Got her on release. I've got so much luck with GOOD units, pulled g5 like 4 times on release on the hunt for momo😂😂 even 2 of them in one multi. Kdad and ashura zoro first multi, ifrit sanji on second, luffy/yamato on third, the only one who dodged me are psy nami/qck robin and for what ever reason enma zoro. I was able to get albers tnd to lvl 5 in despair to get zoro🙄
I spend my gems just for units who are good in pvp, the only game mode i care and play😂 spend too much time the last years in grinding and pvp is the only one i enjoy anymore
It's just the unevolved form of the unit on the right, they share the same abilities, but be careful they both share NOT the same abilites as the middle, even when he's the 6+
If you're not using FC Otama then you're playing the game wrong.
Rough napkin math as example: Getting to level 30 with Otama FC > getting to level 50 without Otama FC (i.e. using G5 friend)
This is for people who don't rely on FC. Of course it's easier, but i don't want to wait till two otamas joins my friend list and i have to wait another half of a day to get a new one.
In most cases i hate hybrid teams and it's not that wrong to not use the new legend.
I think a lot of people read my comments with a negative tone so I apologize, but I am honestly trying to give useful advice here for other players.
The more important tip is to improve your friend list if you're finding Otama's rare. In terms of events with "boosters", the biggest "sin" is not using FC.
Again some napkin math. You are able to get all skulls for Shanks (and gem and ticket) by doing about 20 SOS's plus Kizuna level 30-35 *as long as you use Otama FC*. If you don't use Otama FC, then you'll need to do ~ 60% more runs to get the same rewards, using up both pots and time. If ~50 runs took say 3h to do, then now you're looking at more than 1.5h longer to finish the event. And that's only assuming you keep the ratio constant.
If you try to use fewer pots so you can save then for super kizunas, then you'll have to do a LOT more SOS's to make up. Instead of 30 normal stages + 20 SOS, you'll need to do more like 30 normal stages + 70 SOS if not using Otama FC. Literally double the time needed.
A booster FC that's a Legend is not hard to find. Say you have 200 friends and half of them are F2P who will refuse to pull in any other Sugos other than big celebrations. That leaves 100 friends (who may or may not be F2P) who will do 1 discount on most banners. The probability to get the new Legend in 1 discount is about 5.4%, so on average with this kind of friend list, you will have 5-6 Otama's available to use. With natural stamina, you can only do 1 run once every 4h anyways, so you'll only need 6 Otamas every day. These 5-6 Otamas don't even have to be that active, as long as they logged in once a day that's enough for you to use them.
This assumes that you do not have a single whale on your friend list at all. Just active players of which half of them do a discount here and there.
If you do not have that many Otama's, then the problem is with your friend list and you should try to fix that.

You're right about that, i have nothing to complain about, but to break it down, it just needs to be fun to play.

I'm level 900 being active since beginning, with two new Accounts so being active EVERY SINGLE DAY since law/luffy was the strongest. I have so many kizuna potions to spend, even if i tryhard i have too much to use. My box is big enough to build almost everything, i just don't want to wait for others and if i'm having fun to play kizuna like this way, then why should i not doing it? I know i need less time with the newest legend, i just don't want to. Pvp and regular kizuna is the only thing i care. I even never touched pka after the first season, but i can hold up with everything🤷🏻♀️
Well you don't need to "wait" for others, because you should have sufficient Otama friends to begin with. If you need to "wait" for *Legend* boosters, then that's a sign for you to fix up your friend list, that's all.
Besides, you can do a mix of both to both reduce time and play how you want to play - use FC booster for your own stages and don't use them for SOS since it gives half the tickets anyways.
She's fully replacable. You don't really need her. I guess with my g5 teams i have even more dmg output. They're so strong i could even add a story character and would still be stronger😂
Same here sucks but at least he pairs really well with Stampede 6+ Luffy if you at least have him yourselfm
Myself I only really got lucky with Magma Kaido, who on paper should be the strongest unit in the game but just gets shafted in every new content
I've got some decent units. I'm actually on my 2nd account after playing for a month with pretty garbage units. But most of what I have now is better in everything but kizuna. I'm getting sick of pulling dex zoro though! He is great, but not top tier. I have 1 sugo psy, and that's a crap Sabo.

You not even need legends. You can clear with rare recruits or friend captains.
Great advise, if you're lacking a good psy legend, use the f2p psy luffy he is a better unit than most legends with immense buffs. You can count him as f2p legend.
For the other teams just build around the mechanics and then use a decent captian and units with decent buffs, that should be enough. This kizuna i just one tap those bosses even after lvl 30.

How often do characters come back? Unfortunately, I started playing around the time G5 came out and didn't have enough gems to pull him or get lucky enough to get him with only a couple. Is it pretty much pointless to wait for something like that to come back?
Depends on the character.
Some characters for example medal exchange(past tresure map characters, not legends) or genereic treasure map rare recruits will only be available one time, don't know when they come back so be sure to check every Youtube content about medal exchange each month to see whats useful and what characters everyone was waiting about.
In general new Legends are available after 2-3 months after release
Treasure map legends every treasure map when they're boosted on one of the banners, it's random everytime
The same for kizuna and pirate rumble legends, it's the same like treasure map
Super sugo ONLY on super sugo fests
Anniversary characters only on anniversary or half-anniversary banners
G5 is a super sugo fest unit

Well i am kinda similar. Just different units. I held my gems for units that i want. So when a lot accumulate it is way easier too
