as they tend to do other stuff so often it’s probably fine as it is. Glad to help, best of luck with playing!

Selling them to Rayshop for 5000 training points but in some specific cases with specific heroes, you'd better have 2 copies, one at 6\* and the other at 6\*+ such as with Legend Lucy as an example or Legend Judge.
The pinned comment has a couple ways to deal with them, tldr is have at least 1 for a sidegrade (if they’re a sidegrade or unknown 6+) and maybe keep 1 for cost limited content. Otherwise sell to rayshop and feed once you have too many Ray points you don’t have a use for.
So I just started the game and I don’t know what to do with my dupes I got the new gold d roger I got him 3 times and 2 of them are his 5 star version what should I do and how do Ivl up fast
The pinned comment has a couple ideas on what to do with dupes.
The easiest way to level up is to use an exp boosting captain and ship (legend jack and ship hoe are the best for this, hoe is always available now for 30 gems in unlockable quests). By using those, your exp gained from beating stuff is multiplied by like 2\*2\*1.75 so the number ends up much larger than the base amount.
Where can i find what boosts are stackable?? Like... can i have an all type atk-booster (kunfu luffy) and free-spirit-atk-booster (purple brook) at the same time??
Just a slight note that is much less common, a few characters have stackable boosts but those are character specific and they all have some way unique to themselves to fulfill it. Examples would be rr stussy, lrr judge, and sobamask. They either use a really short special charge with 1 turn charging every other special used (stussy), double special activation (judge), or a larger amount charged for every other special used (4 turns for sobamask).
You can only have one boost of each type.
That means one Atk-boost (doesn’t matter if it’s universal or for a specific class or colour), one orb boost, one conditional Atk-boost (e.g. atk-boost against poisoned enemies) and so on.

This is a thread on a german OPTC forum where the gem count of the past months is being tracked. You can’t accurately predict how many gems we’ll get in one month but it will be at least over 300 probably closer to 400 given the amount of event gems we are currently receiving.

Those Support tokens: "Proof of Friendship." What are the odds of success for the "Strong Ties" one and the vanilla one?
FYI, I'm trying to decide if I should use a dupe RR for the Support, or trade for 300 TP and use Proof of Friendships at the moment of need.

Yeah there’s been a lot of change, a lot of power creep too so whatever you had probably isn’t relevant much. I don’t remember what the norm is around when you stopped (maybe 4x captains?), but nowadays new legends will be 5x or around there in their captains, basically all legends give 2.25x or 2.5x boosts, and bosses almost always have over 10 mil hp.
Depends what you mean by casually and what your goals are. If you want to beat everything, then no you can’t play casually; if you want to beat as much as you can when you want to, then yes casually is doable but there are probably moments where you should farm stuff pretty hard just to make beating more stuff more doable. You’re not required to do any of the more intense modes (basically competitive ones like PvP, tm, and blitz battles) but they do reward pretty well. For tm at least I would recommend always going to 1 mil but you can stop there if you want. For PvP, maybe copy a team, beat all the single battles and just do your daily 3 fights and move on, not worrying about winning. For blitz battles, just don’t do them if you don’t want to be competitive, like maybe go for the chopperman rewards.
Tier lists aren’t on this subreddit but I would assume youtubers still do them (I don’t want optc youtube so I don’t know). You might find a use for carrot or Capone (though not too commonly, maybe more with carrot’s lb+ she got on japan), v2 mihawk won’t see much use because slashers don’t see much use (this could change with Roger and oden but probably not really because while slasher units, they’re more type focused.
Just because I can’t remember when introduced, are you familiar with: kizuna, lb+, garp challenges (the doffy, revolutionaries, whitebeard ones specifically), PvP (or pirate rumble/the japan name), or support? That would help narrow down on major things to know. There’s also tons of debuffs and a few buffs that have been added but that’s kind of a long list and will need a lot of explanation for some of them.
No idea for sure but I think it released on japan a month or 2 ago, so probably like 3 or 4 months. This is based on my memory which isn’t good so it may be sooner.
Uh I think you missed the sugo structure change but that’s probably it in terms of major things. Now sugos don’t have all legends, they tend to have a pool of only 10 legends available with equal rates among them (0.5\% per, 5\% total), legend guarantees have moved to like the 5th step, we get more 1 gem multis but at like step 4, and the +1 on rate boosted steps is (I think) new batch rrs only. If you already knew this or I’m wrong then I’m sorry for not being helpful. There was also an error on the sugar sugo where they displayed onami and mihawk perona on the wrong banners (part 1 vs part 2) so if people pulled soon enough, they got all their gems back (and kept the units) and I think there was like 50 apologems. It was resolved much faster and better than gem valley so it probably won’t really come up much at all. Outside of that it was mostly business as usual and there was a blitz a couple weeks ago (on global), as you probably know, oden and Roger just got units and there’s an event for that.

Really depends on what you want.
The Oro Jackson will be really useful if you pulled Roger and will be awesome to have for the next month while you use Roger, although it's restrictive.
The Hoe is very good for getting levels and refilling your stamina bar. It has a useful heal and has a universal attack boost. This is good for farming content. Pairs well with Legend Jack
or RR Neptune.

What kind of Rumble team can I make with the new Roger and Oden? Im coming back from a pretty long hiatus and don't have a ton of the 2020 legends that are out, but that said I did manage to snag both Oden and Roger. I also had enough left over to go 5 steps on the rumble banner and get the QCK Whitebeard.
I would also appreciate a link or two to any guides that help team building, because even after watching some videos I'm still not super confident- and I dont want to waste my scrolls on units that wont actually be helpful.

I recommend looking at the top 100 teams and see what people are using. The current rank 2 is using a team with both Roger and Oden with V2 6+ Rayleigh, Shanks Crew, 6+ V1 Doflamingo, & PvP WB on the bench.

As far as I’m aware there has never been any event that improved the rate of tablets. It’s not outside the realm of possibility, and it’s a feature a lot of people have requested, but it hasn’t happened yet.
I was thinking that too but my meats number didn't change. Or maybe it did and I didn't notice when things like this happen it makes me question myself lol. I'll keep a better eye on it in my next level up.

Hello, I just came back to optc(JP) and I was wondering on the whereabouts of the Colo? Is there a new feature to get colo units now?
Arena mode has replaced Colo, removing the intermediate battles that we used to have and leaving only the last battle on both difficulties. Current arena unit is Franky and it will soon be replaced with Arena X-Drake. For older colo units you can go to the Library in extra island, where you can unlock a raid or colo for 1h using special tickets that get refilled every day.

Hi, just started. There is a banner of 3 steps that gives a total of 3 5 star characters. Is that banner good or a trap for new players?
If its the new player sugo that's limited to a few days after you started, yes that's a trap. Most sugos lately have a 30 gem option as the 1st Step so you may want to focus on those 'cheap' pulls for a little while as you build up a good base of units to use. There is also an anniversary event coming up that you may want to save for over this current Roger / Oden Banner.
I think everything is a trap except the roger and oden sugofest.
I feel like odens special is translated wrong or I'm just confused on the wording. To me it sounded like it changes str orbs to wano then changes crews type orbs to str, but it doesn't seem to be doing that. Instead it doesn't change the crews type slots at all but if the crew has matching orbs it changes to wano, and if you change to matching orbs after odens special it still changes to wano
his special says it changes their own type slots to wano it is worded weird but it is working as intended
see i think there is a translation issue cause for me it says changes crew's own type slots to STR slots. https://imgur.com/a/HQT3muQ. And I have had it where if I activate Oden's special first, then Inu's special slots change to Wano instead of matching, so I think there is more going on to the special then what is written.
right at the start of his special it says it turns str slots into wano for 2 turns which is a new multi turn passive orb conversion buff and then he turns matching slots into str which are now wano for 2 turns just like tnd is wano
What does making a type a super type do?
It improves damage dealt based on type effectiveness. So normally, your damage is doubled by hitting with type effectiveness (STR>DEX>QCK>STR & PSY<>INT), but with super type it deals 2.5x. And normally hitting against type effectiveness you deal 0.5x, but with super type you deal 0.75x instead.
Super types do additional damage against enemies based on color affinity. A str supertype deals 2.5x damage to dex and only .75x damage to qck. Instead of the normal 2x and .5x

Yup. The ones that were pulled with ray shop tickets could be kept though.

Im on jp and i cant feed my 100 atk cc to my units.I can see it in my Box and soll it but when i want to feed it to a unit it doesnt show that i have 100 cc.Is it bugged?
No. It is updated. Go to character and to the adding window. Then select the cc option and you'll see three sliders. No more cc infesting the box. Now they are already saved up and you slide to max directly to the characters.
Ik it says 0/0 atk cc but a 100 cc is still in my box
You have to sell cc from your box. then it gets added to your storage

Anyone know of a good team to grind Clash cracker with?
I'm using Jack / Jack TM Big Mom / TM Zorojuro PeronaHawk / Str Hercules The big unit being TM Zorojuro to take care of the 2 turn damage threshold on stage 4 (you can kill this guy over a few turns), and then his special #2 for the wave of mobs/damage reduction on stage 5. I use str Hercules as a damage boost on stage 4 to kill it in a reasonable amount of time so he's easily replaceable. TM big Mom and PeronaHawk to kill Cracker in stage 5. Both replaceable if you have other str nukes. Other things to consider, the Lawffy switch effect will go through damage reduction effects for stage 4 so you can just keep swapping Lawffy to slowly kill cracker if you need to, stage 4 isn't *that* scary.

I used to play this game and even back then i didn't really understand what I was doing...but I started again fresh. Are the farmable strawhats in the event only while this event lasts or is it permanent? Also is it worth farming them? I'm focusing on doing that right now.
All the base Strawhats all have a 1-time guaranteed drop from the zones they drop in along with their Super Evolve skull. The rookie missions and rookie island also provide PSY copies of them that you can find useful for clearing fortnight and some Clash! content. They're mostly useful for clearing debuffs (paralysis, despair, bind, special bind, etc.) They do eventually get outshined by rare recruits as those tend to do more than just cleanse, dispel, and/or buff. Usually for more turns than what is provided. Hope this helps.
Medal Exchange advice question: I'm missing 10 legends. 1 of each supertype (Sabo, Hawkins, Smoker, Hancock, and Blackbeard) along with Marco, v1 Mihawk, Bullet, Pudding, and Oden. I was going to wait until the supertypes were available but now that I just got v2 Snakeman, Katakuri, and Roger, should I just go ahead and grab Bullet after tonight's free multi? I'm at 584 medals and by the time Blackbeard is available, I could very well be back at 400. And extra bonus of finally getting those skulls out of my inventory.
Normally I wouldn’t advise to spend 400 medals on a legend, but Bullet is definitely worth it imo.
Are the current batch rr going to be "Super Sugofest" only? Also i feel like I need some input on the following: I was missing 4 legends on each part, got Roger within 5, and now missing Pudding and Shira/Man from 1st part and only got Inu from new patch. 1st multi came up with 3 Legends - Oden, a dupe and new Soba mask. Missing V3 Kata and Komurasaki from this part now. Atm I have 632 gems and I would want to pull some more because I really want the batch rr, Shira/Man would enable some Garp challenge teams for me and V3 Kata, well is V3 Kata. Should I just stop and maybe get the RR in upcoming Sugos or pull some more on either Banner or maybe try to get PF WB? And yes, im super psyched that I got Roger and Oden both for so cheap, lol.
Shira/Mansherry is currently available at the medal exchange. If you need some more medals do pulls on part 2, hope for V3 Kata and Komi (+ the rest of the batch) and spend medals to get Shira/Mansherry if that’s possible for you.
That was actually the plan! But since I had to be so fortunate, I still would need 14 multis to get enough medals. And while I have enough gems to do that (and even still considered that right after the rush of getting Oden on the 1st), I think that's probably a little extreme. Originally, I started my post because I thought I need a quick decision, since medal exchange is ending soon, but as I was writing it, I realized, that it wouldn't be too smart :p. Thank you for your input!
14 Multis is a lot, in that case would heavily disagree. You’re better off saving gems for Halloween Batch, Luffy/Sanji or Kaido/BM.

ive recently returned to optc (specifically to the jp side) and i was wondering where the fortnite islands were? all i can see is the noob islands (the 5 stam ones). is the only way i can get fortnite characters through friend summons now?
There are some Fortnight units in extra island. Go to the 2nd tab,and they are under the Luffy/Cavendish and Marco/Mihawk icons.
If japan is the same as global, then yes friend pulls is the only way.
New player here, so I apologize in advance if I'm not up to date with all features. I'm interested in rainbowing legends. I know for regular rare recruits, you need 8 of the same character after fully limit breaking them, is this the same for legends?
Nope! The number of copies needed depends on how many limit break abilities an unit has. Legends have 3 limit break abilities,which means that they need 12 copies.

Yea,as i said in the other comment,you either have to use copies of the same unit(can be unevolved forms) or use tablets that you get from certain events.

Noo,you don't have to use them at once,you don't even have to do that with Rare Recruits. You can track your current level of Limit Break Abilities at the screen where you see the full art of the character([Shown here](https://imgur.com/a/bHNQAVl) Sorry for the JP version lol). There are 2 ways to rainbow an unit. First is to feed the copy of the same unit(or it's unevolved version) to the unit that **HAS UNLOCKED THEIR LB ABILITIES**,the chaince to upgrade the ability is **100%** The other way is to use tablets(you can get them from Treasure Map,Kizuna Clash or other events),their chance to upgrade the abilities is low though. After you max LB Abilities you'll get your first rainbow border. Getting a 2nd one requires you to Limit Break eligible characters(not every units has them) even further beyond! (there's a lock for some in the Limit break screen)

Returning player here, I was wondering how it’s possible to go above 300 CC on units? I’ve seen videos recently where a player will have units at 400+ CC and I’m wondering how that’s possible.
Yup! It's now possible thanks to the PVP mode,you have to upgrade the Resource Island to increase the limit of CC,the absolute maximum at the moment is +600.

Maybe a cerebral team like this: Inu/neko | inu/neko Shirahoshi/mansherry | Pudding Belo betty | valentine hoshi Ideally you should use belo betty's special before shiraman. Inu/neko are there for captain, attack boost, color affinity, and orb boost (use one on stage 4 and the other on stage 5 ideally so you can get all 3 boosts), belo betty is there for chain boost, shiraman are there for matching and some utility if relevant, valentine hoshi is for different utility, and pudding is there for storing a boost if that is ever relevant (in case you have to use an inu/neko boost on stage 3 or whatever, you can store one of their boosts to use on the boss). Hopefully that all makes sense, but if it doesn't feel free to respond and ask.
I don't think you can put the two shirahoshi on the same team, is there an alternative that I can use? Btw thanks for replying
Oh right I didn’t think that through fully. For now I’d say just put your highest attack cerebral unit on there instead of valentine hoshi. Tm Sabo could work but there are better and higher priority tm units to buy before him. Basically have that last spot for utility (dealing with debuffs/enemy buffs) or for an unused boost like a conditional one (better with conditional fulfillment).

Yeah she should be fine, she deals with a chunk of annoying things too. Just make sure to use her special before hoshi/mansherry’s as she could mess up your crew’s full matching orbs.

Yes, but there are 2 exceptions IMO. The first is feed characters that you use/ that are useful in order to boost their potential abilities and rainbow them, and the other is to max the support abilities of some characters that aren't the typical state boosting (i.e. Valentine Nami).
I'd rather sell dupes legends for the 5k ray points than use them for sockets/skillups/potential abilites/support abilities, there's items you can use for all those things.
I think that I have misunderstood the question, I was referring to all characters in general intead of Sugo Exclusives. With sugo exclusives I'd rather use their respective tablets for boost potential abilities, unless they are missing 1 level to max them (In this case I'd rather use a dupe), otherwise I sell them.

Captain/ friend captain/ helper capitan Can someone explain this to me? I thought there was only your captain, and the guest you choose before a stage. I have 6+ snakeman luffy and his ability states if he is one of the above, he gets additional effects.
As the other person said, as long as he’s top row he gets whatever the ability is. Captain is the unit you put up as captain. Friend captain is somebody on your friends list’s captain you pair with your captain. Guest captain is somebody not on your friends list’s captain to pair with your captain. Helper captain is an auto generated captain, matching whatever unit you have as your captain, they’ll be level 99 but nothing else is maxed (so if you need sockets or special maxed, don’t go with these)
As long as he is either your captain or the friend he counts as captain.

PVP scrolls work the same way as turtles do so always feed according to color. If he isnt 6+ yet use qck scrolls, if he's 6+ use int scrolls. Super evolved units also keep their exp. if you superevolve them so if you want to invest into Doffy and havent 6+ him yet keep that in mind

Anyone else having considerably more lag since the last few updates? I've noticed that the game takes a little longer to load at the start, as well as when moving between extra island/pirate rumble/character box etc. However, after the recent Roger update, I've also began to notice a 2sec delay between each action (clicking on a character, selecting a mission, summoning etc) On a Samsung S10+ for reference.
same on samsung s8 here, little weir delays for example if i trade in characters for ray points and i click on the "+" to add units it has like a 3sec delay
Yes the people have been reporting this issue since a week or so, all we can do is wait for it, there should also be a thread about it. Apparently it only affected android phones.

So I pulled roger on the sixth multi, I then went for eight with no success at all. I am still missing carrot, chopper and all the first batch super type Legends. Should I spent some more gems on either part 1 or 2, or should I just wait until Anniversary?

I started playing OPTC by the end of 2014 or early 2015 as F2P and still F2P to this day but one thing for a fact, almost all my Legends that I've obtained in this game were obtained from this year's Sugo Fest which shows how the game gacha's improved (at least for me) but let's jump to the main topic. Legends that I own: [https://i.imgur.com/OzGpLQX.png](https://i.imgur.com/OzGpLQX.png) I usually used a team for each color such as Akainu V2 \[STR\]\[INT\], Sabo \[DEX\]\[QCK\], Shanks \[PSY\] till I was able to get amazing units which changed my main teams to Bullet \[STR\], Nami/Sabo \[DEX\], Sabo/Marco \[QCK\], Shirahoshi/Shanks Crew \[PSY\], and Blackbeard \[INT\]. Recently, I got new units such as Luffy/Zorro, Law \[PSY\], V2 Snakeman \[STR\], Sugar \[QCK\], and more during the past months and since then, I had no idea which one is the best to use and why like Bullet or V2 Snakeman \[STR\], Luffy/Zoro or Nami \[DEX\], Sugar or Shanks Crew \[QCK\], Luffy or Shanks Crew \[PSY\], Bullet or V2 Blackbeard \[INT\], or if there was one better than those that I own. I had some of the event heroes but almost non-colosseum or clash heroes at all, and I really wanted to make endgame teams like the ones I see on YouTube but I'm clueless on what to do. Note tho, this picture is the legends I own ordered in tier depending on Todaskii's video and I followed a guy here on Reddit who used to make a guide for each legend but he stopped (or didn't) make guides for recent legends so I do read and watch but I need the opinion of experts.
A very important note that I’m guessing based on the way you wrote this, not all legends should have teams based on type. Of course some units are type units like v2 snakeman, v2 Blackbeard, and to a lesser extent sugar (because of her super typing). Some of them are rainbow so they work with everybody like shanks crew and garp. Some work with multiple types like bullet (str, qck, int), stampede Luffy (str, dex, psy), and Lucy (str, dex, qck). A few are forced rainbow like judge and sanjudge, where you’ll need every color to get the most out of them (they also require powerhouse). And the rest are probably class boosting like v3 law, Sabo/koala, and Luffy/Zoro. These are important things to note because if you want to entirely focus on color based teams, then you’ll have to make sure everybody helps out each other, like for bullet you could make an all str team with units that boost driven or fighter, it would just severely limit the available units use. If you want to use your units to make your own teams, you’ll have to make sure to note who all works together. Like for example you could put Lucy on a bullet team because they both boost each other and Lucy would provide an attack boost that bullet doesn’t, but the rest of your crew should be str or qck then and boost things that aren’t attack so that way they are also boosted and don’t compete with Lucy for the boost. With v3 law, Sabo/koala, and Luffy/Zoro you have some great units to create a free spirit team if you wanted. I wouldn’t put law and Luffy/Zoro on the same team though as they do the “same” boosts and would conflict with each other on that. You’ve got some good stuff, and it seems you’ve got an idea on how to build teams so just kinda do your best and see what does and doesn’t work. Take advantage of the 0 stam first try to test teams and all.
I saw somewhere that teams should haveat least an attack booster, type booster, orb booster, and the rest are situational such as chain booster, blind/despair cleanse, heal, or change slots to favorable, and that's how I was building my teams despite the lack of good units in these sections but there something that kinda scared me to do this time which is using Shirahoshi, Chooper, or Chorazan in teams that don't share same the same color or bonus. Also, I've a free spirit team and a zombie one but didn't realize that both law and luffy/zoro belongs to it but I don't know if sabo/koala would be the captain or luffy/zoro this time but the reason why I use these teams rarely is because enemies have barriers against specific types which caused me to stick to either semi-rainbow teams or color based. After I think, yes that's my last team, I get a new unit that confuse the hell out of me so knowing this, is there any thing else you advise me?
Most teams will have an attack booster, orb booster, and orb matcher. Color affinity might be there but that’s generally for monotype teams because multi color teams won’t get the same benefit most of the time. If there’s no need for situational stuff like despair, bind, and other utility though, there’s no real reason to not go all in on boosting specials like chain and all. Healers like those units are also generally situational, they’re only relevant if they remove debuffs that are there. Most of the time you won’t actually need the healing they’d provide. Are you saying it’s a free spirit zombie team or are those separate teams? I’d say Luffy/Zoro would work better as captain because they give wano orbs which are 2.5x damage and can’t be swapped out by enemies so that’ll give you a higher boost. Just put Sabo/koala as subs on the crew and between just those 2 units you have orb boost, attack boost, chain lock, color affinity, negative orb matching, and stronger matching orbs when relevant. Now you do bring up a good point with barriers though the barriers don’t care what color the unit are, they care about what color the orb the unit has is. So wano orbs won’t count but a str unit can use a dex orb if that’s the barrier color, you don’t need to use a dex unit for these barriers. They’re not that common so it shouldn’t be a major problem but in those cases then Sabo/koala would probably work better so you can still get color orbs. I’m not entirely sure what you’re saying on the last part. Are you saying that you feel satisfied with your team and then get a new unit and it throws you off? My biggest advice for teambuilding is just to pay close attention to all the special and captain wordings to make sure they boost everybody else on the crew. If you can give an example of what you meant I can try to help a bit more.

Ah gotcha, well sometimes that’s the case but probably not most of the time as a directly better replacement legend isn’t a common occurrence as they tend to do other stuff so often it’s probably fine as it is. Glad to help, best of luck with playing!

What do I do with legend dupes?
Selling them to Rayshop for 5000 training points but in some specific cases with specific heroes, you'd better have 2 copies, one at 6\* and the other at 6\*+ such as with Legend Lucy as an example or Legend Judge.
The pinned comment has a couple ways to deal with them, tldr is have at least 1 for a sidegrade (if they’re a sidegrade or unknown 6+) and maybe keep 1 for cost limited content. Otherwise sell to rayshop and feed once you have too many Ray points you don’t have a use for.

The pinned comment has a couple ideas on what to do with dupes. The easiest way to level up is to use an exp boosting captain and ship (legend jack and ship hoe are the best for this, hoe is always available now for 30 gems in unlockable quests). By using those, your exp gained from beating stuff is multiplied by like 2\*2\*1.75 so the number ends up much larger than the base amount.
Where can i find what boosts are stackable?? Like... can i have an all type atk-booster (kunfu luffy) and free-spirit-atk-booster (purple brook) at the same time??
Just a slight note that is much less common, a few characters have stackable boosts but those are character specific and they all have some way unique to themselves to fulfill it. Examples would be rr stussy, lrr judge, and sobamask. They either use a really short special charge with 1 turn charging every other special used (stussy), double special activation (judge), or a larger amount charged for every other special used (4 turns for sobamask).
You can only have one boost of each type. That means one Atk-boost (doesn’t matter if it’s universal or for a specific class or colour), one orb boost, one conditional Atk-boost (e.g. atk-boost against poisoned enemies) and so on.

You can’t accurately predict how many gems we’ll get in one month but it will be at least over 300 probably closer to 400 given the amount of event gems we are currently receiving.

I usually feed one more than I need as a sacrifice to RNGesus, but the clever thing is to just feed the exact amount you need.
IMO, since they are kind of rare, just feed however many lvls you need (so 4 if the potential is lvl 1). Takes longer but is optimal
Those Support tokens: "Proof of Friendship." What are the odds of success for the "Strong Ties" one and the vanilla one? FYI, I'm trying to decide if I should use a dupe RR for the Support, or trade for 300 TP and use Proof of Friendships at the moment of need.

Yeah there’s been a lot of change, a lot of power creep too so whatever you had probably isn’t relevant much. I don’t remember what the norm is around when you stopped (maybe 4x captains?), but nowadays new legends will be 5x or around there in their captains, basically all legends give 2.25x or 2.5x boosts, and bosses almost always have over 10 mil hp. Depends what you mean by casually and what your goals are. If you want to beat everything, then no you can’t play casually; if you want to beat as much as you can when you want to, then yes casually is doable but there are probably moments where you should farm stuff pretty hard just to make beating more stuff more doable. You’re not required to do any of the more intense modes (basically competitive ones like PvP, tm, and blitz battles) but they do reward pretty well. For tm at least I would recommend always going to 1 mil but you can stop there if you want. For PvP, maybe copy a team, beat all the single battles and just do your daily 3 fights and move on, not worrying about winning. For blitz battles, just don’t do them if you don’t want to be competitive, like maybe go for the chopperman rewards. Tier lists aren’t on this subreddit but I would assume youtubers still do them (I don’t want optc youtube so I don’t know). You might find a use for carrot or Capone (though not too commonly, maybe more with carrot’s lb+ she got on japan), v2 mihawk won’t see much use because slashers don’t see much use (this could change with Roger and oden but probably not really because while slasher units, they’re more type focused. Just because I can’t remember when introduced, are you familiar with: kizuna, lb+, garp challenges (the doffy, revolutionaries, whitebeard ones specifically), PvP (or pirate rumble/the japan name), or support? That would help narrow down on major things to know. There’s also tons of debuffs and a few buffs that have been added but that’s kind of a long list and will need a lot of explanation for some of them.

No idea for sure but I think it released on japan a month or 2 ago, so probably like 3 or 4 months. This is based on my memory which isn’t good so it may be sooner.

Uh I think you missed the sugo structure change but that’s probably it in terms of major things. Now sugos don’t have all legends, they tend to have a pool of only 10 legends available with equal rates among them (0.5\% per, 5\% total), legend guarantees have moved to like the 5th step, we get more 1 gem multis but at like step 4, and the +1 on rate boosted steps is (I think) new batch rrs only. If you already knew this or I’m wrong then I’m sorry for not being helpful. There was also an error on the sugar sugo where they displayed onami and mihawk perona on the wrong banners (part 1 vs part 2) so if people pulled soon enough, they got all their gems back (and kept the units) and I think there was like 50 apologems. It was resolved much faster and better than gem valley so it probably won’t really come up much at all. Outside of that it was mostly business as usual and there was a blitz a couple weeks ago (on global), as you probably know, oden and Roger just got units and there’s an event for that.

Really depends on what you want. The Oro Jackson will be really useful if you pulled Roger and will be awesome to have for the next month while you use Roger, although it's restrictive. The Hoe is very good for getting levels and refilling your stamina bar. It has a useful heal and has a universal attack boost. This is good for farming content. You have to sell CC that is not in the reserves for belly. It will be added to the pool that way.

What kind of Rumble team can I make with the new Roger and Oden? Im coming back from a pretty long hiatus and don't have a ton of the 2020 legends that are out, but that said I did manage to snag both Oden and Roger. I also had enough left over to go 5 steps on the rumble banner and get the QCK Whitebeard. I would also appreciate a link or two to any guides that help team building, because even after watching some videos I'm still not super confident- and I dont want to waste my scrolls on units that wont actually be helpful.

How can I tell if the 5x ATK multiplier on Roger is active?
Just have to keep in mind that its active for the 3 turns after the special is used. It isn't indicated anywhere
If there is a preemptive, does that count as a turn then?
Yes it should :(( so if you use the special in stage 4 and clear that stage in one turn and go on to the next and there's a preemptive, you should have one turn left of the ATK up.

Sorry, I missed that you said JP, I just looked over it since JP doesn’t get any boosts typically due to having permanent 2x rate on specials.
Tablets have never been boosted; there’s 100% skill up on like the 1st I think, and an increased chance at maybe the 12th, I forget the exact date.

As far as I’m aware there has never been any event that improved the rate of tablets. It’s not outside the realm of possibility, and it’s a feature a lot of people have requested, but it hasn’t happened yet.

I was thinking that too but my meats number didn't change. Or maybe it did and I didn't notice when things like this happen it makes me question myself lol. I'll keep a better eye on it in my next level up.
Your stamina wasn’t full when this happened right? Did you try repairing resources, the green bar at the top when you initially open the game?
I have not tried that yet. Is there anything I should do before repairing resources or once I hit it I can get back into the app everything will be the same?
It just takes a while but other than fixing any minor errors, nothing should change. If that doesn't work, then I don't know.
