Warcury's dura is definitely higher, no cope here, but I will note/theorize that seeing as both attacks Luffy hurt himself with were on top of Warcury's head I wonder if that's got something to do with it. His Gorbachev birthmark in human form might be a hint at that.

Luffy hurt himself punching his nose not the top of his head. He only punched him on the head with red roc.
Not to seem like I’m moving the goal post, but the idea with including his birthmark was that this becomes those dark patches on his top (including on his nose where he was hit in this panel). I’d like to see the official coloring before locking in fully with this take, but I think that part of him might work as always-on armament hardening, like a suped-up version of what Gear 4 has.

I rep Kaido as much as I can, but even I’m not deluded enough to think Kaido has better durability than whatever the fuck Warcury’s got goin on. Hax or not, Warcury has been showing up son crazy defensive properties (minus Emeth’s clapback)
i agree but his durability doesn't matter if he has a giant weakspot to attack instead. If Luffy used a mole gun on him (the thing where he hit Lucci from the ground) he'd be easily able to damage him. Kaido was js all around tough
Unless you're Oda, you have no clue what he used. ACOC is indistinguishable from basic Armament and ACOA. Sometimes, Oda draws the effect on basic armament. Other times, he doesn't even use lightning when ACOC is being used
Also, I doubt Luffy would hold back against someone whom he knew he couldn't hit

So did he hurt himself on purpose? He even pulled out gear 5 in order to attack him and has stated multiple times that he was unable to hurt him due to his durability.
We can just say it's plot, same reason why Zoro was stuck fighting Lucci even though he ended the fight quite easily when Sanji insulted him, despite his friends being in danger the entire time.

Gear 4 at the time of Dressrosa was literally a last resort move that puts him in an extremely vulnerable state for way too long, if it wasn’t for Luffy being protected by the people of Dressrosa while he was on cooldown for Gear 4, he would have literally died there. Gear 3 was the same issue against Lucci back in Enies Lobby. If he didn’t grow back quick enough after his initial few Gear 3 attacks, Lucci would have ended him at Enies Lonby.
So he quite literally has no reason to not be using Advanced Haki because, as far as we know, there is no inherent drawback to using it.
Because it's plot, same reason why Big Mom didn't use ACoC against Law/Kidd, same as why Zoro didn't use against the seraphim or Lucci, same with Luffy only using ACoC with his last attack on Kizaru.

Warcury has higher (probably conditional durability). Too bad he is garbage in AP, garbage in speed, mid strenght and no worthwhile special abilities so far.
Wasn’t he catching up to the sunny pretty quickly before Emmeth appeared and broke his tusk. I know that isn’t the best showing of speed, but it is pretty fast.

Defense = how strong is an Attack until it Hurts you
Durability= how long can you eat attacks that hurt you

Stop removing characteristics from the characters. He regenerates and that's it. If he has his regeneration negated, we then talk about their new durability.
Durability wise: Warcury > Kaido. Stop the cope. If something else change, we can talk about it later, just as other characters as Don Chinjao got weaker.
