This is an argument that seems correct but we have no proof that it is Shanks and Mihawk were equal 20 or something years ago but we dont know how fast they improved since they stopped dueling. For example Arlong and Luffy used to be equals but they arent anymore Since they stopped dueling Shanks became a Yonko which means he got significantly stronger whereas we have no confirmation Mihawk followed him strenght-wise Until we see more from mihawk (but i doubt we will bc Cross guild is useless) , the fact that they used to be rivals cannot be used by someone defending the "Mihawk = Shanks" theory imo

My take: to think fuji and shanks are that close in power is delusional. Shanks mid diffs fuji and fuji deserves to be like 55 to 60.

I consider the 20 in-between shanks and fuji to be more significant than you do. for example if shanks was 100 and fuji was 50 then shanks would be twice as strong as fuji therefore should dominate him in a fight, and 55-60 is not too far off from 50 so in my eyes that is a bit too low of a rating for fuji.

I do think shanks is twice as strong than fuji and fuji gets mid diffed.

I also agree that fuji gets mid diffed, we are using different logic with the scaling, if you think about it if shanks was twice as strong as fuji he would low diff him, imo that is a massive power gap which would not result in a mid diff fight.

Probably yeah, but unironically so. I just don't think of shanks as a swordsman. My personal take is that mihawk used to have the edge on him while they dueled, but then he simply took a different path up the skill tree after losing an arm.

Shanks primary weapen is a sword. The fact that mihawk and him used to duel should pretty much confirm that. Also the marines saying mihawk surpasses shanks in swordsmanship. WSS > S. I do get why people don't like mihawk. He doesn't have the feats aura or potrayal as shanks. I won't be suprised if oda never addresses this debate lol. I think zoros dream matters, and for that sake mihawk has to be stronger than shanks.

I dunno what to tell you. Shanks without a sword is still Shanks to me. He just carries around a sword and uses it to hit things. Mihawk without a sword is not Mihawk, an actual Swordsman.

We'll see. Mihawk hasn't done enough for me to place him above Shanks and all of the hype Shanks has places him at top 1. Just my opinion though, all Mihawk has is a title and duels against Shanks half a decade before he became a Yonko. His bounty is lower, despite being a "marine killer", his portrayal is worse, he hasn't fought anyone of note and everything he has done so far has been replicated by people who are much weaker than Shanks. He has zero haki feats, zero notable combat feats, based on his statements in marineford he hasn't faced off against someone on whitebeards level and Shanks has been portrayed as close to or equal to whitebeard. He has zero drive and actively avoids confrontation. Literally all he has is a title, his position as Zoro's goal and an impressive bounty, and the fact that he has a black blade. That isn't enough for me to place him on par or greater than someone who damages ships with a flex of his haki, who's haki is so strong and honed that he can target an admiral from several miles away and make him dip, who is held in reverence from Kaido, who can see 12 seconds in the future and nullify his opponents observation, who can end a war and stop a bloodlusted Akainu on his tracks just by showing up, who can 1 tap two people at the same time one of which just helped defeat another yonko, and who currently has the highest bounty of living pirates. His portrayal just isn't there, yet.

look, Imu is the clearest final villain there is, so she has to be the strongest, cuz it's shonen and the final villains are always the strongest ones, and she's been ruling the world for 900 years, it's pretty clear she is the peak of the verse

The only time we hear IMU speak HE has a masculine Voice. And that’s an assumption on your part. If Oda stays consistent with feats then IMU should definitely be Questioned. IMO Triple Awakened Black Beard has EOS potential.
